Genital Warts (HPV): Skin-to-skin contact is enough to spread HPV, the virus family that causes genital warts. Some types cause warts and are usually harmless, but others may lead to cervical or anal cancer. Symptoms: Pink or flesh-colored warts that are raised, flat, or shaped like cauliflower.

Crabs (Pubic Lice): ‘Crabs’ is a term for the lice that live in pubic hair. They crawl from one person to another during close contact. Symptoms: Intense itching, tiny eggs attached to pubic hair, or crawling lice.

Scabies: Scabies is an itchy infestation caused by a tiny mite that burrows into human skin to lay eggs. Apart from being acquired during sex, it can spread through any skin-to-skin contact. Symptoms: Intense itching especially at night and a pimple-like rash.

Gonorrhea: Gonorrhea spreads easily and can lead to infertility in both men and women, if untreated. Symptoms: Common symptoms are burning during urination and discharge, skin rashes. Senate President, Bukola Saraki has affirmed that he will not defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Saraki described President Muhammadu Buhari’s reaction to Tuesday’s election of National Assembly leaders as a “great mark of leadership”.

In a statement issued by his media office yesterday, the Senate President lauded Buhari for remaining steadfast in his commitment not to interference in National Assembly politics, even in the face of great pressure on him to act otherwise.

“This shows that Mr President is a man of great conviction who, in his own words, belongs to everyone and to no one,” he said.

Saraki also denied insinuations that he had a plan to defect to PDP, describing the insinuation as “absurd and laughable.”

“It is just cheap blackmail by political adversaries who want to call a dog a bad name in order to hang it. And those making such desperate allegations should remember that I willingly left the PDP on matters of principle when the party was in power. Is it now that the party is out of government and in opposition that I will now return, having worked so hard for my party in the last general elections?” He queried.

He urged all members of the National Assembly to put politicking behind them and settle down for the proper business of law making.

“Our country is going through a very trying times. We have the challenge of insecurity in the North East. The massive problem of youth unemployment and general economic challenges occasioned by major fall in revenue – all these against the huge public expectation that propelled our party into office.

“We have pursued our legitimate aspirations appropriately. Now that the issues have been settled, we need to move on in the larger interest of our people without whose mandate we would not have been in a position to aspire to these positions in the first place,” he noted.

President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday explained why he challenged the results of the presidential elections of 2003, 2007 and 2011 in court.

The former head of stated spoke in Abuja when Delta State All Progressives Congress members visited him.

Buhari explained that he took the decision because he believed Nigeria needed freedom.

According to him, “Going through the court is not easy, both materially and physically, and I maintained that consistency because my view about my country is that Nigeria should be truly free.”

He equally commiserated with the delegates over the murder of some people during the last general elections.

The president-elect stated, “I understand why many of you, who were denied the opportunity to choose those you want to represent and lead you are taking the line I took in the last 12 years – in line with our constitution.

“Whether you get it or not, the most important thing is that you believe in the system and you should continue to try until the system is perfect.

“I express my condolence to you for the people murdered and I assure you that my objective of remaining consistently in partisan politics is to make sure that Nigerians are given their inherent right to choose whoever they want to lead them,” he said.

The president-elect said that he would never support anybody who underrate the right of Nigerians.

Buhari said that the first objective of the APC would be security, adding that insecurity destroyed the economy.

The leader of the delegation and the APC governorship candidate in the state, Otega Emerhor, claimed that the PDP disenfranchised the people of Delta and the South-South at both the presidential and governorship elections.

He stated, “As our submission to the tribunal in respect of the governorship and state assembly elections will demonstrate, in truth, the majority of Deltans were ready for the change you represent and were geared to vote massively for you and APC.

“Unfortunately, a grand design executed by the PDP in the South-South and South- East and particularly in Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom made sure that no proper elections took place”.
