Two things will affect his growth;
1. The narrative of he's just, 17, 18, now he's just 19...
2. The way this team is playing.

I'm concerned because many fans saying, he's just 19 will soon, term him as a casualty and move on. Our loyalty lies with the club.

The term contenders, in most competitons, is used for squads that have the firepower to win it.

Like in a world cup, you'll say Brazil, Germany, France are contenders. Because the gap was wide does not mean or because France won every team on the way to the title, for example, does not make Germany less of a contender. But I get the point.

Thing is City was a main contender.

In every competition there are contenders. The closest to the first position, is a close contender.

If they weren't contenders, then the trophy would have been given to Liverpool on first day of the competition.
