Politics / Re: Obaseki’s Use Of Concrete Opens New Vista For Roads In Edo- Vanguard by Odumanudo: 9:58am On May 16, 2017
Gov. Obaseki started well. He seems to be prudent and transparent in his dealings with Edo State's finances. Concrete roads are new in Nigeria. Let wait and see how the innovation works out.
Every level of government in Nigeria should adopt openness and transparency in handling the affairs of state.
Crime / Re: Man Caught With Locally Made AK47 In His Car On His Way To Kafanchan, Kaduna by Odumanudo: 9:31am On May 16, 2017
I am tempted to say free the gun-runner, because his people (the kajes or southern Kaduna) need the weapons for self defence. However, crime is crime no matter the ration behind the crime. Advice to those who need weapons for self-defence, please go for permit or license. If denied, take extreme caution to prevent being caught.
But how come no Fulani herdsmen have been arrested despite openly carrying dangerous weapons around. The application of the law should be even and just.
All the kajes should rally round this man to engage the best SANs for him.
Travel / Re: FG To Merge Arik, Aero As National Carrier by Odumanudo: 11:32am On May 15, 2017
The idea is good. But my fear is the usual government interference in the management of the airline. I hope Politicians and their family members will not turn the airline if it comes to fruition to their personal means of transportation.
The airline if eventually emerged should be professionally run by the professionals without the interference from the ruling party and its members. Airline business is technical and capital intensive. No airline will survive with any form of corruption or mismanagement. The proponent of this idea should look at the pros and coin of the merger of the two airlines and adumbrate the viability of a national airline.
Romance / Re: After Dating For 7 Years, He Called Off Our Engagement. by Odumanudo: 9:58am On May 10, 2017
neocortex:
His excuse for breaking up is just an excuse, what
he really wish for is a wife that answers "Yes Sir" to
everything he does and you don't happen to fit that
description.
So, let him go for his type.

Next time, don't put your eggs in one basket.
Please put your eggs in 20 "amanode" baskets. This is what you can come up with?

One word "incompatibility". If after 7 years you still do not understand what up-set your man, then something is terribly wrong. You did not state the financial status of your man, that would have helped in shaping my advice as regards the gold jewelry issue. Please do not allow your parents taste or cravings determine your own standard. Please put down your idiosyncrasies- attitude about being in USA, PHD in view, from a wealthy home, uncontrolled temperament and budding feminist activism. No real dud would want his pride to be taken away; not for love or money.
Hold an all embracing talk with him and promise to respect his opinion and standing in life. Bet you, your man will run back to you.

Politics / Re: Buhari Insulted Osinbajo Before Leaving - FFK by Odumanudo: 8:44am On May 10, 2017
The President's kitchen cabinet or rather handlers are bunch of mischievous guys. PMB may not have taken note or read meaning of the word "co-ordinating". PMB's intention is very clear. He is temporarily handling over the affairs of governance in the hands of his Vice. The constitution does not recognise the words "co-ordinating the affairs of Government" but rather Acting President. The brouhaha about the whole affair should be laid to rest.
Politics / Re: Three Recommendations From The Senate Report Which Nailed SGF, Lawal by Odumanudo: 12:39pm On Apr 20, 2017
Just some salient questions: (i) Who is in charge of PINE? (II) Who awarded the controversial grass clearing contract? (iii) Which company won the contract? (iv) Did the company follow the laid down procurement rules? (v) Is Lawal Babachir a director in the company that eventually carried out the contract? (vi) Who are the signatories to the company's accounts? (vii) Did Lawal Babachir benefit in anyway from the grass cutting contract award?
let Mr. Lawal Babachir do justice to the above referred questions and let watch Mr. Osibanjo led committee do its job. On openness and transparency we stand. The guilty must be punished and the just set free.

Politics / Re: External Reserves Hit 2017 High At $30.56bn by Odumanudo: 11:41am On Apr 20, 2017
This is good/bad news. Good news that the foreign reserve is increasing, but bad news that the crude production has fallen to 1.2 million barrels per day. OPEC gave Nigeria a production window of 2.2 million barrels per day. PMB and his crew should sit tight to remedy the situation. We need to earn all the Dollars as much as possible from the maximum production of crude. However, we need the highest transparency and openness in the oil sector and the management of FOREX.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Never Break Up: Here Is Why by Odumanudo: 6:36pm On Apr 19, 2017
Polemics at its peak. This piece totally ignored reality and romanticizes idealism. A case of what its (Nigeria) ought to be as against what it is. Well done dreamer. If only you can go up Gusau or Dutse and contest for any political position and come back to idealize this piece met for parasitic elements. Guy you dey learn work.

TV/Movies / Re: Court Lifts Injunction On “okafor’s Law” Movie, To Show In Cinemas Tomorrow by Odumanudo: 6:52pm On Mar 30, 2017
Taking into consideration the nature of delay of cases in our courts, the speed at which the matter was quickly resolved in the court call for questioning of the whole brouhaha. One wonders if this was not a publicity stunt. Ex-parte injunction was granted 4 days ago restraining the producer from airing the film, the main application was heard today and was refused. Hmmmmmm, the more you look the less you see kind of stuff. Happy viewing.
Politics / Re: Dino Melaye Wore Academic Gown To Senate Plenary Today (Photos) by Odumanudo: 1:50pm On Mar 28, 2017
Amoyinoluwa24:
The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye caused a stir among senators today by appearing at Senate plenary in an academic gown.

The move by the senator comes after online news platform, Sahara Reporters alleged that he did not graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

When will our "leaders" going to be serious in this country? This issue of whether Dino graduated from ABU has been turned into a charade by Dino himself, ABU VC and the Senate. We are watching as the drama unfolds.
