I thought I already addressed this idiocy from Idowu now you
How sis we talk about liver and kidney
Where those my diagnosis or the working diagnosis from eruwa

Look
It is noble for you and some others to admit here that you messed up big time
We now have a patient in critical condition and you are still here talking nonsense
My idiocy is a lot better than your hyperactivity and tribalism which is blinding you.

As at December were we not all here when they called for doctors with the fear that the hospital might be complacent? Who turned up?

Dear Xyz

Greetings from Fortis Healthcare India!!
Thanks for your query.
We have received your query regarding Treatment at Fortis Hospitals.
Fortis Hospital is the largest hospital chain in India and is one of the largest in Asia. All the Hospitals in the chain have state-of-the-art infrastructure. The technology used is most modern and in compliance with International Standards. Fortis Group is famous for high success rates and medical outcomes.
Based on the brief information provided by you I have already discussed your query with eminent Doctors here and you are requested to kindly send me all the medical reports and scans so that I can revert back to you with the exact line of treatment along with the cost estimates.

We have Liver and Kidney Transplant specialists in Fortis Healthcare Ltd who have been doing many transplants a day. A liver transplant cost is USD 42,000 and the patient needs to get with him/her a blood compatible donor. Kindly find attached the details regarding transplant.
Also, I was hoping if you could please send me the medical reports of the patient so that I can take an opinion from the doctors here regarding kidney transplant.
I am here as a true friend and would help you in every possible way. Please feel free to contact me anytime at+91-9582801864 in case of any doubts.

Kind regards,

Dr Divya Verma | Deputy Manager- International Business | Fortis Healthcare Limited
This is from Babyosisi herself when she was still here scream liver and kidney problem. This is the price they quoted for you. Which prompted them to stick to Nigeria and hope the tests bring something else.
The same Babyosisi was the one shouting Livet and Kidney from wherever she was when that was not the problem wait for test no. Now she is screaming cancer

From $42k reduce to what exactly..... undecided undecided

na prayer sure pass
This post is as early as November 17 where it was made clear by these people that the money raised is not enough to travel. You can follow the link if you want.

Now you come here to claim no one thought of it.

I pray God forgives you people

Can these touts stop harrasing people with different views?
Thats how you shut off and drove babyosisi away twice, now we are trying to see what can be done they are attacking and hovering around to "like" what kind of stupid nonsense ego is that?
I am on my last ounce of patience enough is enough
Who cares what your last ounce of ego is? Babyosisi the renowned tribalist has been running around here saying the Indian option was not considered but it was and due to cost shelved. I can dig up links and they you will see how far your myopia and denying gets

Babymama1:
What you are doing now is called Monday morning quarterbacking
Did anyone invested in this case propose any of those your reasons as pitfalls at the various times this came up?
No
The argument was that I was jumping ahead of myself
In fact I was accused of wishing DJ cancer and death
They told us they needed to get tests results and a definitive diagnosis and I wrote in bold that we have wasted enough time testing
Isn't it the same donors that sent him to the hospitals he had been to that will send him to India?
Was the money to India ever mentioned as the reason why that option was never considered seriously?
NO
So why bring that up now?
I don't remember you being active on this thread, you may well go and read the conversations many pages away
How will anyone talk about the cost to India when it wasn't an explored option at the window of time we had to do it?

I contacted India doctors months ago when the diagnosis was chronic liver disease dz and a possible transplant needed and 90% of posters here came down on me,go and read those posts.
I have sent a relative to India on a stretcher,it is not rocket science to go there
I know the process of getting a medical visa to India and I had spoken to their travel coordinator about DJ's case with my own phone
What I lacked was an enthusiasm on the site that this was even an option
Ask members of Tehns if I didn't plead with them way back to take the results so far to fortis for their impression and possible estimate
News of DJ feeling better and the diagnosis of liver abscess that was under control entitled posters to call me a witch basically

I wish the most likes on a post could translate to positive outcome, we won't be here today
Unfortunately it doesn't.

I believe I don't have anything more to say
I am done with the topic for now and will just watch events like any other person with fingers crossed.
Your turn.
I will gladly call you out on this
A member of the group already said in November that travelling out would not be easy due to cost hence the need for prayers. I dint know what you gain from lying but as a tribalist who Babyosisi is (I can dig up your threads and posts) you are lying.

It wad mentioned here that the money was not sufficient to take him to India

colossus2:
I am miles away.
Do you think those who clamoured for him to be taken abroad just said it and wanted to fold their arms.
We all know the situation of the Nigerian health sector.
One thing is certain, if you have experienced this, you won't want DJ to be treated here.
From the onset, the mission was to take him out of naija right from Eruwa.
Things changed, hide and seek game came to play etc.
70% of funds raised squeezed by the hospital who knew what they were doing.
Initial funds raised was a kick-starter for any trip abroad, and more fund would have been raised.
This thread is boiling all because a neighbour came out to talk, and the blame game on her for opening up, then the long awaited and much needed update surfaced huh
Why are you folks like this? You said no one took travelling out seriously but you forget that as early as November consultations were already made with the indian hospital and it was seen that it was not an option. R231 said it on this thread that travelling will be difficult

ileobatojo:
Oh, a kidney biopsy. My assumption was that the kidney problem was a consequence of the liver abscess which got too severe. But I suppose the docs think there is something else going on. Ok, will keep watching for updates.
A liver Biopsy.
The diagnosis is out and the doctor says Hamed has "Liver Abscess". This is caused by an infection of the liver and he has been put on antibiotics in the hope that the infection will be cured. The illness started about 3 months ago (according to Hamed) and hopefully, it has not gone beyond treatment. The consultant mentioned that with the treatment he is getting, his urine will increase which is how the fluid accumulated in his belly will be passed out and hamed confirmed that he has been urinating frequently in the last couple of days. Hopefully, there won't be a need to operate or have a transplant.

I hear you...that would make me question the ability of LUTH to diagnose a problem...or the availability of relevant up to date testing equipment. At least these here somehow managed to make DJ's condition improve.....but the reports are needed to get to the root of the problem. Is it that they know what is the problem and are stringing us out for all we raised?
Or the results are not enough to give a complete diagnosis. They already mentioned stage one kidney disease. We should wait abeg

So we still can't get a report.. Since DJ has been stable for the last few days maybe teHN should request DJ be discharged. I am almost sure they will immediately produce a report. What I fear the most is that in the end ....they will produce a hefty bill and declare the tests are not conclusive.
Here is something to think of.....if LUTH kept requesting for tests and running more test that he had to leave, maybe whatever is wrong is has not been found

Em... Am I the only one getting impatient with all this delay with test result?! huh Make dem do am shapally so as to know what we are up against.
If we want to get an accurate diagnosis we can work with, we have to wait.

It is unfortunate but true.

stage one kidney medical disease sounds pretty much an early and possibly treatable stage to a layman like me.
Hope it gets better. I have a feeling transplant may not be required.
Perhaps. But it is a preliminary test result.

Lets wait for the electro-phoresis results first. Then we know sone other stuff

. Maybe it was better for someone to draw a blood sample and Fedex it abroad for analysis. I'm beginning to lose confidence in this hospital.
*sighs*
If the initial tests he did at the previous hospitals can't be used, they wont base results on basic blood work you know. If the hospital said they want to carry out all the tests and then make a proper diagnosis, it should tell us they dont want to speculate at all. Blood work, alongside the tests mentioned yesterday should give us a clearer picture

Great PR work r231!....Not in the medical field...but I'm having a problem with this his diet...bread and rice?...is there a dietitian? ...then again this is wayyy too long for a hospital to have results for basic tests. Maybe it was better for someone to draw a blood sample and Fedex it abroad for analysis. I'm beginning to lose confidence in this hospital.
Rice and bread might not be a combination of rice and bread. Perhaps he had rice and then he decided to have a little bread of vice versa.

Everything does not have to be spelt out na.

When you are sick, you might crave for something and when you eat a little, you get tired of it and ask for something else. It is allowed.

This is why I say you are counterproductive and needs to either shut up or be taken off by someone
A devil parading as a saint
Didn't you read me say I will plead on his behalf when I get the results of his tests and speak with the doctor
You are also criticizing that?
What is wrong with getting an estimate of a transplant when a transplant is being anticipated
What is your real motive on this thread?
You better tell the house because so far nothing good has come from you but criticisms
You are pretending to be sympathetic to this cause but you definitely are not
You know what I do for a living
What is yours?
If the prospect of a transplant or the money involved scares you then get off the freaking thread for heaven's sake
There are people who wanted to know those updates and they have spoken and are satisfied knowing what we are against

What team are you on?
How are you helping this cause besides the idiocy you are displaying here

And you have managed to turn this into a joystick waving contest. Cool cheesy

olu4life:
Its very glaring what u meant so cut the pun.
End of Discussion
I don't think you actually get it. No hospital in India, China or Puerto Rico can do anything without the results of the tests that will be obtained tomorrow.

Even the mail she received, she was asked to getting nd in a doctor's report. Does she have it? Does she have any credible result to work with? Will it give her jedi jedi to open a new mail, send the reply to her team and wait a couple of hours so they can have the report, send it to India and get all the details?

If the results don't come you can as well call all the hospitals in India. She even mentioned calling the doctor to beg when you have not even sent a full list of what you want from them.

It pays to be prepared but it is always better to know what you are working with so you can make informed decisions and not allow sentiments and fear take over.

Abeg make una no make LASTMA catch me ooooo

Between you and jaybee please tell me the diagnosis from ikeja at least the differentials
LUTH and eruwa says it is CLD or malignancy

This is no time for criticisms dear
I don't know if you have followed this or coming in at the middle.
There were three teams created for three specific purposes
Team B was created for finding out facts from India and this is in line with that
What is better, being told by the VI hospital and we start making plans or being prepared for it already based on diagnosis from Eruwa and LUTH?
What tests? He left LUTH cos he could not afford the tests.

The tests at Eruwa were inconclusive. I doubt you even looked to find out who the doctor at Eruwa is. He is known for his research in alternative medical methods (BBC did a special on him once) so I won't take those tests anywhere.

If you ask me, this will be the first tests we can use. Now relax and wait for the results then we know what to do next

You people are getting ahead of yourselves here. Why not just wait for the test results before jumping the gun?

Are you that desperate for his health to be bad? Cos that's what this seem like. You are not even hoping for the best, you are already assuming the worst.

Update
Djdola has now been admitted to the life support medical centre at Ikeja. The hospital will facilitate all necessary tests needed to provide a proper diagnosis. He is currently undergoing consultation and we will provide further details as soon as we receive them

We have paid an initial deposit of N130k (please see the attached receipt).
Thanks to each and every one of you for your support.

PS: can we please plead that you restrict your communications with DJ to text messages only at this time.

Regards

TeHN
