How true is this statement that my boss uttered this morning at the staff meeting.

He said and I quote "Tinubu will be the best president Nigeria has ever produced"

For me I didn't see any positivity in this administration or what is your view about the assertion
Very true indeed but it is not without pain, temporary pain.

No wonder north is opposing the bill. No tax on food, when the north produce a lot of food. Which means lower vat proceeds for them
lol
It means that anybody in the North,South or wherever will not have to pay tax on their agric produce.
If you sell for 10 billion naira, you are the owner of your 10 billion naira without you paying tax.
It gives farmers lot and lot of space to make good, cool money which in turn makes them grow more and also makes farm produce cheaper.

Why so much rush & haste in passing this bill? I am suspecting something. I know that if it were for the good and benefit of the masses it won't take this same speed and rush. For instance, the minimum wage bill was delayed before passage. Another example will be electoral reform that must include compulsory transmission of results in real time not that manual rubbish! But they ll not give it the needed speed and attention just because it ll not favour them.
Very selfish set of people.
The rush is to alleviate sufferness of the poor. They will no more pay tax No tax on agric products and a lot of food products etc

What tinubu and den of 40 thieves are proposing is that it's only minimum wage that earn less than 70k per month will be exempted from personal income tax

It now means that if someone salary is 80k.15% of 80k is 15k, and the person take home will now be 65k. You cN see the kind of heartless rulers we have and they are Indifferent to the economic struggle average Nigerians are facing.
Worst part about this tax bill is that they didn't calculate the inflationary effect on the disposable income of Nigerianz
lol
Illiteracy is a disease.
You read or they read it to you but you still couldn't understand.

The tax bill is pro poor because if you earn less than 1,2m in a year, you are not paying tax, unlike now when even if you make 300 thousand in a year, you will pay 7% tax.
That is wickedness and it inhibits growth of the individual. SMEs are exempted from paying tax etc .

You must be one of those smugglers and their cohorts trying to fight the tax bill

For your information, the tax bill will be passed and it will bring a lot of growth and positivities to Nigerians and Nigeria.

Expectedly as it is, in all democracies across the globe, intense lobbying is already going on, particularly among the 469 federal lawmakers to get the bills fully considered at both chambers and passed.

This is what a Democrat like Tinubu will do.

Ojuntana:
Local refining has always been a solution

However, it must be said that Nigerians should be amazed at how fuel price dropped to 935 when the majority of fuel is imported.

I thought imported petrol can't be cheap below exchange rate. How come imported petrol is now competing with locally refined fuel at the rate of $0.6 when petrol is being sold $0.8 on average at the cheapest rate worldwide? What happened to all the calculations of landing cost that we used to be bamboozled with?

If there's no subsidy presently and Nigerian petrol is still far cheaper than US, UK and our neighbours and is actually comparing with Saudi and Libya in terms of price, that shows that subsidy payment has been a scam all along. Nigerians were being robbed blind.
All those who ever paid subsidy or protested against its removal should be shot
That is the more you look, the less you see that has been happening in Nigeria for a long time.
This is why I support T-Pain.
It is a gradual thing.

While I do not oppose the reform, my question remains: is it only the poor citizens who should bear the burden of its implementation? We have witnessed the lavish and extravagant lifestyles of the President, Cabinet members, and members of the National Assembly - lndividuals who are clearly shielded from any form of hardship. Despite this, they have refused to make meaningful adjustments to their spending, while the poor, who are already struggling to afford basic necessities, are being told to endure the pain. Is this not a glaring display of deceit and insensitivity on the part of President Tinubu's administration?
I support you on this.
Politicians are so wicked and heartless.

Obi really failed in his administration in Anambra as governor?
He was an utter failure.
Governor Soludo harped on his failure and Obidients attacked him.

He always says says that his achievement is taking Anambra to the 1st position in WAEC which is a lie because WAEC had never ranked states since it was established.
Mr Obi and his cohorts started that propaganda and it was on for a decade until some people inquired from WAEC and WAEC said it was a fraud.

People were being killed and thrown into Ezu river, schools were shut for more a year, doctors went on strike for more than a year etc when Obi was governor.

Though I cannot throw his advice into a waste bin,he is a hypocrite.

Politics › Re: Change Your Ways Or Be Voted Out,’ Kano NNPP Tells Tinubu by Ofemannnu:
Pls,make una ask the man if he voted for Tinubu in 2023.
He didn't of course.
Tinubu will still win without him and his cohorts.

This man is just an illiterate who doesn't know that positive reforms that put nations on a growth pedestal, are always very negative in the beginning but the end will put the nation at the top in terms of growth et al.

Nations like China, Singapore etc went through suffocating reforms but now they are the doyens of development.
Nigeria cannot continue to move on the trajectory that it has been on for decades because it has continually continue to sink.
There is great pain, hunger et al in Nigeria but it will ease very soon.God always triumphs.

The reforms are necessary at this trying moment and the pain is temporary.
There is a huge bright light at the end of the tunnel.

Sowore once asked Obi if any of his children can attend the Schools Obi handled in Anambra or if Obi can visit any hospital he funded in Anambra. Obi failed to provide positive answers to this questions. Rather, his headless disciples rained circles and insult on Sowore. Now their messiah is now giving advice on questions he failed to answer . As a governor, doctors went on strike for 13 months at a stretch and that's the person giving advice today

To be candid,I think Tinubu should use one of the hospitals in Nigeria for his medical check up.Even if it is for a couple of times.

Xisnin:
This is funny.
I supposed this is the reason Buhari rushed to commission Dangote's refinery because
someone else may claim the credit even though they never contributed.

It is not about working or not working.
It is about funding and sometimes conception.
I credited Buhari because he spent the most money on it even though he didn't start it.
What exactly did Tinubu do to revive the refineries since being sworn in?

There is no "telecom journey". That is too broad.
There was landline(NITEL and predecessor) and there is GSM.
Everybody knows who initiated the opening up of Nigeria to GSM technology.
No contest here.
Only kids will credit OBJ with telecoms. Adults will talk about GSM.

Suppose Tinubu couldn't complete Lagos-Calabar highway for whatever reason, then someone after few months in office
now commission it. Does it make any sense to credit such office holder with a project in which
their contribution is little to nothing?
What you don't understand seem to be more than what you understand in governance in relation to Nigeria.

It is not only Buhari that spent on the refineries without a tangible result.
Previous govts have spent billions too.
You know why it didn't work?
Corruption of course with the president looking the other way or even complicit.
They always start projects to embezzle the billions voted for them.

Tinubu is a little more cerebral and serious to leave a positive legacy than allow his legacy project undone.

He will do it in phases and commission the different phases.
To my mind,Tinubu will find a way to finish the project in his 8 years, probably finish it at the end of his 7th year.

Yes is the answer.
