Politics › Re: Boko Haram Are Killing More Muslims Than Christians - US Envoy by Ofemannnu: 7:31am On Oct 18, 2025
Yes,they are evil. They are surely killing themselves more than the Christians.
Today you will hear...40 farmers killed in their farms, tomorrow or even that evening,30 villagers gunned down by ISWAP,next day could be all worshipers in a mosque in Katsina were wiped out.
Sometimes I wonder if these are human beings that are been decimated every time like this by their fellow humans.I just don't understand this madness.
I just pity Nigeria especially the core North.

https://leadership.ng/publish-contractual-details-of-lagos-calabar-coastal-highway-atiku-tells-federal-govt/
Foolish people.Otti in Abia is doing his mediocre road in Abia for #6 billion per km.Umahi said the coastal road with its coastal road accessories et al will averagely cost #7.5 billion.
All the ones that previous govts budgeted and ended up swallowing the money like the 2nd Niger bridge (that Buhari later executed ),the railways, the $16 billion dollar electricity fraud, the Ajaokuta steel complex, the CCTV multibillion dollar project in Abuja, the humongous money budgeted for Abuja yearly (just under 3 years,Wike has done more projects than all the previous FCT ministers)and a host of other frauds perpetrated by even Atiku under Obasanjo.

Atiku is stupendously and dangerously corrupt....Obasabjo.

If most past govts, even after inflating their contracts (they will surely inflate it even Umahi,it is in their blood) have gone ahead executing them,Nigeria would have been better than South Africa.

Most Nigerians know they will steal from the money of the projects but let them execute them. The problem of Nigeria is projects not being executed but budgeted for yearly.
We have abandoned projects all over the country.Very wicked people.
Politics › Re: Yoruba People Clash Over Who Is Superior Between Tinubu And Awolowo by Ofemannnu: 1:12pm On Oct 17, 2025
Awolowo is dead and as at today,he is the greatest Yoruba leader due to what he achieve d.
There is no politician either dead or alive in Nigeria that is up to Awolowo in lasting and superior achievements and hindsight.
The way Tinubu is going,he might become as great as Awolowo or even surpass him.It all depends on achievements, landmarks and what you were able to give the populace positively when you were alive.

For this government, after two years, the huge returns from crude oil subsidy removal and currency devaluation have not filtered down to the citizens to ease the hardship engineered by those policies.

Currently, the money we pay to service debts is three times more than the budget for education and about six times more than the health budget.

When it is said that the Buhari and Tinubu led-APC governments are bad omen for this nation, zombified supporters said we are wailers and haters of Nigeria. Today reality continued to proved who was right and wrong.
Unfortunately,we were borrowing money to pay workers in Nigeria in 2014/2015.
Fastest growing economy on paper.
Yes,oil sold like mad but when price came down to $87 pbd from $100 plus pbd for a long time,we resorted to borrowing to pay mere workers. No tangible infrastructures,no NELFUND,No free technical colleges and free food with #22,500 monthly pocket money,no free healthcare for old pensioners,no reduction in dialysis money,no gigantic infrastructural development in the 6 geo political zones and so on like Tinubu is doing under 3 years.
All the humongous revenue made was siphoned.
Wicked leaders.

Let’s not allow APC to propagandize us into accepting that their internal politics is our national politics. We should instead be asking them to account for the incalculable injuries they’ve collectively inflicted on our economy, our freedoms, our national emotions, and for reversing whatever little progress we were making before they took over.."

Alhamdulilah, this is a good news. I hope our leaders will wake up now. I really wish the US government can arm the Nigeria christians especially the people of Benue State, Plateau State and Southern Kaduna. Since our leaders cannot protect the Christians, let the christians start defending themselves.

You cannot be granting terrorists amnesty, enlisting them in Nigeria Army, negotiating with them and want us to believe you're fighting insecurities.
I concur.

Politics › Re: Obi Did Nothing To Uplift The Education Sector In Anambra - Wike Tackles Obi by Ofemannnu: 9:26am On Oct 17, 2025
It was during his time that they paid some news outlets to carry fake news of WAEC's ranking of states. They did this for a decade and because people saw the pattern of the ranking being almost the same every year, verification was sought from WAEC.
It was then that WAEC came out that they had never ranked states in their existence because they exist in 5 African nations.
It was this dubious fake ranking that Mr Obi was lying upon that Anambra became better educationally under him because Anambra topped.I think he did badly in education by allowing the teachers to go on strike for 13 months.Heard doctors too went on strike for more than a year. Anambra was on auto pilot when HE Obi was their governor. He was a complete disaster.

No, the premise that Britain is not mathematically proficient than France, Switzerland and Germany is not supported by recent data.
The UK performs above average in the OECD's PISA 2022 math assessment, while England's scores are lower than Germany and Switzerland, but better than France. Other factors, like the percentage of adults with low numeracy skills, can paint a different picture.

Free opinion. No people or tribe prays for their people to invade another region in millions but I wouldn't blame Igbos much because it is the same Nigeria.Yorubas have the highest number of people in the civilised world because those places are better than ours.

That is if Yoruba can invade Enugu or SE in millions.May God forbid Yorubas leaving their region in millions to another region. That means something terrible has happened to their region.

Frankly,Igbos can become governors in SW if they amend their ways. Most Yorubas love them only that it is the other way round with the Igbos.

ariesbull:
Having seen many people go down with kidney and liver problem which are mostky life style and one of the vulprit6is agbo either taken as a man or those pregnant women taking them die their unbien baby what is prevalence here in Lagos and this is likely to affect the unbien child also .

Across many Nigerian streets, agbo sellers advertise their herbal concoctions as miracle cures for all ailments—from malaria to infertility. Yet behind these claims lies a silent public health threat.

Most of these mixtures are prepared by illiterate individuals in unhygienic environments, often beside gutters or open markets. Instead of using safe, consumable alcohol, many rely on industrial alcohol and harmful chemicals to “boost potency.” These unhygienic and unscientific methods expose consumers to serious health risks.

Medical experts have linked the frequent consumption of agbo to a rising incidence of kidney failure, liver damage, stomach ulcers, and hypertension. Sadly, many victims end up spending huge sums on dialysis and medical treatments that could have been avoided.

It is time for the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to clamp down on unregistered herbal sellers and enforce strict regulations on the sale of traditional mixtures. Alongside this, massive public sensitization should be carried out to educate people about the dangers of unregulated herbal consumption.

If these steps are taken, not only will countless lives be saved, but the money currently wasted on treating preventable kidney and liver diseases can be channeled into more productive and meaningful causes for a healthier future.

L
You are right. These agbo sellers may be doing more harm than good.Nafdac should regulate this drug sector rigorously because most of them were trained in the way of old.Heard some guys praising them for coming to their rescue in time of health problems but I think govt should monitor them very closely.
Education › Re: Admissions: Mathematics No Longer Compulsory For Arts Students, Says FG by Ofemannnu: 9:46pm On Oct 14, 2025
malali:
Mathematics Is a Lifeline, Not a Luxury

Dropping Mathematics as a requirement for arts and humanities students may look like inclusion, but in reality, it’s intellectual disarmament.

Math isn’t just about numbers. It’s the language of logic, structure, and critical thinking, the very foundation of coherent thought, debate, and disciplined reasoning that the humanities thrive on.

Every field, from economics, law, and linguistics to philosophy and music, is quietly underpinned by mathematical reasoning: pattern, proportion, structure, rhythm, and evidence-based argument.

To remove Math is to unplug an entire generation from analytical literacy. You may raise enrollment figures, yes, but you lower the nation’s cognitive baseline.

If Nigeria truly wants to compete globally, we should be strengthening Mathematics education, not treating it as optional for those “not gifted with numbers.” That mindset fuels mediocrity.

Great civilizations didn’t grow by lowering the bar, they rose by raising competence and investing in skill mastery.
Doesn't mean that they are dumping Mathematics. It means.....Arts and Humanities students ...... do not need a credit. If they have a pass, all good.
Mathematics is not mandatory for admission to arts and humanities courses in the UK too, but a GCSE pass in mathematics is a general requirement for most students to enter university post-16 education. The specific entry requirements vary by course and university. For some arts degrees, especially those without a strong numerical component, a pass in GCSE mathematics may not be necessary for admission itself, but it could be a general prerequisite for the A-levels or equivalent qualification required for university entry.
