Nok234:The SSV will be operating with another asset when on deployment. With its capability to carry three helos, the other asset most likely a well armed OPV will carry a helo. That's 4 helos already. |
Iblawi1:Let me explain . Jln115 has insecurity issues, when those ships arrive, he knows his arguments here on SA navy being better will be flawed. Remember , the jf17 delivery news is still a shock to him, you want to give him hypertension with this too ni? |
jln115:I'm directing you to ask the navy yourself as we don't care about your opinion here. |
jln115:http://www.navy.mil.ng/ Your response sounds like you're paying for it ![]() |
ActivateKruger:When I said the navy is getting the frigates as confirmed to me by someone who's in the Senate, mr jln said not in 5years time. The government wi be releasing money for the navy in few more weeks. The Nigerian navy knows the necessary thing it needs. The logic here is that we're expanding. Frigates, corvettes and opvs are coming in soon. Our combatant class will also be in service soon which I guess with missiles installed. On serious armour, the CNS said we're getting LST |
How official do you want it? After its success delivering two warships ordered by the Philippine government, state-owned builder PT PAL Indonesia says that it has received orders from several ASEAN countries and from Africa. PT PAL president director Budiman Saleh said African countries like Nigeria, Senegal, Guyana Bissau and Gabon had made orders, while Malaysia was another ASEAN country that had made an order. “We need support from the government. We will cooperate with the Defense Ministry,” said Budiman in Jakarta on Thursday. In May, PT PAL sent the second warship Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) Davao Del Sur-602 to the Philippines, while the previous SSV ship — BRP Tarlac ( 601 ) — was sent in May, 2016. “People see that the Philippines have used the SSV-123 meter long ships. The ships are a magnet for other countries,” Budiman added. Budiman said the Philippines had made another order of two SSV and one SSV hospital ship and two 60-meter long missile-armed ships (KCR-60), while Malaysia had ordered a Landing Platform Dock (LPD) that can transport up to five helicopters. Budiman added that Nigeria had ordered one SSV ship, Senegal had ordered one LPD ship, two KCR-35 meter ships and three KCR-60 meter ships, while Guyana Bissau and Gabon respectively ordered KCR-60 meter ships. He, however, said that the workload of the company shipyard was still far from its capacity. “The workload in April was only 15 percent of shipyard capacity. Therefore, we need to push marketing to ensure the shipyard is optimally used,” he added. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/07/14/shipbuilder-pt-pal-receives-orders-from-asean-african-countries.html |
SamuelAnyawu:In such condition, all military convoy shouldn't be ahead. What if they were faced with RPGS, IEDS? Yes, they returned fire. The military vehicles had to reverse. |
Last two weeks news According to Saleh, Senegal “wanted to place an order” with PT PAL for a landing platform dock (LDP) as well as KCR-40 and KCR-60 guided missile fast attack craft while Guinea-Bissau and Gabon each wanted to procure KCR-60 craft. Few days later, order was confirmed even by CNN. |
jln115:Like you had an official confirmation for NNS centenary apart from the 2012 MOU? other details came out during the manufacturing ![]() You can keep waiting. Oh, I remember hmm115 said MoU is useless. |
jakeporeshenko:I agree. Why is Zimbabwe not spending on its military, knowing what what she will be facing after Mugabe's era. |
ActivateKruger:How much does a mirage2000 cost? Oh, "used". |
Senegal had ordered one LPD ship, two KCR-35 meter ships and three KCR-60 meter shipsThe West African waters is becoming more competitive. I am sure Senegal is planning something big for her air force. |
Henry240:Congratulations to the NAVY, a lot of good news lately. |
Henry240:The SSV now means New vessels with AA,ashw etc are coming. Not in 5 years ![]() |
SamuelAnyawu:The incident could have been well handled. Firstly, the military security attached to the convoy was driving ahead. The military personnel seems to be less than 12. Secondly, who puts over 50 well armed police officers in a school bus in such area? Thirdly, civilians don't know how to handle driving fire figh. The bokoharam members started shooting immediately the military vehicles passed. |
ActivateKruger:Just look at what you typed. |
jln115:Except manufacturing takes years. No big deal, you have money on ground and then you place order. You can see the Senegal, etc? I hope you know the money is being provided based on urgency? Anyway, it's your opinion. A maximum of 2 years should be enough for manufacturing . |
Jln115, I'm straight man. ![]() |
jln115:Not? When the money will be approved in weeks or two months maximum? |
Why not? A student / investor and CEO/ co-founder. E-commerce and telecommunication equipment manufacturing company. I love my job but it ain't easy. |
xwolverine:When it comes to beauty, I think it's the flankers. They're very beautiful on air. I see nothing special with the rafale. ![]() |
The navy is actually getting the money according to what I was told me. They said they summoned the CNS on the reason why we've been loosing enough and that much Money on bunkers etc . In which after everything, they asked the NAVY for the amount needed to keep the Nigerian waters safe. The amount listed and procurement details were provided by the CNS. The bill or whatever will be passed to the Senate soon according to my source. He said then, they can approve the money . The money isn't for hardware procurement alone but he said as he's not a member of the house, he can only say much when it gets to his side at the Senate but the money will be approved very soon. I guess the NAVY, went to PTPAL to know about the SSV after the report summoned them. So this isn't a wish list, all we need now is the Senate to make the approval and the navy can start shopping. Been trying to post this write-up for the past few hours but network ish.. ....about the submarine, the shit is in the list. Actually, those prices are not rot one single asset. E.g in the write up, we can see 120M USD for OPV but in CNS Proposal, the amount / units and class of the OPV are being mentioned. The nigga ain't telling me anything again. He said I should wait for the media. So at you all angry about the submarine stuff, it's coming to us too. I remember patches saying no SSA country can operate a sub again for now. ![]() I don't care all I know now is the NAVY will soon be well fortified. |
jln115:Nah, military spending is not tot be increased. The post says: " According to him, the proposed funding for maritime safety architecture |
rka2:Damnnn .. Nigeria we're coming through!! We need money. How much is the Navy's share in the budget? According to him, the "proposed" funding. Nigeria has lost billions to pipeline vandals, it's better we spend the money on something reasonable. I hope they get the funding, that's some crazy big list. |
Vivos:When making investments , this are what you plan. You should have a foresight and when you hit your target and the audience economy isn't helping issues, you do what? YOU EXIT! |
holatin:He actually typed something meaningful. Investment is a very critical decision. If you know about investing or if you've ever invested up to #200M in a company, you'll know he made alot of sense. While picking investment, you have to be very careful. I do not know the guy's profile but your board and investment team alone can't guarantee you a perfect ROI. The best investment is in that industry where you are good at. |
GreenandGold:Oh, thanks. ![]() |
GreenandGold:Damn. Isn't it suppose to be summer? ![]() |
lionel4power:The SU24 has proven to be efficient at that. The EA-18G is also another dangerous EW aircraft. |

DictatorZAR1:Executive outcome could not work without NAF backup. They used NAF for most of their operations. Argue and I will back up with facts. |
Henry240:Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Deputy Minister of Mining, Strategic Industries, and State-Owned Enterprises Ministry Fajar Harry Sampurno said that Nigeria is exploring the procurement of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) war ship. "Nigeria is interested in bringing in a warship made by Pal Indonesia and the two sides have been in talks for the procurement," Harry said at the office of the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday. According to Harry, the type of warship to be built PAL still has not been determined whether the destroyer of the Missile (PKR) or Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV). "The realization of this procurement of warships will be tailored to the needs and budget of the country. The SSV's general specifications include 123.0 meters long, 21.8 meters wide, 5 meters water fiber, 7,200 tons weights, and 621 people carrying capacity. With the successful export of warships to the Philippines it invites investments in the form of similar warships from other countries. |
