Setting up more power storage. 7S 28p with 2.5ah 18650 3.7v cells (67.5ah). These battery storage separators have made the job quite easy and stress free for me.

most 24v inverters are compatible with li-ion 7s battery configuration including 14s for 48v inverters, it is only 3s configs that have small wahala

It does, once used a buck convert(20A) to step down a charger of output (14.4v 20A) to 12.6v, hoping It wasn't going to alter the amps, but unfortunately the highest amps I could pull using the buck convert was 10Amps.

Yes, energy need is the koko especially when all appliances need to be turned on at once. If done in bits 12v still works great with sense.

If at I will hit 48v it will be 314ah i.e approximately 2m for cells only.

For now, I will still do another 12v at 314ah --- 4kwh as an upgrade but with 6000w Satchet inverter. All die na die .

charging time is the only downside I've with 12v systems.

Welcome to my reality, agreed that the power density is insane but the stress as well as the materials needed if one is to do it properly is on another level, with lifepo4 one only needs to add busbars and slap on a bms and u're done.

All in less than an hour.

And with the drastic reduction in prices of lifepo4 it's actually a no-brainer to move to the chemistry.

However, for small compact systems, nothing beats lithium ion's energy density if you have the time.

The time taken and stress one have to go through before building it is the only downside for me, but I love the feeling it gives when neatly built.

But the energy density of lithium ion is huge. Almost all my builds were freely made and research purposes.

It can work for lithium ion, but you will need a good BMS.



Aside from that you can reconstruct it to supply 12.6v for lithium ion charging

is it possible to reconstruct the voltage to 12.6v with altering the amps?

Is there still any motivation to build 18650packs when it seems the price is already been rivaled by new LFP, factory made packs?

Tetralogyfallot...how much are your cells going for? To help give context to my question.

To me, I no longer see need building the 18650 packs anymore, simply because the cost of building is almost equivalent to getting a new factory made LFP pack, and also the stress involved in building it.
