this is how you hold them together to get a perfect weld or soldering.

you're welcome, I think it's awesome having a watchdog and same time a pet dog too. What a great combo.

They are very loyal and so so protective.
You can even walk them on the street without leash and they won't worry anyone, but don't cross their territory in the house without proper introduction or try to touch any members of the house both inside and outside when they are watching.

Please what is the ampere capacity of each cell? If I am correct, what I am seeing here is 7S 30P configuration. I am of the opinion that JBD BMS would have been much better that the heltec BMC and active balancer you used. The price might not have much difference.

Between 24v 2.5kwh and a 12v 4kwh setup, which is better?

In charging (from grid) and length of usage (assuming they both power thesame load).

Also in terms of number of panels needed, which needs more?

the 24v will charge faster,while the 12v will power the load longer than the 24v.

Definitely it will not but cost, materials,and availability is guaranteed though will little technique and stress.

Note that a good battery goes beyond aesthetic.

Someone here spot welded over 600 cells at 7s but still cannot power 1hp sumo. Sth is wrong somewhere.

I think the cells he used are extracted from dead laptops battery or probably fake Chinese cells.

From onset I like to source materials locally to build cells from cables to terminals. No vex, it was a major reason I weld cells using soldering iron. Nickel strip is difficult to source locally but lead, soldering iron is just along your street. To source BMS and active balancer.. .....hmmm

soldering is a tedious task and often times very rough, unlike welding.

Most battery chemistries will bloat when over charged, same is attainable with our banks but if care is taken to charge it as it should, you won't have a problem with bloating.

Have you asked why the chargers made for lithium batteries generally are Constant Current and Constant Voltage systems? Once it gets to the desired voltage it stops, no need for absorption. However due to the fact that we still use inverters or chargers (due to cost or financial restraint) meant primarily for lead acid batteries, we tend to slightly overcharge our batteries which in turn results to bloating. If we however stay within the range then bloating would not be a problem, but very slight bloating is expected and totally natural.

I thought that the function of the bms if we use chargers or inverters meant for lead acids batteries.

Dear Diy lifepo4 builders,

I intend going into this soon as resources to build Lithium-ion is very costly now, and majorly most parts I used in building are always ordered from China.

From my own perspective or view, it seems lifepo4 cells bloat like the regular powerbank cells, what are the majors in place to tackle this issue?
