Can you state the difference between 50ah at 24v and 100ah at 12v?

Just last night I deliberately drew 18.7a on the system above-- 6 bulbs, freezer, 2 fans, charging, 32" tv, Decoder--- cable didn't even get warm.

NOTE: 24v is great, 48v is very sweet but don't condemn a working 12v system since our energy need differs and the way we all manage energy differs.

Those is band A will manage energy better than band D users.

Mind you am on 12v off-grid.

Though they look the same trust me 24v is far better and it will save your wire.
e. g if your appliance is 350w and you connect it to your 12v battery it mean you will need to draw 29Amp from the battery but if you connect the same appliance to 24v you will only draw 14Amp.

Sincerely I don't know why people build 12 battery
the 12v battery I build are just for phone charging and bulb lightning only

Although if you started with 12v it will be hard to change inverter, I wish I even started with 48v, it will not give your wire much stress

Building a very good productive battery starts from the CELLS u use in building the battery. Getting good reputable CELLS is a very tough challenge to every battery builder in this part of the world. Am not oblivious of the fact that this thread is not meant for advertorial purposes but then, we all need good reputable CELLS to work to keep this great thread alive.

Two relays are used to switch the live and neutral lines individually. These are energised by a DC power source, which can be derived from either mains or generator... depending on the configuration... and this acts as the master control.

Although a single two-in-one relay could have been used, this setup was chosen as the most suitable based on trade-offs between cost, size, and power handling capacity.

At the heart of the control board is the microcontroller Atmega8.
It measures voltage of each cell, the charger, current flowing into the battery and also the power (servers also as control) button.

Processes it and uses the result to determine certain actions, for example:

stop charging if battery voltage up to max.
stop inverter and usb if battery voltage below min, or if any of the 3series cell below minimal cell
Start top balancing if charging and cell difference beyond minimum level, reduce charge current if necessary.
Maintain charger current to user defied soft / fast
Display the right colour LED based on measured voltages, charging, and/or predefined current.

The beauty of the board is scalability. I could use this same board for say a 2KVA, 2KWH system and all I need change are the surrounding dependencies: Use 2KVA inverter, Use bigger buck converter ( or more in parallel ), use 2KWh battery etc. but the board it self remains the same!

I got the 10a rectifier diode, open up the charger and solder it to the positive wire. It did stop the reverse current flow but when I take the voltage reading from the charger mouth, the voltage dropped from 14.6v to 13.7v. I understand it's due to the internal resistance of the diode but I want to know if that will be a problem for the BMS on the long run
