Today, at Okemesi Grammar School, students from various secondary schools in Okemesi and Ido-ile gathered to engage in a thought-provoking debate on the topic "Is technology a beneficial tool or a distraction in the classroom." The event was a remarkable display of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.

As the host and organizer, He's proud to say that the debate was a culmination of hard work, dedication, and teamwork. The participants demonstrated exceptional knowledge, creativity, and respect for opposing views, making it a challenging task for the judges to select a winner.

Hon Onaade Busola Moses extend his heartfelt gratitude to the judges, educators, guests, and volunteers who contributed to the success of this event. Stating that their support and encouragement have made a significant impact on the lives of these young individuals.

The Okemesi/Ido-ile Inter-Secondary School Debate 2024 has not only provided a platform for students to engage in meaningful discussions but has also inspired them to become active thinkers, leaders, and change-makers. Hon. Onaade Busola Moses Paid a Courtesy Visit to Ekiti West Local Government and Okemesi/Ido-ile LCDA Chairmen: Exploring Opportunities for Youth Empowerment

On 17th January 2024, I had the privilege of paying a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ekiti West Local Government, Hon. Moses Omojola, and the Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-ile LCDA, Hon. Owolabi Ajibade, to congratulate for their swear in and to discuss the pressing needs of the youth in the region. The visit was aimed at exploring opportunities for youth empowerment and identifying potential areas of collaboration to drive growth and development.

During the meeting with the Ekiti West Local Government Chairman, we discussed the importance of providing jobs and support for young people in the community. I emphasized the need for initiatives that would equip youths with skills and resources to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to the society. The Chairman expressed his commitment to youth development and highlighted various programs and projects aimed at empowering young people in the region.

In my meeting with the Okemesi/Ido-ile LCDA Chairman, we focused on the role of local government in creating an enabling environment for youth growth and development. We explored potential partnerships and collaborations that could provide opportunities for youth engagement, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurship. The Chairman shared his vision for youth empowerment and his commitment to supporting initiatives that would make a positive impact on the community.
