Candidates for upcoming JAMB can start Practicing JAMB 2019 CBT

Opposition party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded that the Federal Government sack the Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun.

According to Punch, the demand was made in a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja on Saturday.

The party demanded the sack, arrest and trial of the minister who allegedly forged an exemption certificate for the compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

The party asked that President Muhammadu Buhari prove himself a man of integrity by allowing a system-wide inquest into all alleged corrupt practices in his administration.

The world can now see how the Buhari Presidency has been concealing sharp practices under it. We can now see why there is humongous corruption under President Buhari’s watch and why Mr. President has refused to take any concrete steps to check the sleazes in his administrations.

Perhaps such ‘artful dodgers’ were deliberately hired and placed in revenue related agencies to perfect the pilfering of our common patrimony for interests in the Buhari Presidency.

The PDP challenges President Buhari to prove himself a man of integrity by allowing an open system-wide and independent inquest into all alleged corrupt practices in his presidency.

Five gang leaders who were part of a dozen armed robbers who killed 33 people in a wide-ranging robbery operation in Offa, Kwara State, in April have confessed that they are being sponsored with firearms, money and operational vehicles by the Senate President Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State.

According to the Police, the suspects added during investigations that they are political thugs under the name Youth Liberation Movement a.k.a “Good Boys”.

In a sequel, Senate President Bukola Saraki has been invited by the Nigeria Police force in connection with the bank robbery, which recently occurred, in Offa, Kwara State after he was indicted by five of the suspects who confessed to the crime.

The five gang leaders had claimed that they were political thugs of the Senate President and the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, 26th May, 2018 for mop-up examination for over 12,000 UTME candidates.

The JAMB candidates that are qualified to take the rescheduled Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination are those whose bio-metrics were not captured during the initial period of the UTME in March.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the deployment of the CCTV device during JAMB examinations had come to stay to tackle examination malpractice.

Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, the board’s Registrar, made this known on the side-line of a two-day International Summit on Examination Malpractice which ended on Friday in Lagos.

The summit, organised by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), has the theme: “Examination Malpractice; the Contemporary Realities and Antidotes’’.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) also quotes the registrar as disclosing that the deployment of the CCTV device during JAMB examinations had come to stay.
“It is in line with this kind of development that the board has concluded arrangements to create centres for examination malpractice devices for future examinations,’’ he said.

According to Oloyede, the use of the CCTV for the first time during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), further consolidated its quest to ensure quality, equity and integrity.
“There will be no compromise whatsoever.
“Without the deployment of the CCTV, one will just be making a mockery of the computer-based test (CBT).
“This device has ensured that even if a cheating candidate was not caught during the examination, such candidate will be caught after the examination.
“We will continue to ensure that with education, one can achieve everything and without it, one can achieve nothing.
“It, therefore, goes to tell that each one of us must strive to achieve what is good, giving the significance of life and living,’’ NAN quotes Oloyede as saying.

He added that examination malpractice was a general malaise, the world over. The registrar noted that it was a global phenomenon that must be tackled urgently.
“I have statistics, which shows that what we have in Nigeria on examination malpractice is concerned, is a child’s play when compared to what is happening in other climes.
“Today with the aid of technological devices for cheating such as smart watches and others the phenomenon is becoming alarming.
“But in our own case, as these children are getting wiser, we too are getting ahead of them,’’ he said.

The registrar also called for adequate preparations and courseware development in order to stamp out the menace of examination malpractice.

1) Make sure your registration is correct
As JAMB registration ends today, make sure every single details you filled in the registration form is correct, Even your email address because this is where JAMB will send most of the notification. In case you made a mistake, kindly visit any JAMB registration center to rectify this.

2) Your O'level result
Your O'level result is as important as your JAMB result, You wont be offered admission if you don't credit the compulsory subjects including English and Maths. As for those who put Awaiting result, don't forget to sit for both WAEC and NECO ( if possible GCE) to be on the safer side. This will allow you to combine results in the case where you have issue with one of your O'level. Don't neglect to sit for NECO because WAEC can disappoint even the most intelligent ones.

3) JAMB Mock Test
JAMB is yet to release a date for their 2018 mock exam but it is most likely to hold this February, Make sure you become a part of it, this will help you get acquainted with the real exam
