This is another one of these films which surprised me with how good it was. My expectations for this film were not high because I had got it into my head that this was a self indulgent tale from a French director .

Quite where I had got that idea from I have no idea but i was so wrong. This is one of my favourite films of all time. I love the feel of this film, I never felt comfortable for any of the characters at any time, I never really knew what the next frame would turn out to be and in many ways it was a depressing film. I think there are a lot of people out there who could identify with the character of Leon in this film because if its not yourself it could be somebody who just doesn't seem to fit in anywhere apart from one tiny aspect of life as a whole. The story is told in a dramatic and violent manner but because of the subject matter it is entirely in context. Please give this film a viewing and enjoy this stunningly made film.</sup> [/size]
