First, calm down and check, and recheck before posting because so many typos in this your story.

Secondly, you two lodged. What was the occasion for the lodging?

She is dating but she still gives you her attention, support, care, etc. Bro, if that girl dey into you as you claim, you for no hear of the other man.

Comot mind from dating her then simply return the energy wey she dey give then try to enjoy every moment with her cause you don't know when gon be the last. Or just maybe, to be sure of things with how she feels for you, try and come up with "I just got to know this new girl in my neighbourhood" lie and see how she will react to you having another girl who will soon be ending your feelings towards her.

Poverty and Lighting in the skies.

Lighting freak shit out of me.
Grand ma once told when someone have dispute with another person, my great grand dad was a man who any of the person can meet to send thunder after the other which according to the story, my great grand dad performed his paid job perfectly and since the day the story was told to my hearing and till tomorrow, I have never found lighting in the skies to be funny, kinda of keep having that feeling of "the evil men do lives after them". As in, each time I hear or see lighting, I got that weird feeling that an aggrieved family member of those affected in the past by my great grand pa's deeds is now trying to return the favour to my great grand dad's offsprings.

Most phoné phoné Nigerians just end up sounding stupid. The Indian people you mentioned can polish themselves up but not to the extent of mimicking British English.

If I’ve gotten the lady correctly these people basically want her to prime their kids so that they will be able to assimilate well once they travel abroad for studies.

From that angle I kinda get it but I severely doubt that it’s possible to imbibe an authentic British accent from some sporadic lessons in Nigeria.

This is how we lost the Benin Bronzes and countless other precious artefacts to the likes of these people. By being neither here nor there and blowing with the wind.

In the course of trying to be like English people, we are greatly harming our ways of doing things.
Are you aware that same Britain that colonized or should I say came to steal from Nigeria/Nigerians and as well force down their language on those then and the generation yet unborn (including you and I) are the same Britain that colonize India but listen to an Indian person speaking and you won't bother asking where he or she is from because they don't take English as a superior language to theirs.

sunsweet33:

This reminds me of my classmate. His father used to scold him for speaking Efik, warning him that it would affect his accent while speaking English.
And now he can’t remember how to speak it

But if it’s about good diction in English he sha has it cheesy
Education / Re: Guys, Did I Overcharge This Woman For This? by OgaRico(m): 3:01pm On Jul 31, 2023
That is where the problem is bro.
Why don't we use our mother tongue(s) in our place of work or is it a crime/sin to use it?
Learn all the accent and English on earth, still you are no English and never will.
Even if I japa, by hearing me speak, the people or person should know that I learnt their language because they will still hear my mother tongue through how I'm speaking.
For instance, look at you and I discussing in their language and not in any of ours.

Jewessgratitud3:

Do you use your mother tongue at your place of work? Tomorrow you want to japa and study in the UK, Shey na your mother tongue you go use when you get there? Please I don't like arguing this with anyone.

Sports / Dele Alli Felt 'Betrayed' By Estranged Mum And Millionaire Dad Who Is A Ngerian by OgaRico(m): 9:01pm On Jul 13, 2023
Dele Alli's tell-all interview with Gary Neville featured a section on his birth parents, who he fell out of contact with after a troubled childhood.

By Dan Burnham (Sports Reporter)

Dele Alli has said he felt "betrayed" by his biological parents - who he no longer speaks to.

The former England international sat down for a candid interview with Gary Neville where he opened up on a number of moving topics, including childhood abuse and an addiction to sleeping tablets which he recently entered rehab for.

Dele also touched on his mum, 60-year-old Denise, and dad, 54-year-old Kehinde, who is a multi-millionaire businessman in Nigeria and a prince of the African nation's Yoruba tribe.

The pair split when he was young, leading to a tumultuous childhood which has had a major impact on his life ever since. Dele's mum, who was an alcoholic, gained custody of him.

He revealed he was molested by one of her friends at the age of six, and then became involved in dealing drugs aged eight before he moved to live with his dad in Lagos.

Reflecting on that period of his life, when he is said to have attended a private £20,000-a-year international school, Dele said on The Overlap: “My dad, my blood dad, lived in Africa.

"And then I got sent to him. I was meant to stay there for a year. It was horrible. I didn't want to be there at all. Nothing against, you know where I was, but just going from what I was living in, because we had no money - mum had no money.

“There was always like 10 guys, like just around, like just in the house. Yeah, like it was definitely like the drugs, but yeah, so there was that.

"And then it was just a big culture change, and I didn't want to be there, so I’d be a little bit naughtier and then after six months I got sent back.”

Dele ultimately ended up living with Alan and Sally Hickford, the parents of one of his team-mates in the MK Dons academy. He refers to them as his adoptive family, although that's never legally been the case.

“My adopted family did amazing things, because they would really piece things together," he continued. "There's a lot of things that I would question myself about because it went against my values and who I am as a person or what I want to do.

"And I'd question why I made them decisions, but they could link a lot of things. Like, for example, so I used to have like house parties, and I didn't care who was in the house whilst playing football.

"So, I'd have house parties and that was very much how my [biological] mum's house was without me knowing. It was my comfort zone – it was normal to me. So, just little things like that."

Denise and Kehinde gradually slipped out of Dele's life - so much so that he opted to wear 'Dele' on his back instead of his surname after signing for Tottenham in 2015.

They reunited to hold an interview with the Sunday Mirror after repeated attempts to see him - including standing outside Spurs' training ground and paying for a tour of White Hart Lane in the hopes of crossing paths - were unsuccessful.

Kehinde suggested his son was being manipulated for financial gain, saying: “I just do not understand what we have done wrong. He refuses to speak to me and it feels like he’s been taken from us. But I won’t give up on getting him back.”

Denise, meanwhile, added: “I’m a very miserable person because I get so sad that Dele is missing out on his family and we’re missing out on him.

“I want to be able to hug him and let him know we all love him to bits. I’m not interested in his money, I’d love him the same if he worked in McDonald’s. We just want our son back.”

Explaining why he froze them out of his life, Dele told Neville: “My dad went missing for a while, and he might come out now and say some stuff about me, but when I started playing for England, he came back and then I used to speak to my mum as well. Just to try and help her.

“I don’t speak to my mum anymore. So, when I was 18, my biological mum and dad went to the newspaper and like, started accusing the family that adopted me of doing all this stuff when they didn't know what they had, like they were the ones that used to make me go and see my mum.

Alli's biological parents made a public plea to see him again during his Tottenham days.

"I never wanted to go. They would always tell me, ‘She's your mum, like you should have a relationship with her’. And I think that spoke volumes, like what they were doing. They were just doing it generally because they're amazing people. So yeah.

“And then my mum – my blood mum and dad – went to the press saying that these people are taking advantage of me. They want to go through my contracts. And I hadn't spoken to him for years.

"I knew that wasn't my mum's decision because I know she didn't really leave Milton Keynes. Like there was no way she’d done that.

"So, yeah, after that I just felt so betrayed and let down. And hurt that I just couldn't keep the relationship with my mum. And my dad, I don't want a relationship with him either."

What's your view on Dele's behaviour towards his biological parents?

Travel / 5 Warnings Signs Before Titanic Submarine Went Missing. by OgaRico(m): 4:16pm On Jun 21, 2023
By Rachel Hagan World News Reporter.
21 Jun 2023UPDATED13:55, 21 Jun 2023

As global search and rescue teams sprint to find the submarine-like vessel that went missing in the Atlantic Ocean with five people on board, many are horrified that warning signs were ignored.

The OceanGate Expeditions vessel was set to reach the bottom of the sea to view the Titanic shipwreck on Sunday, but it lost contact around an hour and 45 minutes after it submerged.

Two British-based Pakistanis, a British billionaire, a Frenchman and an American are trapped on the vessel called Titan after they paid close to £200k for the experience.

And if the precious amounts of oxygen on the vessel have been running down at a steady level, it means there may only be around 24 hours of breathable air left.

As the clock ticks, previous concerns about the vessel have been circulating with some horrified the mission went ahead as OceanGate faced several warnings.

SIGNING YOUR LIFE AWAY

It has been revealed that travellers were warned before boarding the submarine that the vessel had not been approved or certified by any regulatory body and the trip could result in death.

Journalist David Pogue joined OceanGate on an expedition to the North Atlantic and kept the forms he had to sign before taking the expedition.

"'It has not been approved or certified by any regulatory body, and could result in physical injury, disability, motion trauma, or death,'” he read aloud to CBS, before jokingly adding, "Where do I sign?"

David said he was horrified to find the inside of the sub was similar to the size of a minivan and he said they use "off-the-shelf components" and lights from Camping World.

Simpsons writer Mike Reiss who also went on the trip has since expressed past safety fears and said it was "remarkable how basic and simple the whole operation" was.

Mike said: "To get on the boat that takes you to the Titanic, you sign a massive waiver that you could die on the trip.

"On the list, they mention death three times on page one and it's never far from your mind. As I was getting on the submarine, [I thought] this could be the end."

Other guests on previous trips said there were continual failures including radio outages and flickering lights.

'EXTREME' DANGER WARNING FIVE YEARS AGO

In 2018, OceanGate fired and sued David Lochridge, their director of marine operations, after they claimed he breached his non-disclosure agreement for saying passengers might be endangered in the craft when it reached "extreme depths."

According to a lawsuit, David's scathing assessment to senior leadership said there were "visible flaws" in the ship’s carbon fibre hull, "prevalent flaws" in a scale model, flammable materials onboard and key safety documents that were not shared with him.

"The paying passengers would not be aware, and would not be informed, of this experimental design, the lack of non-destructive testing of the hull, or that hazardous flammable materials were being used within the submersible," Lochridge's legal filing stated.

The document added that he believed the company could "subject passengers to potential extreme danger in an experimental submersible."

David alleged in the court filing that he had been wrongfully terminated and that his actions were aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers on the Titan.

SUBMARINE LEADERS WARN OF 'CATASTROPHIC ISSUES'

Nearly 40 top leaders from across the industry wrote to the Marine Technology Society in 2018 about the "catastrophic" concerns they had with the vessel.

The horror letter has been unearthed by the New York Times, in which executives, oceanographers and explorers all signed to say they expressed "unanimous concern" with its development.

The letter said that OceanGate’s marketing of the Titan had been "at minimum, misleading" because it claimed that the submersible would meet or exceed the safety standards of a risk assessment, even though the company had no plans to have the craft formally certified by the agency.

OCEANGATE PURPOSEFULLY AVIODED US REGULATIONS.

One signatory of the aforementioned letter, Bart Kemper, said in an interview that OceanGate had sneakily and purposefully avoided having to abide by certain US regulations by deploying the vessel in international waters.

Salvatore Mercogliano, an associate professor of maritime history at Campbell University in North Carolina also said this was true to the New York Times.

The Titan, owned by a US company, gets loaded onto a Canadian ship and then dropped into the North Atlantic.

Salvatore says this means it does not need to register with a country, fly a flag or follow rules that apply to many other vessels.

"It’s kind of like a boat on the back of a trailer. The police will ensure the trailer meets the requirements to be on the road, but they really won’t do a boat inspection," he told the paper.

PREVIOUS TECHNICAL ISSUES.

OceanGate successfully carried out the same trip multiple times in 2021 and while there were no deaths, numerous safety issues were listed in a lawsuit.

David Concannon, a lawyer and explorer who pulled out of this year's trip at the last minute, wrote the lawsuit document which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

"On the first dive to the Titanic, the submersible encountered a battery issue and had to be manually attached to its lifting platform", he wrote.

He also said the submersible sustained modest damage to its exterior and OceanGate had to cancel one of its mission so it could make repairs.

Pep ology I must say.

Seunfretty:
It's united lucky day...city today wasn't really in that mojo and they even lost many chances that they would have buried easily on their day...they looked tired too.for example Debruyne ...Gundogan...Rodri were already tired before 65minutes....a weakness united could have capitalized

At a point in the game i expected united to pin city into their half and look for that goal...i don't know wat philosophy ten hag teaches but united are still mediocre in possession part of the game...they couldn't even play out and kept lobbing the ball to Rashford from the first half a player that's already been marked by Diaz and stones...

And did anyone see the part where pep brought in Ake and Laporte having about 5 center backs in one game..
Pep keeps evolving in football and looking at his line up u would see he has tried to change so many things...he now plays with a back 3 with another ball playing center back in front of them partnering a holding midfielder...this in turns makes his team a little more solid...gone are the days wen Rashford would run and team city ..they have walker tucking in to prevent that ..again gone are the days wen u will feel u can win aerial balls to get possession ...city now has 4 players behind the ball to take care of that..

The most positive thing is...the change in a way doest make them as fluid has they are on default but they still keep the ball and play good football...they hold on to the ball sometimes for u to commit people to press ..wen u commit they release that ball and knock it into the midfield where u must have left a space due to ur high press...

The champions league final will be another game where guadiola will need to show to the people he is actual on another level
