Gift Orobosa Osayande, also known as, Gift Ogo, the administrator of Infoguide.com.ng. He is from Delta State. He counsels students, particularly those in Nigeria to learn skills before leaving tertiary institution. According to him," it is easy to get carried away while in the university because of unstoppable activities going on concurrently at that time . Educational activities will take major part of your time. When you add more extra activities, you will see yourself struggling to find time for yourself. One other problem with Nigeria university students is that they fail to think ahead until when they graduate and start facing the reality of unemployment in Nigeria. I have seen many people with high hope of getting job immediately after graduation but later spend countless number of years at home after graduation without job. It is hard to predict if you will get a job after graduation in Nigeria except you have a family business with a space available for you to occupy whenever you are done with your university studies. In other not to fall into this category, it is important to use the little time you have while in university to go out there and learn a skill in any area you have passion. Be sure to learn a skill that can sustain you for a long time while you are still looking for a job within your area of speciality. Apart from the fear of being unemployed after graduation, if you happen to get a job your skill will also bring in supplementary income in addition to your salary. There are many people that have exploited the skill they learned in the past and used it to create a big business and employ other people to work for them. A good example is Jim Ovia who founded Zenith Bank. Let us advise our Nigerian children in school to learn skills because it will really help them in future and it will help to eradicate crime in Nigeria. Last week, I was robbed at the garrage market in Boji-Boji metropolis by some thugs, which prompted me to write this article. I call on all Nigerian business men and politicians to help their fellow Nigerians, help the youths by empowering them. I believe this will eradicate crime in Nigeria because when someone is contented with his/her resources he will not go out to steal from others. I recommend some of these skills to Nigerian students: Basic Computer knowledge/Office package, Web Design,Programming,Graphics Design,3D Graphics,Dress Making,Shoe making,Hair plaiting,Hair Dressing,Mobile Device Repair,Modelling,Content Writing / Curator and Business Management. These skills will help to a large extent produce self employed graduates in Nigeria

Things to work on before graduation 1. Spoken english It is so sad that majority of Nigerian students in tertiary institutions don’t bother about polishing their spoken and written english. Some graduates speak english worse than a toddler, making one wonder what they spent 16yrs doing in school. You hear them spew gabbage like “he come and slap me and I come and beat him”. If you speak such english to an interviewer, even with first class clearly written on your CV, he will probably think you runzed your way through school. The use of words like yeah, goddamn, omo, sh*t, f**k etc should be stopped cos they don’t portray you as a decent person. 2. Mode of dressing Looking fly on campus was one of the things I enjoyed during my undergraduate days. It was fun cos you had so much of the opposite sex around to admire you. The moment I graduated, my orientation changed. Not that a graduate should stop wearing denims and sneakers, but sagging and putting on studs with crazy hairstyle should come to a stop if such a person wants to fit into the corporate world. In the corporate world, you get to mingle with matured or married men with enough decency. Sagging in their midst will make you look............................click the link to continue reading http://infoguide.com.ng/things-to-work-on-before-graduation/ |
This is an opportunity for you to start your own business and be your own boss, today our Dear Sis Clara will be teaching us how to produce a multipurpose liquid soup, which can be use for both bathing and washing. Multi-purpose/bathing liquid soap as the name implies, is soap in liquid form. It is a cleansing agent and it is a multi-purpose cleanser. Liquid soap is also known as liquid detergent. It has the ability to emulsify oils and hold dirt in suspension. Liquid soap share same properties with solid detergents. A detergent is expected to consist of the surface-active agents or ingredients which are the essential ingredients and subsidiary ingredients (supplementing ingredients). In all detergents, the surface-active agent forms the most important part of the detergent. All the ingredients needed in the production of liquid soap (liquid detergents) will be listed below. NOTE: In this lesson we hope to learn a multi-purpose/bathing liquid soap. That is, one that can be used for basic cleaning such as washing of plates, cars, laundry, bathing, etc. See the link http://infoguide.com.ng/how-to-produce-a-multipurpose-liquid-soap-by-iyeke-clara/ |
Every Nigerian with an access to the internet now feels obliged to jump into every discussion on social media. They wake up, search twitter and jump on any trendy topic with an I TOO KNOW mentality. Before you do such, ask yourself these questions 1. Hope it’s not a propaganda hashtag on a smear campaign 2. Must I tweet on it? 3. Hope my tweet won’t be judgemental 4. Have I heard the other side of the story? 5. Do I have all facts concerning the issue? 6. Hope my tweet won’t give those involved a bad reputation in public 7. Am I an expert on such issues? 8. What if I later realise the trendy hashtag was all a smear campaign, will I retract my tweet or apologise? 9. Is there a likelihood that my tweet might put me in trouble? 10. Hope my contribution won’t be based on sentiments and emotion. you may like to read 6 Types Of Neighbours In Nigeria You never can tell, a person who an hashtag is created against might actually be innocent of the said accusations. An example is the #OshifalaSaga where many twitter users lambasted and judged Mr Oshifala guilty even to the extent of making up cases of ghost students who also were victims of his alleged pedophilia act. To our greatest surprise, the students of the school and their heads of departments all thronged the streets with placards all calling for their favourite teacher’s vindication. They say they don’t think such happened nor even know who the victim is. Hashtags such as #DasukiGate, #TyrantBuhari, #BukolaGate etc might just be on a campaign of calumny. We never can tell until a competent court of law pronounces a judgement on the figures involved. source: http://infoguide.com.ng/10-questions-to-ask-yourself-before-tweeting-to-a-hashtag/ visit us@ infoguide.com.ng for useful topics like this |
Take a minute to compare the church of the past to what we have in today’s world. What level of change do you notice? I am certain that you are bound to come across some changes that shows how far the church has veered from morality to the point of it looking as if it doesn’t belong to God anymore. Below are a few of the ones I noticed. 1. Random sitting arrangement In the 80’s and early 90’s, churches had a very modest sitting arrangement that distinguished males from females. The males sat in the rows of seats on the right while the females sat on those on the left. This pattern was also seen in the children’s section of the church. But the same can’t be said of today’s churches. Everyone sits randomly. As a man, you can have a young lady sit beside you in church during service. That’s enough distraction especially in this crazy modern world of ours where ladies wear all sorts of skimpy and revealing attires which are now condoned by churches who choose to look the other way cos they don’t want to lose a potential tithe payer. A lady’s exposed thighs might get a guy’s mind off the sermon being preached. If he decides to go ease himself or something, he will have to squeeze through the seats while brushing his legs against the thighs of ladies, both married and unmarried. What about during dancing time? A lady seated directly in front of a guy while wiggling her waist in dance motion can cause to sin. 2. Females not covering hair in church Nigerian churches that use to be closer to the truth in discipline have now been Americanised. Ladies are now allowed to go against the words of the Bible by not covering their hair while praying or prophesying in church. 1 Corinthians 11:13 says: “judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?”. You can read 1 Corinthians 11:3-15 for full details on women and hair covering while praying or prophesying in church. Christians boys now go to church with dreadlocks, mohican haircuts and all sorts of crazy hairstyles you can think of. No one cautions them, so they think it’s cool. Both males and females in this kind of habit have been fooled to believe that it is the content of their heart that God is after. Yes, indeed! But what content can be found in the heart of a person who wears his hair like a Rastafarian? What can be found in the heart of a lady who finds it difficult to tie a headscarf for just few hours of worship? It’s simple- pride and show off. Psalm 66:18 says “if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. 3. Disco lights.................click the link to continue reading http://infoguide.com.ng/4-new-practices-in-todays-churches-that-should-be-stopped/ |
If Nigerians want to have a peaceful society, below are a few of the things they have to stop doing. 1. Tagging anyone that criticises them a hater. This is common with celebrities. Once you criticize them with sincere intentions, instead of stomaching the bitter truth, they lash at you by calling you a hater and a jealous person. Their fans make matters worse by calling you a jobless lowlife and a poor fool. They make it seem like once you are rich you are immune to criticism. 2. Fighting neighbors for cautioning their children. We all can attest to how decayed our society has become today. Girls now see no offence in dressing indecently and flaunting their boobs on social media like prostitutes. The young boys are now cult gang lords and fraudsters. This is all because the community no longer have a say in child upbringing like it use to in the past. 80% of the people who complain about the decay in the society are the same people who will get angry and throw fist when they hear that their neighbor smacked their child for doing something wrong while they were away. Yet, they want a sane society.........click the below link to continue reading http://infoguide.com.ng/5-bad-attitudes-nigerians-need-to-stop/ |

Now that same sex marriage has been fully legalised in the US, the proponents of this agenda will most definitely push it to other countries till it becomes a worldwide phenomenon. Homosexualism is currently against the law in Nigeria with its people happy about the move. But certain factors are very much in place to help change the orientation of the people in the country towards an acceptance of the idea of gayism. These are the factors that the government of Nigeria must scrutinize carefully to uphold its anti-gay law. in below link you will see a list of few of them. http://infoguide.com.ng/things-to-check-to-uphold-nigerias-anti-gay-law/ |
Social media has taken a lot of people’s attention away from the things of God. People now glue their faces to screens doing irrelevant things while their spiritual self dies gradually.
