I did some research and was amazed with what I discovered.

I have heard from friends, family and men of God that Hellfire is an Eternal Place of Torment for the Wicked (Evil People) and the Home of the Devil and his agents. I am not alone in this, most of us here also share this belief.

However, I came across 3 scriptures that contradicts this belief and teaching:

1. Matthew 25:31-33, 46 (Read).
My Discovery - On his Judgement Throne, Jesus will separate the Sheep from the Goat. The Sheep will be rewarded with Eternal Life while the Goat will have Everlasting Punishment.
Is this Everlasting Punishment equal to Hellfire? What does Everlasting Punishment mean? The next discovery provided clues to the answer.

2. Jeremiah 7:31 says: Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart (King James Version)
My Discovery - God was angry with the Nation of Israel burning their children in the fire. He said he never commanded anyone to do so and it has never come to his heart to do so.
Really? If God has never thought of burning people (the goatlike ones) with Fire as everlasting punishment, then how is Hellfire associated with God? Will God deceive us? Never! How else could this scripture be understood? This scripture provided the key to my 3rd discovery and a better understanding to this subject.

3. Revelation 20:12-15 (Read).
My Discovery - If Death and Hell and all those whose names are not written in the book of life are cast into the Lake of Fire, then the Lake of Fire must be symbolic. Verse 14 says, the Lake of Fire MEANS the Second Death.

Death is the direct opposite of Life. I would then say that, the Sheep will enjoy everlasting life while the Goat will be destroyed forever - Psalms 37:9-10, 34.

The floor is now open for sound scriptural deliberation. Quote or refer to the scriptures, please.

With this performance, I doubt.

Most planes fly at altitudes like 35,000 feet. If you tried to exit a plane at that altitude you would die almost immediately. The air pressure at that height is so low that if you held your breath, your lungs would explode almost immediately. Even if you were to breath out REALLY quickly, there isn’t enough oxygen at that altitude to keep you conscious for very long at all. So you would lose consciousness. Then you have that small problem of pulling the chord to deploy your parachute - not possible to do if you are unconscious… If you deploy it as soon as you exit the plane the lack of oxygen would cause your death on the slow descent.

You are also looking at temperatures 30 degrees below zero at those altitudes - the eyes, nose and mouth would freeze over almost immediately.

You would also be exiting a plane flying at around 150 miles an hour or more - assuming you could get out of that plane, that air pressure on you would kill you immediately, too. Most planes fly at more like 500 mph.

Now, just think of the logistics of carrying them when a parachute can weigh up to 40 pounds - one of those per passenger - that increases the weight of the plane, increasing the fuel used and therefore the cost of tickets, for a benefit that would probably kill most passengers trying to escape the plane.

The other thing is - most airplane accidents happen during takeoff and landing at heights that would render a parachute useless - most main parachutes require 600 to 1,200 feet of freefall to open and slow the person down.

So the added cost of doing so, lack of training of the passengers in how to exit an aircraft and land safely, plus all the issues of getting out at high altitudes make parachutes not worth the cost.

A Lawyer was travelling by train from Liverpool to Manchester.

When the train started, he realized he was traveling alone in the business class.

A few minutes later, a beautiful lady came and sat in the opposite seat!

The lady wrote everything that she had said earlier and gave it back to him!

The Lawyer took her note, kept it nicely in his pocket ... got up and told her in clear tones ...

" Now SHOUT & SCREAM!!! "

Moral of the story:

DOCUMENTATION IS VERY IMPORTANT

If you don't know how to get your dealings documented, you better learn this in 2021. Once your transaction is documented the Law of evidence vindicates you.

Making decision is not difficult, what is rather difficult is making the right decision. A football Manager is hired for this purpose - making the right tactical decision.

MANUtd were on fire until Ole shot himself on the foot. Fred became the sacrificial lamb and MANUtd were down to 10 men - a situation that is clearly avoidable.

Most Parents were ultimately not shortchanged as far as Nigeria is concerned because
1. They were already writing examinations. Most were halfway gone while a few successfully completed the examinations for the term.
2. Many parents were still owing for the second term fees prior to school opening in September.



Many Parents have had about five months of not paying regular school fees, so they shouldn't hesitate to have their children in school and pay up their fees early (with special consideration granted to private school staff). Plus being in school isn't all about the duration but the learning that takes place within that time. I personally feel we are overloading our kids with too much information at school. School helps us as parents double our hustle to meet up with our kids demands.
And yes, any parent whose ward resumed school has registered for learning for the new term and would be in debt except the parent reaches an agreement with the school management.

Most parents that were still owing in March didn't pay the balance again when school resumed last month.

Moreover, this break will only be for two weeks and some smart schools have resumed the online process. One thing is for sure, there will be no Mid Term Break which used to be a week in some schools. So what's only lost is one week.

In addition, education is not buying and selling of product. It involves impacting knowledge, nurturing and enlightening. That's what is paid for. Some smart schools have already discarded extra curricular activities and some special subjects like Diction, French and Music which parents pay extra money for anyway. The only area I see parents being short changed is on transportation and feeding. If this stays the same, parents ought to negotiate a reasonable deal.

Finally, any right thinking parent ought not to argue about the scenario we are in right now because it's not as if it's the private schools' doing.

Most schools in Nigeria were reopened after the approval came from the Government though with stringent adherence to Covid-19 protocols.

Children were tired staying at home. Parents on the other hand, wanted their wards to resume, however, due to the economic downturn caused by the pandemic, some were unable to resume.

Recall that shortly before the end of 2nd term this year around March, schools were shutdown as a result of Covid-19 and parents that paid school fees for their wards were more or less shortchanged as there were still some weeks to go before the end of the term. They let this go, understandably.

Now, before our very eyes, this scenario is about to play out again. Close to the end of September, schools were reopened; As usual, parents paid their children school fees for 1st term and barely into the term as at last week, schools were instructed to shutdown till further notice. If this continue to the end of October, then roughly six weeks would be left for this term because schools must close again in December (holiday).

There come the questions, what will happen to the fees paid already? The students that resumed but after some weeks were driven home due to non-payment, if they do not return to school again this year, would they be seen as owing the school? Could parents have waited till January 2021?

What are your thoughts? Is this the case of once bitten, twice shy?

Since the Government pays only public school teachers, what will happen to private school teachers' salary during this month of October?

For reasons not apparent enough, different opinions flooded social media yesterday as to the reopening schools in Lagos State after the announcement.

While people clearly understood that public schools will remain shut, the real issue is with private schools if they also will remain shut as well.
