LadyGuinivere: I just tire. But all the people tht won't follow rules or read the thread deserve it.
To the op, the US embassy says ' upload a pssport or we send you back' That is their policy. Why do u think your case should be an exception? Solution: do NOT cancel the appointment. Fill a New form, write to them to swap it.
@oguguo, there's a chance anybody can be denied visa, though not on surname difference reason. Not every applicant has the same surname with their spouses and offsprings Thanks so much for your response. God bless |

DeeTus: What she has to do in this situation is to apply alone first to demonstrate home ties and after she gets through, she then applies for her kid. Applying for visa for her kid at the same time may likely spell doom to her application, especially if the VO asks for her husband's whereabouts. I came to know about this page when I was applying for a university in USA for MSC in chemical engineering but unfortunately itbdidnt pull through. I would appreciate if u could me audience to speak to u privately |

Thanks so much she has no international passport and all the experienced travellers and agent says I should do her passport with my maiden surname. I really don't like the idea but my passport is virgin |

femi321: It will be well my sister. Just take all the neccesarry documents that can prove your point. like what documents. I made the birth certificate as he being the father and my name to his surname as his wife so am confused |

femi321: lol..I dont think it fair to conclude like this. It is possible she is her daughter and they dont bear the same surname. What if she wasn't legally married to her father? What if they divorced and she did change of name? There are many scenerios this can happen. You should have just given her element of doubt well its an unfortunate circumstance , we are married by traditional ceremony and he left for Europe and has totally abandoned us even during child birth and till now no financial support from him.we have no idea where he is. |

femi321: 1) Anything is possible 2) You will have to do alot of convincing at the embassy that she is really your daughter, just hold all the necccesary documents that can buttress your claim. Thanks for ur reply. Can I chat with u privately |
