Good day, Beautiful people, I have an issue, am sorry I used an agent but she doesn't want to release my i20 until I make payment for agency fee then school resumes on the 8th of August and I asked for a scanned copy which she refused. This has causing lots of issues in my family they claim she might be lying . My question is can one resume school after the said date and what to do to remedy the situation. I found out about this site when I had already started the admission process. |

imperiouxx: I don't think the courses are so related. Are you saying some OSH courses fulfilled some parts of the required prereqs for nursing? Why are you going for another BS in form of post-bac? Thanx for ur reply. The post baccalaureate is compulsory for master in osh for international students . there courses like psychology, biology, organic and inorganic chemistry incorporated in the post baccalaureate subject which can be seen in the prerequisites for nursing. I was thinking maybe to do a change of course to nursing bachelor obtain the prerequisites in the first year and transfer to a school that offers direct entry masters in nursing. I really don't know how feasible it is for an international student. Thanx again |

Please what university is it because I got admission at Murray state university for occupational health safety and with prerequisite for the course. I already have some certification in HSE . I want to get into nursing Ohio is good. Be warned, the snow in Ohio can be brutal in the winter time. There is a size-able Naija community in Cleveland,Akron and Columbus If you are Christian, there are some good Pentecostal churches in those areas too As a citizen, she can get school loans easily even without a credit history Obtaining an SS card is easy You can come on a fiancé visa and once you marry and the papers are filed, you get a work permit and a temporary green card a few months later. She can study for an associate degree in nursing instead of the BSN ( bachelors in nursing)but if she already has a degree from Naija she should explore other options. There are some universities with nursing schools that allow people with a science degree to do a master's degree in nursing after some pre requisites ( which can be obtained at a community college). After those requisites and you manage to secure an admission, you get an MSN ( masters in nursing) and then can take the nursing boards.
I know a young girl who studied Psychology and is on a path to do that She finished the prerequisite courses in a community college ( took a year) and this fall started her masters in nursing which will take 18 months and she will become a nurse with masters degree.
Check out the universities and community colleges in the town in Ohio that you plan to move to When she arrives, she can call and make an appointment to see the admission officers to ask for their admission requirements Ask for any alternate paths or concessions for someone with a foreign degree Sometimes the information may not be given if you don't ask for specifics. thanks for your answer. Good day I got admission to study occupational health safety in Murray state university for a post baccalaureate course. I couldn't help notice someone condemn the school and also being denied visa because of the prerequisite. I really don't know how good the course of study is in the USA and already had some certifications in the above course. I keep pondering too whether nursing is better but that has its own prerequisite for accelerated ban having studied chemical engineering. Thanx |

Travel › Re: Common Misconception Of America By Nigerians by oguguo11: 11:20am On Mar 14, 2017 |
Wallie: Hi wallie.love to connect with u on omaluv04@yahoo.com. thanks I disagree with most of what you wrote not because they do not contain an element of truth but due to your over-generalization. You keep saying "America" like every single state or even counties within a state are the same. How many States have you lived in?
My point is that things are generally hard as could be seen by the unemployment numbers but the same is true for almost every other country in the world. Prove me wrong with stats if you feel otherwise. I’ll even give you the leeway of choosing any country on earth.
The only thing great about Canada is the ability to easily get your papers if you go to school. Canada is actively trying to grow their tax base. If Canada is so great, why are there only 35 million people there - a country bigger than the US? The US has 315 million people and US citizens do not need a visa to travel there. Canada is just a big and empty country with nothing going on but cold weather.
To people trying to immigrate to the US, do your homework! If you have no professional skill to offer, you will probably find it very difficult to live the lifestyle you see on TV. It is a capitalist country and only the fit will grow into a fat cat.
It is true that manufacturing jobs (mostly of the unskilled types) are off-shored to Asia and as such, makes getting jobs in that industry particularly challenging.
If you’re also relying on your Nigerian degree to work here, forget it because you will be competing with people that schooled from known schools. If I’m looking to hire someone with a degree, why would I hire someone from an unknown faraway place with a questionable degree? Most Americans are ignorant about Nigeria except for the negative things they hear on TV. The only people that can truly evaluate the worth of your degree are those in charge of college admission.
The types of people most likely to succeed in America are those that continued their education over here or have a special skill to offer. If you want to live above minimum wage, try furthering your Nigerian education over here. I personally know of friends that make well over $120k and they got their undergraduate degrees from Nigerian universities (Unilag, Ife) but they continued their education over here. One is a CPA and the other a network engineer. The funny thing is that the network engineer does not even need his engineering degrees (BSEE, MSEE) to get a job but his certifications (CCNP, CCNA, MCSA, CCDP etc). In other words, you can get a job that pays well over $100k if you can get the necessary cisco certifications but you will be tested to demonstrate your skill on actual hardware during most interviews.
And one last thing; people always complain about going to school and not being able to get a job afterwards but they never tell you have well they did in school. You cannot just go to school just for the sake of getting a certificate. If you do poorly in school (low GPA), you will find it hard if not impossible to get a job. |

To the op, the US embassy says ' upload a pssport or we send you back' That is their policy. Why do u think your case should be an exception? Solution: do NOT cancel the appointment. Fill a New form, write to them to swap it.
@oguguo, there's a chance anybody can be denied visa, though not on surname difference reason. Not every applicant has the same surname with their spouses and offsprings . thanks for your response and God bless u |
