How can one man be imposing his own candidate against the will of the people and they are watching him like mannequins.

If you call them slaves now, they will start crying tribalism.


This kind of autocracy can never happen in south south or south east.
I'm imagining the day, one crazy politician will come to delta state and say, "this is the man that will be your governor whether anybody likes it or not" and deltans will just be watching him like that, talking all those nonsense. That day, the politician and im candidate go pack comot for delta, na body go tell am.

This is modern day slavery! Yorubas should liberate themselves for crying out loud.

He is not imposing a candidate, the party officials and all members of the party voted for him after the party adopted him as consensus candidate and Oshiomole and Osinbajo decided they want to try and impose another candidate
this is different from Rochas that is imposing his son-in-law, oh that is South East righ?

If they don't let the popular candidate which is Akinlade, then APC might loose Ogun

Votes don't count when the electorates allow it, I agree with you that we are already normalizing the imperfections but we have a chance in 2019 to make our votes count

Some political theorists are saying there is more to meet the eyes in the controversies that Osinbajo and Oshiomole have introduced into the APC primaries across the country that they might just have been secretly working to ensure Buhari and APC do not win states that were hitherto considered safe for APC until now.
Take Lagos, whilst so many people have no sympathies for Ambode at all, Ambode was removed not just by the grassroot of APC as widely claimed but also by the duo of Oshiomole and Osinbajo who did the hatchet man job for Tinubu as. The population of Lagosians from the East is huge and it is doubtful if APC will win votes from Igbos in Lagos. This combined with APC voters who might be sympathetic to Ambode makes one wonder if APC is not in for a shocker in Lagos.
Ogun State might also go to another party with the mess that the duo are creating with the governorship primaries in their squabble with Amosun, how this will play out is still to be seen. Same controversies have been generated in Ekiti, Ondo, Kaduna, Oyo and so many other state...

Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade (TripleA) Ogun State Governorship Aspirant 2019, was born on the 9th of October 1969 to the Akinlade family of Ipadilpopo Compound in Agosasa, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State. As a young boy, Adekunle spent his early formative years travelling across the country with his father, which informed his non-tribal personality in years later.

He attended Children House School and St. Anne’s Primary School both in Ibara Abeokuta before proceeding to Army Children Primary School Akure where he completed his primary education. Adekunle moved to Ilaro in 1982 to live with Chief John Olaifa, his paternal uncle, a devoted Muslim and disciplinarian.

While in Ilaro, he was enrolled into Emmanuel Comprehensive High School Ilaro and later Yewa High School Ajilete from where he obtained his WAEC in 1988. He had a short stint at College of Preliminary Studies, Yola for his A’Level. Adekunle was admitted to Lagos State University (LASU) as a direct entry student in 1991 to study Political Science.

As an ardent believer in equity and justice, he contested the Students’ Union President seat of LASU at the height of political activism of the early 1990s. Although he did not win, Adekunle continued to play very active role in the University’s political space. Upon graduation in 1995, he proceeded to observe the mandatory one-year NYSC scheme.

It was while serving at NNPC Staff School Warri, Delta State that Adekunle first cut his teeth in business with a $120 (One Hundred and Twenty USD) assignment to secure flight reservations and this became the seed over the next four years before relocating to the UK in the year 2000.

While in the UK, he enrolled for a short course on Commodity Trading and consequently established Clevland Investment Management Limited, which traded in commodities and other derivatives. After spending almost seven years in the UK, Adekunle returned to Nigerian in 2007.
In collaboration with other software developers, Clevland launched the VCHEKMOBILETM platform, a revenue automation data processing system that enable State Governments to track, collate and collect Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) efficiently. The Company currently provides services across the country.

Adekunle sits on the board of several companies in Nigeria and patrons various associations in Yewa land. He was the MD/CEO of Clevland Investment Management Limited until his appointment as SSA Taxation & Revenue in July 2011. In this capacity, Adekunle oversaw the Directorate of other Taxes at the Board of Internal Revenue Services (IRS) Ogun State.

Adekunle was redeployed in January 2014 to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development where he displayed exceptional skills before resigning in October of the same year to contest the House of Representatives seat. He was the National Coordinator of Yewa/Awori Concerned Professional (YACP) – an Ogun West pressure group. He served in the transition committee on Finance of Sen. Ibikunle Amosun in 2011.

Adekunle holds a degree in Political Science from Lagos State University. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS) and John Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. He attended the 2013 Entrepreneurship short study course at the University of Wisconsin USA.

Adekunle is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the National Open University of Nigeria. Adekunle is the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Climate Change, Member of the following Standing Committees: Finance, Insurance, Public Procurement, Army, Steel and FCT. Chairman Ad hoc Committee on Insurance. He is a strong believer and advocate of the Yewa Cause, a caring father and dedicated husband.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has insisted that his preferred governorship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, will succeed him in 2019. Amosun declared that the gubernatorial primary election recently conducted by the party in the state, which produced Akinlade as candidate, would eventually stand.

He spoke in Abeokuta while supervising the party primaries for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly aspirants for 2019 general election. However, there was tension and uncertainty across the state following yesterday’s exercise, with reports of sporadic shootings and violence by armed thugs in some of the 236 wards of the state.

Crisis had erupted in the party following declaration of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the 2019 governorship standard bearer by the electoral committee of the National Working Committee (NWC). Speaking on a live programme monitored on a private television station, Amosun said as far as he and other party members in the state were concerned, Akinlade would emerge as his successor. The governor, who is one of the aspirants for Ogun Central Senatorial District, maintained that Abiodun’s candidature would not stand. He promised to stand for fairness, justice and equity in ensuring that the mandate freely given to Akinlade by the party faithful was not stolen, insisting that APC members in the state were not fools and would not be taken for granted by the shenanigans of any group of people. He said: “We are waiting for them to come and tell the world that there was no election.

They cannot come out because they know they have failed. That is why we are beaming the Senatorial and House of Assembly primaries live on three different television stations. “They have told Mr. President all manner of stories, that Amosun has done this or that. Amosun will stand for justice, fairness and the truth. “That is why in Ogun State come May 29, 2019, to the glory of God and the benevolence of Almighty God, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade will be the governor of the state. I have told them, if anybody wants to engage in political fight, they should wait for second term. Nobody should push us. We are not fools.”
