Career / How To Be A Scholar And Famous Lecturer by ogunsinamayowa(m): 5:07am On Dec 06, 2016
I have nurtured an ambition to publish research paper in a journal and present paper at conferences on Policy and development in Nigeria before i graduate. And later become a scholar, that will be famous at the world stage, in my profession. I'm aware of the myriad tasks to undergo, and discipline to sacrifice a lot of pleasure for my dream.

But, my problem is the lack of direction despite the presence of mission. There is mission, but I'm ignorant of the perfect way to achieve it. I need advise and mentor. I will start 200 level next year, and my course is Political Science.

Scholars in the house, please help me. I will like to pursue Public Policy or Political Economy to PhD level, and my area of specialization will base on International economic policy, Electoral System law/ policy, and Social Welfare program policy in third world countries etc. Thank you.

how to get educated in Nigeria at a glance now.

1- You get your 5 O'Level WAEC Credits after taking the Exam at a Special center.

2- You get more than 200 at the JAMB Exam after taking the Exam at a Special center too.

3- If you beat the cut-off mark you get into the University on the merit list, or you pay for Admissions.

4- Does not matter how intelligent you are, you have to "BLOCK" the Lecturers to graduate from School.

5- Students do not read anymore as they spend more time on Social Media, and or the girls are busy doing runs and the guys are into Confra.

And the results?

=UNEDUCATED GRADUATES.

And i am talking about those that attended the University.

This girl attended Kogi State Polytechnic, so her case is even worse.

So don't blame this girl.

Blame the Rot in our Educational System.

Your allegations are not true. Standard is being maintained in most of federal university in Nigeria, especially University of Ibadan. Its either you read your brain out, you graduate with lowest grade or you are removed from the system.

I have received a couple of CVs which I have forwarded to the professor that requested for potential applicants for research sponsorship. You can still forward your CV if interested.
I am a current beneficiary of this funding so I want to help another hard working person to get the offer.
I will be busy in the lab for the next couple of hours but I will try to give updates when I am free.

What's the name of your professor/ supervisor? and the name of the university?

pls i have two questions bothering my mind
1 does UI recognise commerce as a subject at all?
2 i want to use two o level result, but there was a mistake on one of the result ,it bears mojeeb instead of mojeed, as my name, should i go ahead with the admission processing and upload the result alongside an affidavit,or i should try and inform waec, even though informing waec may take time .

1. yes. ui does recognises commerce.

2. Continue and have a valid affidavit for it before the commencement of post admission screening.

Here is how to calculate your UI's call-up point JAMB-POST-UTME aggregate.

This is how the University of Ibadan(UI) calculate their call-up point from O’levelO-LEVEL
A1 – 12points
B2 – 10points
B3 – 8points
C4 – 6points
C5 – 4points
C6 – 2point
Which is obtained from Your 5 relevant/compulsory subjects as related to your course.

2.This is how the University of Ibadan calculate their Call up point From JAMB:

Simply divide your UTME score by a factor of 10. Which implies 400/10 = 403.To obtain the call up points, now add obtained O-level points above,to the JAMB points.

4.The result becomes you University of Ibadan POST-UTME call-up point.

That was a perfect combination. The good thing about faculty of Social Science, I'm in social science, is the compatibility of their Jamb combination. You can use it to enter any department in Social Science.

Yup. I got hit trying to update modern combat. Luckily,it only got my mcard- All apps get installed on my sdCard. 29gb worth of data gone. I'm trying to fix it now sha. Downloaded Malwarebyte on my system.still scanning- 45,703 files so far sad

I'm currently worried due to lost of irrecoverable files. I did backup before doing factory resetting, but it failed to restore some important files: my studying PDF files and more than 500 songs included. I'm imagining how happy the developers of the software will feel, because they are making more than 3hundred thousand dollars daily at expense of millions of people's sadness.

scan with antivirus many times, did factory reset, it will delete but if I on my connection it will come back, I was frustrated someone told me to flash the phone but I didn't give in, so I download one antivirus forgot the name, it has blue symbol, I scan for malware and delete it once.

That was nice.
