In the first picture below, the space I guess is for a free standing cooker, well understood,

But in the second picture is the cooker a table top cooker? and was it installed in a drawer under the kitchen worktop?

Also for a free standing cooker, can it be placed in an open cabinet and a worktop run above it in such a way that only the top of the cooker will be visible on the worktop?
