The Banana Leaves movie is playing at the Silverbird Cinema (Galleria - Victoria Island) all through this week up till Thursday May 6th. Show times are 5:30pm and 7:30pm everyday. Banana leaves played at the Pan African film festival in Los Angeles as well as the Black harvest film festival in Chicago. It was nominated for "Best film" by the African American Arts alliance. Banana leaves is about 3 young adults with a taste for drugs. When a friend of theirs dies as a result of a drug overdose, they decide to quit using dangerous drugs, and instead use safe ones!
