Misfiring and excessive fuel consumption in vehicles can be caused by several reasons.


For a 2015 model, I'd suggest you stop trial and error with mechanics and rewire.
It does more harm than good.


First take the vehicle for a comprehensive scan (5k-15k) to pin point the issue and tackle just that.
What ever the problem is will generate a code which you simply need to interpret and tackle.


Most times, the operators of the scanners will interpret the error codes for you.


What you are currently experiencing with your vehicle could be one or more of these:


1, fuel pump
2, clogged fuel pump filter
3, bad spark plugs
4, catalyst
5, bad/clogged nozzles
6, dirty or bad air filter
7, bad MAF sensor
8, bad o2 sensors
9, valve timing solenoid etc...


With all the above possibilities in modern vehicles, you don't want to go trial and error fixing.
Does more damage to the car and would cost you far more eventually to get it fixed.


Firstly go underneath you vehicle and confirm that you catalyst is intact... If you do not know how to check, then have a panel beater check and confirm for you.

If stolen, then you know who to arrest.

If your catalyst is in order and not stolen, then take your vehicle for a complete scan to pin-point the problem.


NOTE: Use a COMPREHENSIVE vehicle scanner and not the "POS looking type" of vehicle scanner.
