Our Client, a law firm specialized in a subsector of the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry, seek to engage a competent Accountant on a full time basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures all financial transactions are done in accordance with the firm’s policies and standard accounting practices
Ensure production and review of monthly management accounts and associated reconciliations within the specified monthly deadlines.
Ensure accurate maintenance of the company’s general ledgers
Liaising with external auditors and submitting request documents during audit.
Maintaining fixed assets register and reconcile to general ledger control account
Facilitating debt collection for the company main debtors
Coordinating bank reconciliation
Monthly payroll management, pension, and tax compliance
Preparing and submit statutory returns.
Engages in any other accounting related assignment assigned by management as the need arises or any other duties related to the position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bsc or Hnd in Accounting discipline or related field.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Membership of a relevant professional organisation ICAN, ACCA (or at least the completion of second level of a recognized professional accounting program)
Must have 2-4 years’ cognate working experience.
Work experience with a law firm (added advantage)
Must have good knowledge of any accounting package.
Experience with preparing monthly financial accounts, and bank reconciliations.
Must have good communication skill both oral and good report writing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures all financial transactions are done in accordance with the School’s laid down procedures and standard accounting practices
Raises student invoices and track payments of school fees and other receivables
Prepare monthly management accounts.
Preparation of annual statutory accounts, including liaison with the school’s auditors.
Preparation of school budget and longer-term financial plans.
Monthly payroll management, pension, and tax compliance
Engages in any other financial assignment assigned by School’s management as the need arises or any other duty related to the nature of the post.

REQUIREMENTS
Bsc or Hnd in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or any related courses.
Membership of a relevant professional organisation or at least the completion of second level of a recognised professional accounting program i.e. ICAN, ACCA

Experience with budget preparation, payroll, and management accounts
