Hope is governor of Imo state so he can use his executive power to influence election result. OUK in the other hand is appreciated in Bende and Abia North in general because he have delivered in 4 years as a senator what PDP senators couldn't do in 20 years. I am a core APC member and less than a year ago Peter Obi was a PDP member.
There is nothing like "ordinary Nigeria people" when it comes to politics. Etno-religious sentiments play a big role in Nigeria political space and it is not stopping anytime soon. Even in a state of the same tribe, section and religion/denomination play important roles in voting patterns.

I understand the anger as a result of APC victory in the just concluded presidential election.

We all know that the election was rigged in so many states including Benue, but I want you guys to understand that Peter Obi got 308,772 votes in Benue, APC won with just 2k votes.

I'm also angry and disappointed because I didn't expect APC to get even 20k votes in Benue considering the wanton destruction of lives and property that occurred in the state over the last eight years of APC government led by President Buhari.

We all know that ortom supported Peter Obi, infact he lost his senate election because of that.
