If they had successfully taken over your whatsapp, they would have used your profile to call and attempt to hack other potential victims. Usually people who are in whatsapp group ls where you're a participant.

Yeah. Request again after the 10 hrs. Do it once and follow the instructions when they call you.
Just in case, they will tell you to press a number if you’re requesting for a code, press the number and keep paper and pen in handy. Then they'll call the code for you. Use the code and recover your WhatsApp. Goodluck.

If you use the number to register there, it should log you out from the other device, then you can use your 2 step verification to finish up your login.

You should be fast with this as they might try to frustrate your efforts by using WhatsApp Business again. Before you know it, it would show something like can't register on Whatsapp till after 24 hours

I WENT BACK TO MY WHATSAPP CALL LOG AND SAW THE HACKER'S NUMBER AND I WILL SHARE IT NOW.

WHEN THE TIME FINALLY REACHED FOR ME TO INPUT THE TWO STEP, IMMEDIATELY I WAS SENT A CODE BY WHATSAPP.
I PAUSED A BIT AND GOT SCARED TO WHICH ONE TO USE.
I FOLLOWED MY MIND AND IMPUTED THE TWO STEP VERIFICATION.
THIS TIME, I GUESSED RIGHT...LOL.
IMAGINE IF I HAD GOOFED AGAIN.
ALL THIS WAS JUST PRESSURE.
FINALLY IT WAS ACCEPTED.
MY PICTURE POPPED UP AND I CHANGED THE NAME WHATSAPP PUT ON THE PROFILE TO MY PRECIOUS NAME.
THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT I CHANGED IN THE WHOLE THING.

I WAS ASKED TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER CLOSE TO ONE HOUR.
AGAIN I COULD SLEEP.
THIS WAS HAPPENING AROUND 4 AM O.

AS THE TIME REACHED, I WAS ASKED TO REQUEST THE REGISTRATION CODE.
AS I DID IT, I WAS THEN STILL SHUT OUT AS I WAS ASKED TO WAIT AN HOUR PLUS BEFORE I COULD TYPE IN THE TWO STEP VERIFICATION CODE I USED WHEN REGISTERING.

Don't block your sim.

Dont uninstall or reinstall whatsapp.

All of the above wont help.

Currently, you're logged out and the hacker is also not logged in because you have 2step verification enabled.

Whatever you do, do not click on that reset link you received in your email as that would disable your 2 step verification and give the hacker complete access to your whatsapp account.

What you need to do as soon as possible is to open whatsapp on your phone and verify your phone number. In case you get a prompt that the verification code has been sent to your other device, just click on need help and select use SMS for verification.

I tried login in/Registering back Sir but was told I need to update my WhatsApp.
I did and was told that I have requested for the code severally (not me o) .
That I should wait for 10 hours to request again

put your WhatsApp sim in a small phone, and from your Android try and login back, and go to setting and click on forget password, a text will be sent to your number, input the number and after scroll down to where you will be ask to input your email then put it.


NOTE : if you have tried it multiple times , WhatsApp will have extend the time you can re-login to maybe 12hrs or so, you have to wait till the exact time before you re do it again.

a code instead of them sending you the code, input the code and you have your whatsapp back.
