[s] Top1gun: So there is no one selling Igbo slave during those time. The story about Equinoz or whatever slave revolt you Igbos bragged about on NL was it a Tinubu or Fulani that captured those ones and sold them to the Europeans.
I had to ask cos I can see you listed Fulani n Yoruba without writing a single letter about Igbos just like your igbos insult every other Nigerian politician as fraudsters yet none of your state not a single is beta than those states that are being defrauded. Wonder what you siant igbo governors do with the federal allocation you get monthly then. Maybe you submit it to Amadioha. [/s] This is the problem I have with you Yaribanzas...everytime someone (including your Fulani overlords) holds the mirror to your ugly faces, you direct your frustrations on Igbos. For the one billionth time, I am not Igbo. |

They did nothing but watched. Bloody cowardly slaves. I have never seen a more cucked race than the Yaribanza. |

We tell them it was the Muslims among them, they say NO! Yaribanzas are united despite Afonja's Muslim insurrection.
We tell them it was a power struggle over who will control the lucrative trans-Atlantic slave trade, they say we are ignorant.
Let them tell us their foolish history, which they have been cursed to repeat over and over again, they will go on a tangent insulting Igbos .

Afonja's rebellion against his uncle and Alaafin was based on him being excluded from the lucrative trans-Atlantic slave trade. Prior, the position he occupied in Ilorin was once profitable, but owing to the Fulani jihad in Awusa land and subsequent disruptions in trade, the slave trade to the north had virtually ceased to exist.
Afonja wanted the throne so as to control directly the slave trade in the south. He then got into an alliance with Sokoto for this agenda.
The rest is history. |

TylerDurden: The Prison Trustee Model Of African Administration: Case Study Niggeria
In 1963, during the era of independence, the Organization of African Union agreed to a policy of inviolable borders, which dictated that colonial-era boundaries were to be upheld, with one caveat.
It is this same outdated decree by African imperialist disguised as freedom fighters that oppressive states like Nigeria has deployed over the years to re-echo the non-negotiable stance of a "united" one Nigeria.
Reviewing the caveat on maintaining colonial borders, we can also deduce from history, that the African imperialist was only interested in maintaining the status quo.
The African imperialist appealed to morality on the part of the European and to his fellow natives a false sense of patriotism- Africa for Africans was more a racist plot used by African imperialist to rally support from the natives to oust the colonial masters.
With the exit of the colonial masters, the African imperialist transformed himself to a supreme dictator. It was thus no surprise that the gathering of African despot will agree to support each other to maintain the colonial estate they were handed on a platter of gold by the European.
Since independence era, African countries have been competing among themselves to roll out despots and repressive authoritarian rule and the few rights the average African enjoys was not in anyway by the magnanimity of their leaders and governments but by Western and European human rights groups and govts.
Africans and their leaders have justified their brutal tribal wars just like that of the Nigerian civil war as an African affair that should not bother the European. We have read of how the Nigerian govt and field officers defended the genocide on the Igbos as a necessary evil to keep the European map intact and they were quick to both cite the 1963 AU caveat and that of other African imperialist leaders support in keeping Nigeria one.
The so-called founding fathers of Nigeria where more interested in a Nigerization policy where the natives continued the imperial status-quo. This is akin to what you have in virtually all prisons across the world where the real powers are not vested on the wardens but the prisoners themselves. In prisons in Nigeria this model of indirect but direct administration is well established. And just like in the real world Nigeria, only the most brutal, viscious and hardened criminals get to become powerful trustees within those walls.
The western powers never cut off the strings rather, they have outsourced the administration of your fake nation state in the hand of the most brutal and least accountable individuals. This serves the western powers in two folds; firstly, it absolves them of any responsibility as they can maximize their profit takings without batting any conscience from the brutal exploitation since they are not directly involved in managing your shithole. Secondly, it creates for economic and financial exigency since issues like environmental laws and regulations, human rights, etc can be done away with. This is why the west will seek the most selfish and least accountable individual to rule you. Just like your average prison warden who requires prison trustees to keep other prisoners in check!
If you blindly support a one Nigeria then you support the despot and native imperialist continued oppression of you, your family and entire populace.
The greatest evil about Nigeria is that it is a false nation and to be patriotic to a myth is to deny reality. https://www.nairaland.com/newpost?post=71666936&topic=4762380 |

chakula: The problem we have in the country is worthy to be discuss and its solution if possible rather wasting our time on issue that is unimportant. If you don't know who your enslavers in the past are, how can you know them today? If the Awusa knew that the Fulanis are their conquerors and enslavers of years bygone will they sit down and let the Fulani do to them what they are doing now? If the Yaribanzas knew their history, would they trust a bastard larping as a descendant of one of the slaves of a notorious slaver and whom by the way is leading them in another stupid Afonja misadventure? The Past in the Present is our dilemma. Until we address our past, only then can we rectify our present and avoid the pitfalls of the future. |

The irony here is that Madam Tinubu had no surviving heir.
It was her personal slaves that inherited both her name and properties.
So, even if Bola Tinubu is a real Tinubu per se, he will be a descendant of one of Madam Tinubu's slaves. But the bastard isn't even one. |

[s] sopskyno1: Six hundred and three repentant Boko Haram fighters are expected to be reintegrated into their communities in July after being de-radicalised.
The defence headquarters disclosed on Thursday, June 11, that the 603 repentant insurgents who are still undergoing courses at the Deradicalisation, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration (DRR) programme would be integrated after successfully completing the scheme, NAN reports.
defence headquarters said the de-radicalisation has recorded tremendous success. The spokesperson for the defence headquarters, a Major-General John Enenche, said the DRR programme which is under Operation Safe Corridor (OPSC), has recorded tremendous success judging from the feedback from previous trainees.
He cited an example of a trainee named Bama, who learned barbing as a vocation is happily married with children.
Enenche said so far, 893 former insurgents have been admitted in the programme out of which 280 been successfully reintegrated back into the society.
He noted that the operation was guided by the provisions of International Humanitarian and Human Rights Laws.
The spokesperson urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation about the programme [/s] |

[s] potopotoking: The thing is, the Arabs you see today are not the original Arabs. The Turkic peoples (Aryans) also invaded Arabia and permanently changed the racial makeup of the population there. The Fulanis ARE mixed with "Arabs" but not the original Arabs. I don't know if you saw a while ago when some scientists depicted how prehistoric Europeans looked. The prehistoric Europeans were black-skinned but became white through mixing. It's still happening today. When white European men invaded the Americas and Australia they raped and raped and raped and genocided the native populations so that today whites constitute a majority in these places they're not native to. Not only that, the offspring of all the raping they did now claim to be native, even through phenotypically most of them look almost indistinguishable from white people. History repeats itself.
