Can we at least focus on the good things each tribe has to offer?

Isn’t the toxicity from focusing on the bad stuff choking y’all?
Politics / Re: What Exactly Has President Tinubu Achieved Since Assuming Office 6 Months Ago? by OkCornel(m): 7:00pm On Dec 06, 2023
The country is designed to fail as long as greed and tribalism is not curbed.

In an alternate reality, we would be asking Atiku or Obi same questions if they were president.

The only thing that appeals to the masses is the criticism from the opposition, which falls on deaf ears anyways.

APC was once the opposition, see where they’ve taken Nigeria to in the past 8+ years.

If LP enters, nothing will change as long as greed and tribalism is deeply rooted in the mind of the majority. Forget it.

The corruption and lack of discipline is so bad. Meanwhile, something relatively unnoticed is going on the core North and middle belt. Illegal mining is rampant. Access to slush funds from the black market will provide weapons for militias here and there. And with our army getting weaker, no thanks to corruption, well Nigeria eventually gets balkanised along militia lines, just like DR Congo.

Sad times ahead. Sad times. This is what happens in a nation where might is right.

Politics / Re: Retired Police Superintendent Turns Beggar In Niger by OkCornel(m): 1:26pm On Dec 06, 2023
This is the fate of over 95% of public and civil servants in the years to come. Since y’all can’t think beyond greed and tribalism.

You can’t see the bigger picture. Heck! You can’t see beyond your nose!

How can you retire in comfort when you’ve played your bit in destroying the nation? You can’t plant orange and reap cocoa nau
Arewa PUNCH persistence finally paid off when he was asked why he took to begging alms for a living, and the man who was to later disclose his name as Okpella, informed our correspondent that he was not into begging until the cost of living skyrocketed and he could no longer afford the basic things of life from his meagre income.

Apart from his pension, which he said does not come regularly, he noted that he augments his living by standing by the roadside every day to beg alms from motorists and commuters going to or from work.

Arewa PUNCH investigations reveal that after five years in retirement and with five grown-up children and a wife, the retired police officer said life has never been the same for him.

Speaking in pidgin, Okpella reminisced with nostalgia his past years on active duty. “Wen I dey work, the work sweet because if I go work at times, I dey see N3000, N4000 before work close but now, I no dey see again anything again,” he recalled

The truth is that Nigeria is broke so things will get worst economically. The signs are already on the wall but we are choosing to ignore it. For instance, we don't even have enough money to print our currency. Students now have to wait for 4 months to access form A. How many schools will give you a grace period of 4 months. BTA and PTA have drastically reduced and your Nigerian credit card is useless. To be honest, even if peter obi had won, people will still suffer. The damage buhari has done to the Nigerian economy will take at least 20 years to fix and there's currently a global recession sef. The future isn't looking bright at all.

At the bolded, you sabi jare.

Nigerians wey dey hinge their hopes on Obi still never know what’s up.

The damage and rot so far is mind boggling.

Until the masses come together and put these political prostitutes under constant pressure to deliver. Forget it.

Nigerians never start to dey sell their blood and organs to survive. Suffering never start, na complain everybody still dey complain.

The politicians they defend never go to such hospitals. Idiots like her will defend Buhari and Tinubu foreign medical trips meanwhile na one local hospital she don die like this so after paying 50k per pint.

Something is fundamentally wrong with tribal sycophants. I’m really trying hard to make sense of it.

If she was in the inner circle benefitting from kickbacks. Perhaps I can rationalise it. But tribalism with hardship and poverty, I just can’t make any sense of it.

Perhaps we need specimens to lock in a cage and do some research or something.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Why Are Muslim Countries Not Willing To Accept Palestinian Refugees? by OkCornel(m): 12:40am On Nov 21, 2023
Islam life matters only when it is taken by the Jews.

Double standards.

No one cries for Sunni lives taken by Shi’ite radicals and vice versa.

No one cries for the underaged females groomed for sex by their religious leaders.

No one cries for the oppressed woman brutalised by their fellow Muslim men.

Ditto for Christianity and Judaism. It’s only when the oppression crosses these religious boundaries that’s when the victim card is played in full glare to curry sympathy.

Abeg make una gettat with una double standards. Despicable and duplicitous hominids!

Just imagine what a woman is saying..and remember what Oluremi Tinubu said.

The HATE is real...and the way to balance it is equal and unmitigated rebuttals that sting to the bone marrow.

She shouldn't be pitied for being foolish at all. But let her R.I.P.

The irony about tribalism is, no one chose the tribe they were born into.

So channeling so much energy and emotion over a reality no one made a conscious choice of is the peak of undiluted foolishness.

Tribalists disgust me to the core. No iota of pity for anyone of them.

In the end, tribalism gave her a quality life.

Tribalism is the way forward. As una no wan get sense las las, tribalism will provide you access to world class healthcare at a very low cost.

While the political prostitutes you are fighting over feed fat on your stupidity.

Then be praying for God to deliver you from what exactly?

I pray tell, did you choose the tribe you were born into? Think with your thick skull for once!

Moral of the story, even a critic observes table manners when he is power, then resumes criticism when he is out of power. If you doubt me, ask Amaechi.

This is not like every other threat. I have also dreamt about it.

Nothing will work with the level of corruption and wickedness in the land.

Perhaps instantaneous judgement from certain dieties could keep things in check.

Until then, forget it. The majority are too toxic and selfish to make the country work.

Most of the people criticising the government will do worse if they’re in power.

Everything stinks from top to bottom. Let’s not also forget the greedy hypocrites in the various religious institutions.

Saving in a hyper inflationary economy whose currency is unstable?

Best of luck buddy.

Food for thought: Your aged parents, uncles and aunties that worked hard in their youthful years thinking they’ll have a fat pension pot to retire on. Their efforts are now wasted no thanks to inflation that has eroded the purchasing power of their monthly pension income.

Better have a farm, raise livestock, fisheries or get involved in artisanal mining.

Controlling essential commodities is the koko, don’t waste your time slaving away to earn in a worthless currency. You’re only defrauding yourself.

How to know a sycophant.
Never for once criticises the government despite mistakes on their part. Same people that praised Buhari when he was in power are the hypocrites blaming him now. I didn’t call names o, but you can check from their previous posts on this platform.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum are those who criticise the government despite laudable initiatives.

Summary: Analyse things objectively, give kudos where due and constructively criticise where required. You won’t die for saying the truth on this platform.

Now watch the sycophants quote me and type trash. They never fail to disappoint.

Key thing is for the people of kogi state to work together and put pressure on the government to meet their demands.

Good governance is not a privilege. It’s your rights as a citizen!

Don’t vote and suffer in hunger and hardship, blame government for the next four years whilst you fight one another along tribal and religious lines. It’s plain stupid.
