The midnight massacre at Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho Oosa’s house and destruction of his property bears the signatures of General Muhammadu Buhari the Aso Rock Butcher, Bola Tinubu the Pharaoh, and Pastor RUGA Osinbajo the Scribe.
In the shadows, Buhari is busy creating his own “killer squads,” - Fulani terrorists- tasked with killing Yorubas, Igbos, and other non-Fulani ethnic groups. Buhari is ruthless, wicked, callous, cold, calculating, and vindictive. He used his military clout to further Fulani goals and Islamization agenda. He lacks the intelligence, wisdom, courage, integrity, and skill to deal with political matters. Over the years, Buhari has become increasingly erratic, repressive, nepotistic, and corrupt. Tens of thousands non-Fulanis continue to be violently killed on ethnic, political, and religious grounds. His method of murder became increasingly sadistic. Buhari’s cruelty to dizzying effects, is attributable to absolute power. Buhari, the brutal dictator, the 21st Century jihadist, brought economic ruin, social unrest, violence, and agitation for separation. There’s no denying that he’s the real Butcher of Aso Rock.

Tinubu the Pharaoh, stands against freedom, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of Yorubas. He shares the same traits with the Biblical Pharaoh. Tinubu is arrogant. He has deep fear for rebellion or revolution. He responds with subjugation. His internal emptiness leads to overcompensate with aggression. He’s defiant. He pushes against boundaries and limitations. He considers himself a god, but refuses acknowledgement of any other.

Techniques employed by Tinubu as Pharaoh

result from the above personality traits. He amasses tremendous wealth. He behaves criminally by bypassing the law. He’s known for his mischief and corruption in Yoruba land. He speaks as though he is the defender and preserver of the Yoruba race. He manipulates and divides Yoruba people with organized means of deception.

He claims to be speaking in defense of Yoruba people. He calls on the people to defend him against the people of truth. He keeps Yorubas divided into factions. He elevates some, and subjugates others. He keeps elevating himself above the people. He is “Asiwaju.” He is “Jagaban.” He is the “Landlord of Lagos.” He keeps monitoring the masses to prevent subversion and dissension. Whenever he fears a threat, he sweeps through with violence and murder by deploying M. C. Oluomo and his troops of hired assassins.

Pastor RUGA Osinbajo, like the Biblical scribe, is a professional at spelling out the letters of the Law, while he ignores the spirit behind it. The righteousness of Pastor RUGA as scribe is not enough to make him a pastor called by God. As a scribe, he knows the law, he taught to others, but he does not obey it or advise the Aso Rock tyrant and butcher that we are in a democracy and that the rule of law is supreme. Typical of a scribe, Pastor RUGA has replaced true life of godliness with a pretense of holiness. His blind support of Buhari’s tyrannical regime eloquently illustrates this. Hypocrite at heart, scribe RUGA is more interested in supporting evil regime of Buhari and mad ambition of Tinubu than in pleasing God.

The Aso Rock Butcher, the Pharaoh, and the Scribe cannot stop the tsunami of agitation for self-determination. Their sins will find them out. Disintegration of Nigeria is not only assured. It is imminent and inevitable!

VP graces coronation of Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero

Beyond its proud history and traditions, Kano is a melting pot of diverse tribes and cultures and a place that is home to all and for all Nigerians, where they can co-exist peacefully regardless of differences, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this today in Kano, during the coronation of Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the 15th Emir of Kano, where he represented President Muhammadu Buhari.

The event which drew dignitaries from far and wide featured, besides the administration of the oath, and the formal presentation of the Staff of Office to the Emir, traditional rites, prayers, recitals and speeches.

The Vice President, who conveyed the President’s warm felicitations and personal good wishes to the State government and people of Kano, described the coronation as ‘historic’, while noting that Kano is revered as a major commercial and economic centre in sub-Saharan Africa.

“It is only the tolerance of the culture of Kano, where opposite ideas can co-exist peacefully, that you could have a thriving free market economy, with several millionaires and yet also be the base of radical left of Centre political ideas.  This is after-all the city of the socialist man of the masses, Mallam Aminu Kano and many of his disciples.  Kano is also the home of the richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote,” he said.

He added that, “we are all proud of this city; proud of its legacy of tolerance and warmth and very proud that it indeed remains home to all and for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe and ethnicity, and the melting pot of diverse tribes and cultures assimilated into a robust, vibrant and cohesive whole.”

Congratulating the Emir of Kano on his coronation, the VP said, “Your Royal Highness, it is this great city over which God has given you the good fortune of being Monarch, a privilege which you know comes with the obligation of preserving these rich traditions of brotherhood of all tribes and tongues.

“You inherit not only one of the most revered thrones in Africa, but on a more personal level your great father was known for his wisdom, courage and integrity. He loved his people and served them with honor and complete commitment. You have a goodly heritage but a particularly difficult act to follow. But we are confident that by the grace of God you will exceed the reputation of your illustrious forebears.

“So today, as you ascend the throne of your fathers, carrying with you the love and trust of your people. I can only offer you a prayer: I pray that this land will prosper in your reign, I pray that the Almighty God will be merciful to you and to the people of this land, and that his hand will be upon you to guide and direct you daily. Your family and tribe will increase, your days will be long, and as your days so shall your strength, your wisdom and your favour with God in Jesus name. Amen.”

While also congratulating Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje for “midwifing a generational change of guards that only a few will experience in their lifetimes,” Prof. Osinbajo added that “the swearing-in and handing over of the Staff of Office to the new Emir of Kano is in fulfillment of the extant law and practice of the installation of Emirs.”

Dignitaries present at the event included the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; several governors, including the Governors of Katsina, Aminu Bello Masari; Kebbi, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; Bauchi, Bala Mohammed; Jigawa, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; Kogi, Yahaya Bello; Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal; Zamfara, Bello Matawalle.

Also present were the Ministers of Aviation, Hadi Sirika; Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (Retd.); and Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono; as well as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Abubakar III, and other traditional rulers.

PoliticsOsinbajo Seeks Better Management Of Solid Minerals by okefranci(op): 9:15am On Jul 02, 2021
Deji Elumoye and Kasim Sumaina in Abuja

Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo yesterday warned managers of solid mineral resources to get their acts together to enable Nigeria to harness the potential of the sector for economic development.
He said buried in the ground in various parts of Nigeria were riches that could guarantee every Nigerian employment and food security.

He spoke at the maiden edition of the strategic engagement on sustainable mining titled: ‘Resurrecting Our Buried Prosperity,’ organised by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.

Osinbajo, in his address at the webinar, stated that as of 1940, Nigeria was already globally a leading producer of tin, columbite and coal, adding that potential coal reserves are today estimated to be as high as three billion tonnes.
“Much of our coal is high-grade clean and bituminous with a low sulphur and ash content. And this is not mere speculation because before the discovery of oil, Nigeria developed its infrastructure, roads, rail, dams, provided free education in the western region for example, from the proceeds of minerals, agriculture and taxes,” he said.

He added: “Even farther back in 1913, gold in commercial quantities had already been found in parts of Northern Nigeria and what is now Osun State. Bitumen was discovered as far back as 1900 mostly in the South-west zone, the bitumen belt covering what are now Ondo, Ogun, Lagos and Edo States and today with deposits in excess of 42 billion tonnes we have the second-largest bitumen deposit in the world and almost twice our oil reserves.
“How about iron ore? We have the 12th largest iron ore deposit in the world, more than three billion tonnes. Besides, the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) confirms that Nigeria has over 44 mineral deposits in commercial quantities in over 500 locations across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. These minerals range from industrial and energy minerals such as iron ore and coal to gemstones, including sapphires, rubies and emeralds,” he explained.

“So buried in the ground in various parts of Nigeria are riches that could ensure that no Nigerian is unemployed, underfed, or neglected. And this is not mere speculation because, before the discovery of oil, Nigeria developed its infrastructure, roads, rail, dams, provided free education in the western region for example, from the proceeds of minerals, agriculture and taxes”, Osinbajo said.
According to him, except Nigeria gets

the management of its solid mineral resources right, it will continue living in the paradox of suffering in the midst of plenty.

He added that while the Ministry of Mines and Steel has the legislative mandate to regulate mining, many states and local governments have embarked on the imposition of their own rules and regulations, including issuance of Registration, Permits, Community Development Agreements (CDA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on miners.

According to him, some state governments, in a bid to shore up their revenues, impose illegal fees, taxes, and levies on foreign and local licensed mining companies and operators.

He added that enforcement of the taxes often leads to the frequent arrests and harassment of licensed miners and their workers and closures of mining sites.

PoliticsHow To Resurrect Buried Prosperity Through Sustainable Mining ― Osinbajo by okefranci(op): 8:59am On Jul 02, 2021
Yemi Osinbajo
By effectively harnessing and maximising its plethora of wealth buried in the ground in various parts of the country through sustainable mining, Nigeria will not only become less dependent on crude oil as a major revenue earner but millions of job opportunities will also be created for Nigerians, among other benefits to the economy, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Professor Osinbajo stated this on Thursday at the maiden edition of the (virtual) Strategic Engagement on Sustainable Mining Titled: Resurrecting Our Buried Prosperity in Abuja.

In his recorded keynote address delivered at the Conference, the Vice President added that effective collaboration among all levels of government to ensure the proper regulation of mining activities will ensure that the country fully reaps the rewards from its largely untapped wealth.

Noting that mining revenues go to the Federation Account and is shared between the Federal Government, States and Local Governments, Osinbajo said, “the Federal Government cannot effectively regulate mining without actively, and deliberately working with States, Local Governments and mineral-producing communities.

“The Federal Government, States and Local Government have to jointly develop working arrangements to ensure that mining is attractive to investors, profitable for States and Local Governments, not just from proceeds but also from personal income tax paid to States by mine workers and staff of mining companies.
“This engagement is one that could be a game-changer for mining in Nigeria, and it could mean a new era of huge earnings and prosperity for our people from our mining resources. But this will only happen if we adopt a collaborative and cooperative approach. If we work together, we will reap far more than we could ever gain by working alone.”

Making a case for the development of the Mining sector to drive national development, the Vice President referenced the huge iron ore deposits, gold, bitumen, tin, coal, among other precious minerals deposits in different parts of the country.

He stated that sustainable mining activities, will further help reduce the country’s dependence on crude oil to grow a productive and competitive economy, noting that with deposits in excess of 42 billion tonnes, Nigeria has the second-largest bitumen deposit in the world and almost twice the country’s oil reserves.

Osinbajo added, “How about iron ore? We have the 12th largest iron ore deposit in the world, more than 3 billion tons. Besides, the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) confirms that Nigeria has over 44 mineral deposits in commercial quantities in over 500 locations across the 36 States and Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. These minerals range from industrial and energy minerals, such as iron ore and coal, to gemstones, including sapphires, rubies, and emeralds.

“So buried in the ground in various parts of Nigeria are riches that could ensure that no Nigerian is unemployed, underfed, or neglected. And this is not mere speculation because, before the discovery of oil, Nigeria developed its infrastructure, roads, rail, dams, provided free education in the western region for example, from the proceeds of minerals, agriculture and taxes.”

“It is clear that unless we get the management of our solid mineral resources right, we would continue living in the terrible paradox of suffering in the midst of plenty. The problems are numerous but solvable. The principal issue is that of the challenges of implementing the regulatory framework,” he said.

Prof Osinbajo added that the Buhari administration has taken some major steps to further develop the country’s Mines and Steel sector, including in the areas of security.

He said, “as part of the the Federal Government’s post-COVID-19 efforts to preserve existing jobs and create new opportunities, N6 billion was approved for the Mining Sector under the current Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP), for the development of Mineral Processing Clusters across the six geo-political zones of the country to promote large-scale investment in mineral exploitation.”

“On security in mining areas, as part of broad efforts to re-engineer the national security architecture to more efficiently confront our challenges, the President recently approved a raft of measures aimed at ensuring the security of mining concerns and mining sites.

Osinbajo further said these measures, which will be driven by the Office of the National Security Adviser in concert with the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, “will be hugely significant in creating an enabling environment for the growth of the sector.”

He added, “There must also be a framework for ensuring that environmental degradation is remedied.

“We must discourage the export of raw minerals. Refining, processing, or beneficiation is the only real way to maximize our mineral wealth and create good-paying jobs and opportunities for our people.”

While commending the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, the Hon. Minister, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite; and the Minister of State, Mines and Steel, Dr Uche Ogah, for driving the initiative, the Vice President urged that the strategic “engagement should lead to the production of or the fine-tuning of a clear working document that spells out with clarity the roles and responsibilities of each party, the FG, the States, the Local Governments, and the mining communities.

“Even where these roles and duties have been defined in existing legislation, this is an opportunity to simplify the language, explain the relationships, take input on implementation concerns, and get everyone’s buy-in,” he said.

The conference was organised by the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.

As part of activities to commemorate this year’s MSME week, Rovingheights Bookstore, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing bookselling brands, played host to Vice President Yemi Osibanjo on Tuesday, last week. The Vice President was accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.

His entourage was received by Adebola Eyinade and Nike Timothy, co-founder/ Managing Director, and Abuja store Manager respectively. The vice-president took time to browse through the bookstore’s well-stocked shelves and engaged the staff on books by his favourite authors, most notably by the American political scientist, Francis Fukuyama. Aside, an interest in non-fiction, the Vice President interest also spans literature and poetry from Northern Nigeria. He is a big fan of works by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Chibundu Onuzo author of the critically acclaimed Welcome of Lagos. He is also a fan of Prof Wole Soyinka
He was very keen to understand how the bookstore started operations, the process for sourcing books and the challenges associated with bookselling in Nigeria. Professor Osinbajo remarked that he loved that Rovingheights bookstore stocked a wide range of books and was especially impressed with the range of indigenous books that the bookstore carried.

He commended among other things the ambience of the store and recommended more seating areas for senior citizens to seat whilst browsing through books, an arrangement that is reminiscent of his favourite Barnes and Nobles store where he enjoys buying and browsing through books while nursing a cup of coffee. The Vice President purchased a decent stash of books, most notably Professor Wole Soyinka’s latest essay: Intervention X.

Happy birthday to Mr Tunji Bello, Lagos state commissioner for environment and water resources on his 60th birthday.
PoliticsBuhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu Celebrate Tunji Bello At 60 by okefranci(op): 12:41pm On Jul 01, 2021
President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Ahmed Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state, and Babatunde Fashola, minister of works are among prominent Nigerians that have celebrated the journalist-turned-public servant.

The president asked young Nigerians to draw inspiration from the “accomplished journalist, political scientist, lawyer, and public administrator”.

“The President applauds an accomplished journalist, political scientist, lawyer, and public administrator, who has shown that through dint of hard work and the grace of God, the door of success remains wide open,” Buhari was quoted in a statement by Femi Adesina, presidential spokesperson.
“He encourages the younger generation to draw inspiration from the reporter with the then Concord Press, who rose to Political Editor, Editor, Sunday Concord, and Editor, National Concord.”

To honour the Lagos commissioner on his 60th birthday on July 1, a book, titled: “In Pursuit of The Public Purpose”, which was co-edited by Kayode Komolafe and Louis Odion, was produced.

In the foreword of the book, Osinbajo said Bello is a knowledgeable and effective journalist with “strong convictions and courage to back them up”.
The vice-president recounted the roles played by Bello in the environment ministry during the administration of Tinubu, while he was the attorney-general of the state.

“As we experimented on methods and struggled through these challenges during our first four years (I was attorney-general and commissioner for justice at the time), it became clear that the environment ministry was one that needed a miracle worker to man successfully,” Osinbajo writes in the foreword.
“It was against this background that the governor came up with the idea of putting Tunji Bello on this difficult job at commencement of his second term of office.”

Tinubu described Bello as “steadfast, principled and a man of excellence”, adding that he never carried out partial works or made excuses.
“In difficult times, the character of a person is most revealed. I have seen Tunji in action in such moments. He remained steadfast and intact. A man of principle, Tunji never backed away from the fight worth fighting,” he said.

“He got the work done better than I thought possible. As governor, I knew after giving Tunji an assignment, that I no longer had to be concerned about it.”

On his part, Fashola, who appointed Bello as commissioner between 2011 and 2015, said Bello deserves every credit he is getting for his contribution to the greening programme, while commending him for his “infectious spirit” in the face of several challenges.

“As chief of staff to governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I got the opportunity to interact very closely with Tunji Bello as an active “Kitchen Cabinet” member whose infectious spirit contributed immensely to resolving several challenges at the period,” Fashola said.
