PoliticsRe: Military Planes Bombed Gwoza, Limankara Begin Major Operation To Recapture Towns by Oklander:
During the attack on Gwoza, BokoHaram allegedly killed about a 100 people , including the wife of the town’s emir, his brother, and the chief Imam of Gwoza. Several towns have been reportedly seized by Boko Haram.
All these people are leaders and they are Muslims, who knows how many more Muslims killed by these monsters during that operation, if it had been that one Pastor, a christian leader died in this incident, you will see many posts on nairaland about how Muslims are killing them and how Islam teaches Muslim to kill them. They care not to hear when we say the fact, that the majority killed by these monsters are Muslims. They take it as normal and simply overlook when Imam is killed but turn hypocritical and start ranting when the news is the other way round.

Only the ignorant or the sincerely-ignorant people will keep saying/believing that a place merely as large as a state in Nigeria is trying to wipe a whole country.

Santino1: Nice submissions.

Most "Kogites", just like the larger Nigerian society, like to look for simple solutions. When you point out the pervasive ineptitude in all sphere of governance in the state, they'll be quick to blame it on the Igalas, Egbiras and what not as if the likes of Sen. Smart Adeyemi, Hon. Dino Melaye e.t.c. have fared any better with all the humongous constituency allowance they cart away every month.

Just like you pointed out, all the state needs is that ONE person with the will to set her on the right course; and unfortunately, I don't see such person amongst those clowns parading themselves as 'politicians' in the state.

To even think Abubakar Audu is the 'best governor' the state has produced since the advent of democracy is a big indictment on the people of the state and that, is a big SHAME...
A big time shame indeed!

abu12: Kogi people shld fight for that oil, because that is the only resource that easy to tap and make easy money from. If kogi people get that oil, they will receive federal govt attention than those mineral resource the ops mention above. There no part of with the without sold mineral resources but even FG is not ready not to talk of states, south east has cool and other resource what are they doing about it.
What are you talking about? A state with enough resources but can't manage it should be fighting for more? Must it be Oil?

You may be right but who knows, since the area of the oil the state is claiming will be in the Kogi east from which all the incompetent backward governors that has brought down this state has been from.

thwarrior72: It is simple, Kogi people fail to detach themselves from the grip of core north, who sees them as a subject/minority that must not be allowed to live to they full potentials.

It's very unfortunate, unptil now kogians & benuans have not realise that they are distinct people from the core north, & should pursue they dream & self determination.
In as much as you a have a point, and the bolded could be justified on the case of Obajana in Kogi state owned by a core Northerner with nothing much gained by the indigenes(Kogi indigenes/students were once deceived by a dangote scholarship for kogites, it didn't happen), it is not entirely the case. The leadership of Kogi itself is not just trying for its people, its not putting the right effort and pressure to draw the attention of fg to areas like Ajaokuta and Itakpe, talk less of other areas.
PoliticsRe: Is Kogi A Failed State? by Oklander(op): 11:34am On Aug 26, 2014
saintikechi: That is why kogi is fighting for anambra's oil.
Very senseless move by greedy incompetent government if you ask me. why fight for more resources that isn't even yours while you have enough already and simply failed and failing to utilize or can't utilize because of your incompetency or don't simply want to utilize!!!

Lokoja, Kabba, Ajaokuta, Itakpe, Obajana, and Odagbo are all in Kogi state. Yet, Kogi is one of the poorest states in Nigeria. Is this state cursed or its just bad leadership? I personally think it's nothing shot of both. Its really unfortunate!

PoliticsCORN AND Akara...between Democracy And The Military "Dictatorship". by Oklander(op): 11:12am On Aug 25, 2014
Interesting...Shared from Fb.
When you see democrats eating corn it is election period or when they want something for themselves. Whereas in 1996 when Lagosians stopped eating beans and related food based on rumour that it has been poisoned, the then Military "Dictator" of Lagos state Colonel Buba Marwa was on his convey driving through Ketu Bus stop. Suddenly he parked and everyone ran after him only to find out he was heading towards an akara seller. He buys the whole trail of akara, ate it and invited everyone to eat from it. Before you could say "dictator" Lagosians who were present join him and descended on the Akara and that was how the poison rumour died.

Today even the democrat who is Health Minister no longer shake the hand of "the people" because he fears an Ebola which he knows can only be transferred via handshake when the carrying is terminally ill. So which of these two government was more of the people?

The democrats are presently on each other's
throat cursing the North and Northerners, cursing the south and southerners. There is a zoning crisis which ensure that a Fashola cannot be president in 2015 even if he works himself to grail hair and the world testifies. But Buba Marwa the "Dictator" of Lagos was in Abuja when he heard MKO Abiola had died and Lagos was tense. He rushed back to Lagos, paid a visit to the Abiolas walking pass thousands of angry youths who sent back all his guards and only allowed him, a military man from Kaduna, to get into the house and when Marwa was through with the visit a batallion of Lagosians escorted his convoy back to his Alausa, Ikeja office, singing thus: “Marwa o, o se wo ni, awa o je gba soja laye, Marwa o, o se wo ni “(But for you
Marwa, we would not have given any soldier a chance).

Today Buhari cannot go to a popular market in Onitsha and campaign without being attacked neither can Jonathan visit Borno state. And they tell us the government is of the people. They tell us democracy unites whereas the internet is full of Northerners and southerners cursing out each other over a democratic argument. We say that they tell us lies, the obvious kinds.

While the Commander in Chief of the Democratic Armed Forces is afraid of Borno state, Colonel Marwa the "dictator" walked on broken bottles,...yes broken bottles, to settle dispute in
Lagos.

But who is Buba Marwa under democracy today? Is he the President of the country or a state governor or even a local government Chairman? Noooo, he is just another politician in Adamawa begging the most corrupt political party in Nigeria to help him become governor.

If you do not understand by now how democracy is evil then you are the slowest learner in the history of the world. The man was God fearing and we are saying bring a system based on Godliness and rule the people by what He has revealed, you will get better than a Marwa. You may however stick to your democracy of deception and mirage, there must exist mad people for others to appreciate their sanity.

Muslims wants to head every organization. It is against the koran for a christian to lead them. That is why they all hate jonathan.

They are the biggest liars and deceivers.

Boko haram is an islamic agenda favourable to all muslims in the north even some north central and south west people are part of it.

Muslims shall never deceive us in this country. We know their tricks.
What about those Muslims in the north that have died in their attacks, how is it favourable to them?

@Op, what you posted up there is a big time propaganda and its totally senseless.

had it been the report said, Malam Yusuf Usman stole the ipad and 17milla, this thread would have been hijacked by bunch of hypocritical brainless Islamophobic phools on nairaland, brainlessly piling the blame and insult on Islam and other Muslims. Seeing this is not the case but in fact the opposite, they will hypocritically ignore his name and the teachings of the religion he said he is following. All what they want to hear about Islam and Muslim is negative news, it incite and gives them high 0rgasmic feelings perhaps!!!
