To solve your wife TEER is very easy. The job offer she has should have her managers name, contact email or number and business name with address. Let the job offer state the job role and the job descriptions with the pay either per year or per hour. Also, the job type (wether it's full time or part time). Note that the minimum standard for full time job is at least 30hours per week by IRCC. Then Look for the closest NOC code that aligns with that job offer from TEER 0 to 5 and state it in your application but it is not about what you say, its about the validity of everything you attached. Also show her pay stub and tax from Canada if possible with her bank statement.

And if her pgwp is expiring soon don't be afraid, IRCC have been giving extension to pgwp holders recently so far you have a job offer by a Canadian business. Don't be in a hurry to submit an incomplete documents in your application. Do your due diligence.

You can apply for an open WP if you are the spouse/common-law partner of a post-graduate student who already holds a WP as a highly skilled worker.

Eligibility to apply

The principal worker needs to be already employed in an occupation under TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3.

A copy of your spouse/common-law partner’s open WP,
A letter from their current employer that confirms they work there in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation, or a copy of their employment offer or contract, and

I am in the same boat as you, my case is SOWP for my husband, I have requested for my gcms notes and have also asked my mp to request for a detailed reason for the refusal, I am considering a reconsideration request via webform. I submitted my employment letter but not my contract letter where my job description was stated so I am guessing they were unable to determine my noc code and Teer level at the time. It will end in praise.

When did you reapply? And how long did the second application take? Did you request for gcms note to understand the actual reasons for the refusal? I think that you have considered a reconsideration by raising a webform with the necessary documents. Can you list the documents you used for the second application

1. Check the new POF requirements to see what you need for your family size.
2. All lump sums should be explained especially when it appears in your SOA.
5. You need to wait for her PGWP to be approved before applying for your WP.

Actually you qualify for sowp as at november when you applied for visiting even now becos ur wife is a studemt inside canada before the new law BUT that late now as she graduate next month ..but the big question is ur wife getting 1 yr or 3yrs pgwp and what the plan towards PR ?

If you are legally married, TRV is the wrong visa to apply for. They are telling you to apply for a visa more suited for a married person. If your wife is A PR, she should just sponsor you. If not SOWP is your next best chance.

It will be pretty difficult to convince a VO that you want to visit your own wife and return. So they have given you a pointer. This was my situation so I know.

Sorry for the refusal. Unfortunately, you cannot be considered for SOWP anymore. You can only apply after she starts her PGWP. Your sister statement will show money inflows, how did those funds come in? Is it via business or salaries, depending on the source, then get documents to back it up. How many months statement did you submit? You can show earlier financial help or assistance from your sister to you in the past and you need a good SOP to tie everything together.

1. Yes, you can apply for a sowp. Don't cancel the vv application, as it could even expedite the process.

2. Amongst others, you need documents showing strong home ties like your siblings, parents, parents-in-law, professional associations, investments & real property.

3. It depends on individual cases. It appears that IRCC is more disposed to granting a sowp application to spouse of an international student.

4. Apply for a sowp now.

My wife is currently in Canada and her study permit ends in May. I applied for visitor visa for myself and our son under her application. It's been over 2months after biometric no update.Our plan was to flagpole to sowp. My question is
1. can I still apply for spousal open work permit under same application from Nigeria or cancel the visitor's visa and apply for sowp.
2. What documents are required and pof
3. Does sowp get approved faster than visitors visa
4. Should we just be patient or change to sowp as soon as possible.
