Lil Kesh was a guest on Sunday’s episode of “Rubbin Minds” on Channels TV with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

While on the show, the former YBNL artiste, and the host delved into the topic that has caused so much debate in the industry – contractual agreements between artistes and record labels.

In the course of the discussion, Lil Kesh praised his former boss, Olamide for giving him the ‘best contract’.

The artiste’s definition of ‘best contract’ was that Olamide did more for him than what was written in the contract.

He said Olamide treated him and other YBNL label mates like family and made sure they had the best as he did not only give them fish but also taught them how to fish.

In essence, he trained them to be independent as well as teaching them all about the music business in the process.

Lil Kesh then opined that one of the reasons why artistes get embroiled in contract disputes is the fact that they hastily jump at ‘juicy’ contracts out of desperation.

I seize the opportunity of this year’s celebration which comes just two days before the first anniversary of the present Administration, to reassure our children and youth that we remain fully committed to fulfilling our promise of a better Nigeria for all of our people.
On this happy occasion for our children, I reaffirm my belief that it is the right of every Nigerian child to have access to quality and affordable education, as well as healthcare and other basic necessities for a good life, in a peaceful and secure environment.
The good health and well-being of Nigerian children remain a top priority on our agenda for national development and we have demonstrated our strong commitment in this regard with the allocation of N12.6 billion in the 2016 budget for vaccines and programmes to prevent childhood killer diseases such as polio, measles and yellow fever.
Other measures in the 2016 budget, such as the school feeding programme for children at a cost of N93.1 billion, will ensure that more children go to school and enjoy the fun of learning and growing together with their peers.

The family of Oluchi Anekwe, a 300-level student of Accounting in the University of Lagos, who was electrocuted by a live wire on the school premises, has been paid N45m as compensation.

A source told us that the money was paid after the Eko Electricity Distribution Company reached a non-disclosure agreement with the victim’s family.
Our correspondent had reported in September 2015 that Oluchi, a first class student of UNILAG, was electrocuted at about 7pm, while returning from an evening mass with her younger sister.
Oluchi had reportedly entered the Eni Njoku Hall to buy an item and was walking out of the hostel when a high-tension wire fell on her.
The remains of the Igbo-Etiti, Enugu State indigene, were buried shortly after.
The Federal Government also set up a panel to investigate the death.
A Lagos-based human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, reportedly took up the case and wrote EKEDC, asking that the firm compensate the family or risk litigation.
It was gathered that after series of meetings, the power firm buckled and settled with the family.
A credible source told our correspondent that the firm paid N45m to the family.

so called man of God who is the General Overseer of a church in Lagos State, identified simply as Pastor Dan, has run into troubled waters after he was alleged to have impregnated a choir member in the church.

A Kenyan man has been left in excruciating pain after his manhood was chopped off by a prostitute for refusing to pay her after passionate s*x.
The unidentified man is now recuperating in hospital but in serious pain. According to The Standard, the 31 year old victim in the Rift Valley town of Nakuru some 250 kilometres north of Kenyan capital Nairobi was alleged to have picked up the prostitute along the streets Tuesday at around 4pm and taken her to his room.
They later failed to agree on payment leading to the incident.
The incident resulted in an argument leading the lady to pick up a sharp object and chop off the man’s manhood.
Area Chief Stephen Macharia said in the report that a member of the Nyumba Kumi initiative and a taxi driver informed him of the incident.
The man was taken straight to the theatre for surgery. He is said to be responding and in a stable condition as doctors monitor his progress.

A presenter on Television Continental, TVC, Wale Fakile, has reportedly been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Fakile, who co-presents ‘Trends’ and the popular, ‘Question Time’, was arrested on Thursday after he left his girlfriend, identified only as Mandy with many bruises after an alleged brutal assault.

Mandy had exposed her boyfriend on Facebook and he was reportedly arrested after a Facebook user received a distress message from her.

Mandy’s post on Facebook reads: “I am Mandy, my supposed boyfriend that works with TVC, beat me yesterday to stupor with bruises all over and he said there is nothing I can do about it because he is rich and works with TVC and am poor.

The case was said to have been reported to the Ministry of Women Affairs and the Management of TVC.

A human trafficking victim, Love John, says she slept with more than 400 men in less than five months in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State.

Love, 22, and her 23-year-old sister, Happiness, were lured into prostitution sometime in January by their eldest sister, Mary.

Mary also tricked a cousin, Joy Lawrence, 25, promising the three ladies that she could give them jobs that would help them make a decent living.

However, by the time they discovered that they had been trafficked, the victims said they had become trapped.

Lawrence and another victim fled the hotel on Monday when they could no longer bear the pain they were subjected to.

Lawrence was reported to have been brought to the Lagos zonal headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service, which then stormed the hotel and rescued other victims.
