okorocha22: @dr hesjay....d ume quota u are posting are the numba of students presented 2 UI by jamb 4 admission. e.g for medicine n surgery, UI themselves invited 412 candidates while jamb also presented dem with 104 candidates 2 admit making d total invitees 2 be 516 candidates.
after d exam UI finally admitted 151 aspirants (those dat scored 65% & above in d putme).....dat same principle applies 2 oda courses

okorocha22: hey guys, dis is not a prank and sorry 4 d long silence but I had a low bat3. I have been trying to retrieve where I got d info but... i don't think d source of info really matters. it's not a new update though... d news is about 2 weeks old. I actually ignored it but I decided to share it because of some analysis I have made including d various oda updates on dis thread dat u have seen.
Here is my conclusion:
if UI decides to shorlist then dis info Is wrong cos they will invite both 1st and 2nd choice candidates... dis mean dat they will invite between 7000-10000 candidates with d best results and not all 15000+
On d oda hand, if UI decides not to shorlist then dis info MIGHT be rite cos UI might decide 2 test only d 1st choice candidate.... dis means dat if d 1st choice candidate perform well, they might as well ignore d 2nd choice candidates but if d performance is below par then UI may conduct anoda exam for 2nd choice candidates.
Before u start criticizing me, I like 2 remind u dat UI is a federal school and it is also very unpredictable which means they can change their admission technique anytime. moreover they have always preferred candidates choosing them as 1st choice rather than 2nd choice which means dat UI usually invites 1st choice b4 2nd choice (with d exception of last year).
