If it is their requirement, then You must score at least 7 in speaking, writing, listening and reading to be considered for nomination but you need to also apply for skills assessment first. Using your MBA or first degree depends on which one is closely related to your chosen occupation and don''t forget that points calculation for work experience is post qualification. dgr8est: Thanks okpas12 and Bellong .... I'll try taking the English Exam Asap On the NT occupation List, it was emphatically stated that someone taking the MARKETING SPECIALIST must attain @least 7points in all categories.
I only need 5points more since I already have 55points in Age/Edu and Work respectively;
Age: 30point Edu Qual: 15points Work Exp: 10points IELTS: pending
My Question is if I probably didn't make 7points as specified in the NT list, will I be possibly considered? even if I get a positive assessment?
2. My 1st Degree carries Purchasing and Supply while my MBA carried Marketing. I have my 1st degree Transcript and Cert but My MBA has not been issued.
Do u advice I use the Bsc only or wait till the MBA is issued?

Lucky you that marketing specialist is now being sponsored by northern territory. My advice is for you to get at least 10 points from English test to be able to apply for 190 because the truth is that you need at least 50points from age, qualification, english test and work experience for you to bag at least a total of 60points (assuming you are even considering 489) after being nominated by NT. dgr8est: I must commend the poster and creator of this thread @bellong for taking it upon urself to compile this.... Kudos
Checking d SOL and CSOL, I found my skill which is MARKETING SPECIALIST (ANZSCO Code 225113) Marketing Specialist is assessed by VETASSESS. But the last time I checked the ANZSCO search site, No state was sponsoring it and it not eligible for 189 subclass so I pulled back.
Tried checking back today and I found out Northern Territory is now sponsoring it since dey just update their NT Migration Occupation List.
I have my docs/requirement ready.
What chance do I have knowing that its only being sponsored by a state??.
I already have 45points with my age, Edu. qualification and work experience.
Thanks |

Oga Bellong has already answered this question; You don't need statement of account to apply, you only need bank statement as an evidence that you were paid your employer in addition with payslip and tax clearance certificate (if you have)... You need a total of 60 points to be invited by DIBP. for 190 visa--- will give you additional 5 points while 489 visa--- will give you additional 10 points bblessed: Please do they request for statement of account for processing PR and how many points do state need? is it 50 or 60 point. |

Yes you can apply as job experience is calculated as of the past ten years irrespective of whether you are currently working or not. I would rather you use payslips instead of statement of account. If you decide to use payslips, 2 payslips for each year of work experience ( say January & december ) will do. please see below for more clarification; Skilled employment: Only 20 points can be awarded for any combination of skilled employment in and outside Australia Outside Australia: skilled employment in your nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation • In skilled employment for at least three but less than five years (of the past 10 years)---------------5 points • In skilled employment for at least five but less than eight years (of the past 10 years)----------------10points • In skilled employment for at least eight and up to 10 years (of the past 10 years)---------------------15points dailydolar: thank you for this tread what if you have worked for like 8yrs but you lost your job can you still apply for the jobs that fit your experience and also how many month statement of account is requested |

Skip Navigation LinksHome > Individuals and Travellers > Working in Australia > Workers Workers Cap and Cease of some GSM visa subclasses The Assistant Minister set a cap for offshore General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas which takes effect on 22 September 2015. The following offshore General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas are affected: Skilled Independent (subclass 175) Skilled Sponsored (subclass 176) Skilled Regional Sponsored (subclass 475). As such unfinalised applications for these subclasses are taken not to have been made and the relevant visa application charge will be refunded to affected applicants. More information is available about Cap and Cease. http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Workscrollmeout: Morning folks,
Just woke up to see that DIBP has reverted to the former method of holding 2 invitation rounds per month (every two weeks). The draws are no longer held on the Mondays but now on Fridays.
The numbers of 189 monthly invitations have also dropped from 2300 to 2000, while 489 has also declined to just 40.

Thanks so much! NNBB2012: As it is, you have 45points without the English test. You need at least 10points from English test for you to be eligible for any visa. Department of immigration would refer to your letter for the purpose of awarding points for your experience; since it is stated on your letter that you have 3yrs, then you would be awarded 5points and nothing more. Focus on our English test and make sure you get at least 7,7,7,7 (IELTS)/ 65,65,65,65 (PTE A). Goodluck in your test. |

KIKIADE: Sir, How was the experience with TRA, what are the documents needed and how long does it take for the result to be out, then the fees as compare with that of EA. then why going for 341111 when you can go for some other electrical engineering occupations on the list. Sorry for all the questions , I equally have HND with 15 years experience in NEPA and at the point of choosing one of the occupations on the SOL list but considering the fees by the assessing organization-EA,TRA and VETASSESS.thanks As for the documents needed to apply for TRA, the best option is to visit their website and follow the requirement / steps in the application guide. It actually took them 50working days to send my outcome.I really don't know much about EA, but TRA is AUD1000 while EA is about AUD800. I opted for 341111 because that is where i felt i would get a positive outcome and i eventually got it. |

NNBB2012: Good on you, you are fine with the Cert 3 for that occupation. Like I said before, you will still get your 10points from the qualification. You really don't need to include your HND while submitting EOI. How many points do you have altogether now? And which visa would you be applying for? Thanks NNBB2012. Age = 30 points, Experience = 5 points, Qualification = 10 points, PTEA / IELTS = Registered already and will be writing in 2 weeks. It was stated on my outcome letter that i started skill employment since December 2004 and at that my equivalent experience in Australia is AT LEAST 3 years.Just hoping that when i finally lodge my application, i will be awarded more than 5 points. |

NNBB2012: Which occupation were you assessed for? What should bother you is the requirement of the occupation. Both HND and Cert 3 have the same points. My assessment was for Electrician (General-341111). |

Just got a positive response from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA). My seven years experience was assessed as being equivalent to at least three years in Australia and also only my National Dilpoma (ND) was assessed as being equivalent to AQF cert III instead of my Higher National Diploma (HND). |

Degree obtained through part-time is accepted. You will be assessed according to your course content and that is why transcript is always requested from applicants. opa4pr: Hello house, i need your inputs here as regards my chances for 189/190 Visa. I have a bachelors degree in Accounting and two years work experience as human resource officer. I admit i cannot get points for work experience. Age- 30 IELTS- 7 in all bands (About to write) 10 Bsc- 15 CSOL- 5 ...all equals 60
My worry is, i actually obtained the Bsc via distance learning. My transcript had been evaluated by World Education Service(WES) while i was processing Masters in the USA. IPA/CPA I learnt assess Accounting skills, would they accept Bsc obtained via part time? Thanks. bossladymo ferdimako NNBB2012 |
