Education › Re: Advantages Of Attending A Military School. by okusman(m): 10:05pm On Dec 12, 2016 |
officialPMN: Most people think going to a military school has disadvantages or takes a bad toll on children but today on this post I am going to highlight the reasons why going to a military secondary school isn't a bad idea. 1) Discipline Everyone knows that you can not mess up around uniformed men. They are rules for every activity that goes on in the school and you totally know what an army slap feels like not to talk of flogging so you can not think of going against the rules. In military schools like command secondary school, Discipline is the first word on their motto before knowledge.
2) knowledge I can confidently tell you that military schools can boast of having the best teachers cause there teachers are carefully selected by the Federal Ministry of Defence yes I said ministry of Defence their teachers are under the ministry of defence not education. So you can be sure of having the best education.
3) Smartness You can not compare the smartness of a child that attended a military school to other schools. Because while they are busy trying to outsmart a soldier you are busy trying to outsmart a civilian you know the difference. When you spend six years outsmarting a soldier trust me you are totally going to survive on the streets.
3) Barrack Influence Attending a military school makes you get in contact with barrack peeps as well as the barrack itself. Not everything in the barracks is actually a social vice there is this feeling and vibe that comes from the barracks it grooms you to be tough for the task ahead in the outside world.
4) Easy choice of a career path When you are in an environment for long it tends to affect your choice of career in the future. Being around the military men makes you see the beauty and importance of their profession so its not always difficult to pick a career. Too be continued.....

Lagusta: Eiyaaa, this just shows that you know NOTHING about health care.... Comparing the security guard of a bank to a house officer is like comparing the confidential secretary of a law firm to a fresh barrister...
But hey, a fresh barrister can still represent you at a court of law!!!!
That's just how health care is. You first see the house officer, he clerks you, takes history, performs physical examinations, makes an initial assessment, takes samples, orders for investigations, draw a preliminary treatment plan, and the finally inform his registrar/Medical officer....
The registrar goes through the clerking, dots i's and crosses t's, and informs the senior registrar, who does the same until the consultant is informed, who gives his final verdict, which all members of the team, including the house officer, follows to the marrow.....
So in essence, no consultant would ever review a patient unless the house officer sees, then the registrar and so forth....
Hope I am clear now?? clap for your self because I could see that u tried your best by using private hospital settings to break down your point... firstly, u said a patient is good to go when seen by house officer... lol.. just tell me yes or no.. can an house officer carry out a procedure on you? ... so even an emergency patient will severe case will undergo house officer to medical officer and reg and senior reg before consultant clerking?... there are several clinics in a standard teaching hospital... only 2 clinics (GOPD and Staff clinic) where are like primary health center use medical officers to attend to patients because most cases brought in to those clinics are minor cases like malaria and the likes... those with major cases are immediately given referral letter to the appropriate clinic , which are the other clinics in that hospital and they are called COPD or Specialist Clinics (e.g MOP, SOP, E.N.T, Ophthal..... etc). medical officers are not specialists not to talk of the house officers which are juniors to medical officer.... |

Lagusta: And you are....
Your point please....
But actually your post is quite amusing, considering the fact that the first doctor you would ever meet in the teaching hospital is the HOUSE OFFICER!!!
Cheers bro because an house officer is the first doc that will say hello to me doesn't mean he/she is the one that will treat me.... maybe I should put it in this format.... why don't you give the money that you want to deposit into your account to the security man that opens the bank door for u because he is d first staff of that bank to see/meet?... |
Health › Re: Multiple Bumps On My 3-Year-Old Boy Scalp. by okusman(m): 9:36pm On Oct 30, 2016 |
topic like this always educate one or two people. but the pride, ego and the "I know everything" behaviour of some people can just ruin the sensation of the holistic.... imagine two medical practitioners/students fighting over an online case. simply because they want the world to know their field.... shiiiooooor, @OP, please don't follow any of their advice except taking the handsome boy to the hospital... these small doctors hardly say a word on cases at teaching hospitals ... only d consultants do the real shit and some SR.... yeye house officers forming on top what they don't know .
there is hierarchical order in medical profession too. just like the forces .
Professor consultant S.R Registrar Medical Officer House officer medical student.
they started making sense from the Registrar. while they started making good sense at Consultant especially on surgery cases..
be wise... don't let a registrar , even Senior Registrar (SR) operates u . .. u only have one life.. and hardly listen to the medical officer downward except on malaria cases |
