PoliticsIpob Press Statement May 30,2018 by okwuta(op): 7:54am On May 31, 2018
PRESS STATEMENT
MAY 30,2018
PUBLISHED ON (TBP)
We the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide wish to congratulate all Biafrans and lovers of freedom all over Biafraland and various parts of Southern Nigeria who contributed immensely towards the successful outcome of our heroes remembrance day by sitting at home as directed by the leadership of IPOB. We salute the uncommon courage, determination and resoluteness of all Biafrans that defied the military threats, intimidation from Arewa Consultative Forum and South East governors to sit-at-home across the length and breadth of Biafraland.
We commend the people of Ogoni, Idoma, Igede, Igala and others who afforded to observe and remember those that sacrificed their lives for us to be alive today. From Ogoja in the east to the border town of Igbanke in the west; from the Oturkpo in the north to the island of Bonny in the south, Biafrans observed in their own unique way a day of solemnity, reverence and respect for our departed heroes. Pictures and video evidence abound to lend incontrovertible credence to the fact that Biafraland obeyed IPOB sit-at-home order on May 30, 2018. Those Fulani slaves in government houses in the South East should cover their faces in shame. They threatened fire and brimstone yet the people ignored them and obeyed IPOB. We expect them to sponsor publications seeking to downplay the effectiveness of our sit-at-home directive but that is of no consequence to us. No matter what they do, the material evidence detailing full compliance on social media and other platforms will forever indict them. We also salute the indefatigable spirit of IPOB family members in the diaspora that rallied in over 100 countries across Europe, Asia, America, Australia, South America and Africa. From the rising of the sun in the east to its setting in the west, all over the world, Biafra resonated like never before. We are even more grateful to the people of Ebonyi and Anambra States for standing firm to honor our heroes and in the process calmly reminded Gov. Dave Umahi and Willie Obiano that Ebonyi and Anambra are not yet the Fulani outpost they are seeking to make it. Both states are firmly Biafran states and shall remain so long after they are gone from this earth. If one thing became clearer as a result of this 2018 sit-at-home, it is the fact that people listen to IPOB not South East governors or Ohaneze Ndigbo. Roll on Biafra referendum later this year. PoliticsIPOB Vows To Attack Nwodo, Others Over Restructuring Summit by okwuta(op): 7:37am On May 14, 2018
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has stated that it would attack Ohanaeze Ndigbo during its summit billed to hold in Awka, the Anambra capital, on May 21.
The group said no amount of security mobilised to the venue would stop it from carrying out its threat.
A statement issued by the IPOB media and publicity secretary, Mr. Emma Powerful and made available to DAILY POST in Awka, stated that Nwodo and his leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo would be held responsible for whatever damage that accrues from the proposed summit.
IPOB had months back warned Ohanaeze Ndigbo to desist from holding any summit that would discuss restructuring of Nigeria anywhere in Igbo land as doing so would incur its wrath.
The group said its interest was rather a summit to discuss a referendum for Biafra, than a summit on restructuring.
The press release described the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo as traitors who allegedly want to celebrate their betrayal of Biafra’s freedom using the summit as cover.
“IPOB had since warned Nnia Nwodo and his collaborators in Ohanaeze not to bring their one Nigeria summit to the heartland of Biafra but they remain adamant. The only way this summit can hold is unless the heaven falls on the 21st of May.
“It seems Nnia Nwodo and his Ohanaeze Ndigbo don’t understand the language of liberty, we shall meet them head-on in Awka on the 21st at Ekwueme Square. They better bring enough squadron of their Fulani soldier friends as always to provide them protection and kill us all because the summit will not hold.
“We are urging all IPOB families to mobilize to storm not just Ekwueme Square but to saturate the whole of Anambra State and Awka from all directions on the 21st of May, 2018. Awka will be occupied from midnight of the 20th of May to 5pm on the 21st.

“We look forward to meeting Nnia Nwodo and his Fulani soldiers in Awka on the 21st of May 2018. They better come prepared,” the statement read.
PoliticsIpob Sit-at-home Order : Ignore The Fake News Being Peddled By Sahara Reporters by okwuta(op): 5:59pm On May 05, 2018
We IPOB note with dismay the criminal and deliberate misrepresentation by the Yoruba online media site Sahara Reporters regarding our May, 30th heroes remembrance day. It is deplorable that Sahara Reporters chose to falsify and twist our 30th of May sit-at-home press statement to give another meaning to that which was intended.
The proprietor of this internet news platform is supposedly running for the office of the president of Nigeria. By this willful and deliberate distortion of facts, he has demonstrated that he is a liar like all other establishment politicians and should never be trusted. He is a liar and manufacturer of fake news. Nobody should share the fake news from their site regarding our sit-at-home because it's fake.
Biafraland comprises of South East, South South Lower Benue and Kogi. IPOB sit-at-home directive is application all over Biafraland and beyond not just the South East. For Sahara Reporters to falsely report that our sit-at-home is confined to the South East alone means they have predetermined agenda to mislead and divide Biafra for their own selfish interest.
Sowore is one of those that thinks Nigeria is so lazy that it cannot survive without crude oil coming from Biafraland. If not, we do not see any reason why his news platform, Sahara Reporters, should be trying ever so hard to confine Biafra to the South East alone when by their own admission there are Igbos in other parts of South South namely Rivers, Cross River and Delta states. Let us not forget that we have Igbos in Benue State as well.
We expect anywhere there are Biafran communities in Arewa core north to observe the sit-at-home come May, 30th. Sahara Reporters is one of those news outlets torn between objective reporting and preservation of their corrupt one Nigeria. Biafrans are advised to always verify any news published by Sahara Reporters because it could be false or fake news.
30th of May 2018 sit-at-home will be observed from Southern Kaduna to Badagry in Lagos State. Between now and then, there will be a lot of misinformation from corrupt Fulani caliphate friendly one Nigeria media outlets like Sahara Reporters. Their aim as always is to confuse, sow seeds of disunity among Biafrans and confine IPOB led Biafra agitation to the South East in order to alienate South South and make Biafra an Igbo affair only.
Our leader Gen. Philip Effiong was the head of state of Biafra and a Biafran hero, so how can Sowore and his Sahara Reporters expect Akwa Ibom State not to honour him with a sit-at-home on the 30th? How about Col. Achuzia, is Sahara Reporters saying that Delta State should not honour him? Chief Frank Opigo the father of Biafra is an Ijaw man from Baylesa State, is Sahara Reporters implying Baylesa State should not honour him?
IPOB sit-at-home is all over Biafra and Nigeria. Ignore the distracting antics of some Zoo sponsored media.
