It was an honor and privilege to spend quality time with our presidential candidate and great leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, my old friend and brother, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila a few days ago.

Our meeting was fruitful and productive and together we shall move forward and go into battle to ensure victory for him and our great party the APC In next year's presidential election.

Great things are going to happen in Nigeria under his watch. Thanks be to God

Traders at the Relief Market in the Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra are counting their losses as floods caused by heavy rainfall washed away shops, electric poles and cables in the market.

Caretaker committee chairman of the market, David Obidike, disclosed this during a tour of the affected areas while taking members of his executive and journalists around the portions on Saturday.

“On one of the nights a few days ago, the Chief Security Officer of the market called me and told me that devastating flood from Awada Area, has carried the market as the flood entered under the Sakamori (drainage) system in the market and uprooted it, thereby wreaking havoc in the market.

“The damage was much, about 10 shops were washed away with the wares in them, the electric armoured cables, big water-borne pipe and telephone cables buried underground were all exhumed and damaged by the flood.”

Mr Obidike disclosed that floods had disrupted the power supply in the market since the beginning of the rainy season.

2023: Tinubu Visits Gombe, Seeks APC Delegates' Support On Presidential Ambition

...As Governor Inuwa Describes Former Lagos State Governor As Politician Par Excellence

Preparatory to the All Progressives Congress, APC's presidential primaries, the national leader of the party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited Gombe State to seek for support from delegates and stakeholders as a precursor to actualizing his nomination as the party's flag bearer.

At the palace of the Emir of Gombe, which was his first port of call, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, told the royal father that he was in his palace to seek for prayers and blessings of the exalted stool on his ambition to become the president of Nigeria.

The APC National leader described the blessings of the traditional rulers as necessary for the ascending of prayers and achievement of dreams and therefore thanked the Emir of Gombe for making out time to receive him.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu disclosed that discussions are on between himself and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on practical ways to advance the development of Gombe State.

"For us, we are always talking peace, stability, the unity of our dear country; I am glad I find a titled Yoruba eminent personality here and that is how Nigeria should be so that we all can continue to be one and one single entity".

The presidential hopeful observed that Nigerians, irrespective of geopolitical zones, are linked with common culture and therefore prayed God to give the nation joy and happiness so that its inhabitants can enjoy the growth and prosperity that abound in the years to come.

He explained that Nigeria stands at a vantage position to engage in meaningful venture such as agriculture for local production, consumption and export.

Senator Tinubu assured that if elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, himself and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will work together to make things better, banish hunger and reset Nigeria's prosperity.

Earlier in his address of welcome, Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya described Tinubu as a prominent leader and politician par excellence who has the qualities to lead Nigeria.

"It is a known fact that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu needs no introduction anywhere in this country; he is a prominent politician par excellence and a leader examplified".

"Today is another special day for us; we are showcasing yet another very important person that we feel has those qualities that can lead this country and take it to the promise land and as such and I have the belief that all the people of Gombe are really happy receiving you".

Governor Inuwa Yahaya described Gombe as home of the All Progressives Congress APC and equally a place of abode for the party's national leader.

The Emir of Gombe, Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar lll noted that the name Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a household name in Nigerian politics, describing his record as a former Governor of Lagos State and subsequently National leader of APC as incredible.

"As a former Lagos Governor, your success on internal revenue generation has set Lagos on the part of sustainable economic independence".

The royal father noted that Senator Bola Tinubu has carved a niche for himself in the nation's political history as a mentor to leaders and frontline politicians.

The royal father equally showered encomiums on Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his examplary leadership and commitment to the development of Gombe State.

He used the occasion to appeal to politicians and their followers to observe decency and decorum during political debates and campaigns in order to shun all forms of violence and disorder, praying for peaceful primary elections for all political parties and the General elections.

The former Lagos State Governor later had a meeting with APC delegates and other critical stakeholders.
