Please friends I want to know more ahead of the time, [1] I am a civil servant, and I want to sponsor myself. [2] My salary account is Diamond , but for the intention of submitting six months bank statement of account, I open Zenith bank saves account which I will not touch till next year July and I will be depositing minimum of 50k per month and I am expecting to have 1.2m through the monthly deposit by June next year and the remaining balance will come through other source that is not my salary account. I open the Zenith bank account with intention of funding the account through inter bank transfer from my Diamond bank salary account to my Zenith bank saves account which I will tender when the time come. HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS; [1] Is it better I include a sponsor or to leave it? [2] Please how will I generate/provide my pay slip and link it up with my zenith bank saves account which I tended to submit when the time come, since government pay directly into our Diamond bank salary account?. pls friends I really need a helping answer toward these my questions, thanks in anticipation.
Question 1....If your salary is at least 100K per month, u don't need a sponsor provided that you have been working for over 2 years.

Question 2 ......You don't need to generate new payslips that you will need to link to a recommended bank (Zenith, Access, GTB). All you need to do is to transfer the 1.5M from your salary account (Diamond bank account) to your recommended bank account statement. When submitting your bank statement you will need to submit 6 months bank statements for both banks including your payslips.

You really do not need to fund a new bank statement over time. You can transfer the 1.5M naira into a recommended bank account in one transaction.

Get your payslips and also ensure that your salary after tax is reasonable (I feel it should b at least 100K... my opinion though)

And I hope u have identified programs and the school you will be applying to. Also hope u have taken care of the English language test?

bosses, abeg i am self sponsor and i guess numbe 1 and 2 is only applicable to me. i dont have any oda account to show oda dan d one i have presented ealier.i submitted my payslip, employment letter etc ealier. pls should i jus represent my statement of account from 6 months bk only? note dat,i deposited the funds mysef bit by bit. the highest amount i deposited was 220k with an opening balance of 1m and my siblings gave me a total amount of 300k which ws also deposited by dem differently. i dont av any document to show for their transaction, shud i jus put this in2 writing or shud i jus represented only my statement of account for the past six months? abeg, make una help ur broda out o.
Easy peazzy follow the steps below;

1. Obtain a signed bank statement from your bank (6 months period to today - so get from 1 Jan 2015 till date)

2. From your bank statement for all deposit in your account from 5/5/2015 and 6/6/2015 (as requested) do the following
Write a letter of explanation stating the amount and the date it was deposited. Then for each amount provide support or origin of the fund. For example if it is your salary payment, you will need to provide your pay slip for that month and also a copy of your letter of employment.
It will be easier for me to assist you with this if you disclose the nature of your deposits for the period requested.

Example for number 2

N500,000 - 6/5/2015
The deposit of N500,000 represents salary payment from my employer LVG Limited for the month of April 2014. Kindly find attached a copy of my payslip for April and letter of employment.

Your residence permit application is now under process. You are kindly requested under Article 22 of the Act on Administrative Procedure to add the following information to your application and forward it to the Finnish Immigration Service:

A) Documentation indicating sufficient funds for your living expenses in Finland.

1. Statement of account issued by your bank indicating all transactions to and from your bank account starting from the last 6 months until this date. Please note that the bank statement must indicate the account owner's name.

2. Please clarify with official documentation (e.g. bank statements indicating the transactions, pay slips, receipts indicating the cash deposits etc.) the origin of the origin of your funds.

3. If your funds are from employment, please deliver

a) your pay slips from the last 6 months

b) your employment contract

c) other documentation of income or financial assets

4. If someone has deposited funds to your account, please deliver a bank statement from the sponsor's bank account indicating all transactions from the last 6 months until the latest possible date. The bank statement must also indicate the transfers made to your account.

5. If someone is sponsoring your studies in Finland, please clarify where/from whom your sponsor received the funds for the deposit made to your account. Please provide following official documentation indicating the origin of the funds deposited on your sponsor's account:

-If your sponsor's funds are from employment, please deliver

a) sponsor's pay slips from the last 6 months

b) sponsor's employment contract

c) other documentation of income or financial assets

-If your sponsor's funds are from rental income, please deliver official documentation of the build-ing/flat/land area ownership. Also please deliver the rental agreement indicating the date of the agreement, the agreeing parties and the monthly rent.

-If your funds are from land trade, please deliver official documentation of the land trade, eg. offi-cial bill of sale indicating the date of the sale as well as the selling price.

-If your sponsor's funds are returned loans, please clarify with documentation if possible when and to whom your sponsor(s) gave loans and what were the amounts of the loans.

-If your sponsor is involved in a business enterprise, you are requested to deliver

a) a corporate bank statement

b) the latest balance sheet

c) a statement of profit and loss of the company

d) extract from the trade register

e) an official certificate indicating:

- the salary

- the dividend

- other payments your sponsor has received from the company in the last 6 months

B) Certificate of a comprehensive health insurance:

Your studies in Finland last two years or more and you must therefore have a private health insurance which covers the costs of medicines (in practice the cover extends to doctor’s fees and costs of treatment and examination) up to a minimum of 30 000 euros. Since your studies in Finland last for more than one year, your health insurance must be valid for a minimum of one year from the date at a time without restrictions. For example a travel insurance with a validity of 90 days is not sufficient. Please deliver the terms of your insurance policy indicating that your insurance is valid for the entire year.

Please send the information to the Finnish Immigration Service within two weeks from the date of this letter. You can send the documents by e-mail directly to josefina.sipinen(a)migri.fi. If you send the information by e-mail, please remember that you do so at your own risk. The connection is not secure. You can also send the documents by mail to Maahanmuuttovirasto, PL 18, 00581 Helsinki. Please add this reference number to your reply 10507/110/2015. The matter may be decided by the Finnish Immigration Service whether the applicant complies with the stipulated time or not. You should note, however, that lack of any information requested may be to your disadvantage.

Visit our website at www.migri.fi for further information. Also check out the FAQ section!

Notice to all students: Remember, that if you are granted a residence permit, it will take approximately 2-3 weeks for the residence permit card to arrive at the embassy. Also remember, that without a valid and comprehensive health insurance, you are responsible for medical expenses in Finland yourself. Make sure you are covered by a health insurance at all times while in Finland. Do not terminate your insurance at any point! If your studies in Finland last two years or more, make sure to visit your local registry office (=maistraatti) after arriving in Finland and apply for a home municipality.

Good, but you need to send the hard copies, especially your student card. They'll acknowledge receipt of enrolment and acceptance forms though.

[quote author=olabode89 post=34703212]Time has not changed.....

Lemme give u a brief on cost

You need to be able to raise 1.5M or get a sponsor to deposit 1.5M in ur account.

Test of english will cost btw 35K - 40K

You can write one out of TOEFL, IELTS and PTE Academic

Notarization of certificates will cost between 50 naira to 200 naira per page.

transcript cost varies per school

You also need to get an international passport if you don't have one already.

You need to send ur transcript and application package to the school..... i used DHL and it costs 13,400. So multiply that by the number of application you will like to send.

...So u need around 65K for pre admission cost for one program.

....After admission you will need the following
32K for insurance
67K to 72K for residence permit fees
9K to send ur docs to the finish embassy... i used DHL
other expenses....5K ( bank statement, scanning n printing cost)

....So u should b looking at around 110k for post admission cost.

In total budget around 170K for one program excluding cost of obtaining transcripts from ur University and sending to d school of ur choice.

Please ensure u have a way of getting 1.5M in your account with d required support documentation.[/quoteI]

This might help wrt cost

Then you have not read enough...70 percent of the thread is about the application process from the english language test to transcript issh, to UAF etc.
Some pages ago i gave a brief summary of the the application process. You need to take out time to read this thread, read about Finland in general, visit www.studyinfinland fi, visit the website of the schools and program you want to apply to and know the requirements. After doing that you can ask specific questions if u have challenges.
Peeps need to understand that they are making a big decision. You just don't come here and say i want to apply for so so and so... and expect someone that spent hours and even days researching and reading to just start typing....start from d website i provided in the sermon above....visit d website of d school and program you will like to apply to... check their english language test requirements etc...
