ooluseyipa:Bros how you dey..... This one na small thing joor...... but it all depends on the number of available slots that you have for uploading documents If u get like 3-4 slots you can name and scan dem as follows 1. Sponsor's Statement of account.... one file 2. Sponsor's document 1...... one file If slots to upload no plenty u can scan the SOA separately and scan other documents together and name it as sponsor's documents |
Goskian:Brodally I need go AWOL o.... by my calculations if everything go according to plan my RP should be issued by the 3rd or 4th week of July. Sch resumes 17 August 2015 and I need to give my firm a 1 month notice before I resign. My 2 weeks leave can help reduce the notice period to 2weeks. So u catch my drift abi.... dem don overwork me sef..... so na to breakdown on Tuesday afternoon....lols Completed the online application and submitted my original docs to the embassy on Monday as I had to travel outside my base.... I didn't include a SOP/Letter of explanation. I plan to do that when I am settled and calm during the weekend and also upload it as part of supplementary documents, what do u think about that? Mehn... I don dey dream of Tampere already o...... Kippis!!!!! (na the only finnish wey I sabi at the moment o ) |
Cmanforall:Steps 1. Fill the OLE-OPI form 2. Get all documents ready and upload to the online app system, submit when all documents have been uploaded. 3. Ensure that you have all the documents that you need, then send an e-mail to the embassy to book a date for the interview. The interview date is usually a month after the request date. 4. Send your application (original documents and properly filled OLE-OPI form to the embassy 2 weeks before your interview date. Ensure that you have 2 copies each of all your original documents that were sent to the embassy. 5. Pay the residence permit fee to the designated bank and present the teller at the embassy at the interview date. Also do not forget to print out the confirmation of interview mail sent by the embassy. |
iceberg54:They arw super useless..... they messed up my app yo LUT. They said they couldn't confirm my educational background something Aalto and TUT did without stress. I just wasted money for courier services |
Chibuking81:You can apply directly to TUT and Aalto University. |
Chibuking81:From my knowledge and research on Finnish school admissions, if you are applying to 5 schools you will need 5 sets of all documents. Although if you are applying through UAF you will need 5 sets of all documents but you only need to send your test of English language once to UAF. Even if you are applying to same school but 5 different courses you still need to send 5 different application packages with 5 sets of documents. |
ooluseyipa:I don't understand u oo May because i used my office scanner and d default output is in pdf. u can change d setting of d scanner. U can svan ur bsc certificate n waec as one and call it prior/previous education certificates. anoda example is that i scanned a letter from my lawyer and some land docs as one. I also scanned my employment and promotion letter as one. Note that each appendix should hv a max size of 2MB |
Growingboi:Oga u need read this thread very well. Aalto is not a member of UEF. Aalto is a top engineering and tech school in Finland, it is d biggest infact. LUT is a very good engineering and tech sch in Finland too but Aalto is number 1 in engineering in Finland and it is super competitive. Aalto is located in Espoo close to Helsinki metropoly so it should offer more job opportunities with a population of around 300 thousand peeps. Lappenranta on d other end has a population of around 80 thousand...i hv no idea about job opportunities. I will advise u apply to both schools and also TUT. TUT is d best alternative to Aalto in enginnering n tech courses. These are my observations about both schs they might not b 100% correct. |
ooluseyipa:it has to b similar documents.... like i scanned my bsc n waec certificate as 1 doc. |
ooluseyipa:Have you thought about scanning some documents together and sending them as one? |
Sureb0y haffa..... how the parole dey go na? |
Goskian:I would likely go AWOL for 3 days ![]() I need my leave period to reduce the notice period I need to give my firm because I nor get shishi to pay. Have u received ur acceptance package from TUT? |
Goskian:I should submit my application on migri on Sunday and the hard copies to the embassy on Monday. The SOP/explanation letter is the only out standing document that I am yet to draft. I noticed that the application to TOAS for accommodation didn't go through on Friday May 15 so I applied the next Monday and got a confirmation e-mail. My letter of acceptance never land oo... but I sent an email to the course coordinator and TUT admission office, I was informed that I can use the scanned documents in the email containing the offer letter for RP application and acceptance of offer of admission and enrollment. |
@goskian have u applied for accomodation on TOAS? I applied yesterday but i am yet to receive an email confirmation. |
sirkezman:I attached only my admission letter. Kindly confirm that the email you sent the message to was visa.aba@formin.fi |
sirkezman:that is weird oo..... I have sent e-mails on two occasions to the embassy and I got a reply on both occasion around 3 hours after I sent the mail. |
ooluseyipa:Pay through the bank and present the original bank teller at the embassy as evidence of payment. |
ooluseyipa:Hmmm... tough one. Was the duration and the scholarship amount mentioned in the letter of acceptance? Send a mail and convince your course coordinator to forward the mail she sent to the Finnish immigration service so that you can include it in your application. In your letter of explanation mention the scholarship and make reference to your letter of acceptance. Also include the contact information of your course coordinator stating that he has informed Finnish Immigration and can also be contacted. Everything na packaging and God's favor my brother |
Goskian:I think it's just a recommendation, most likely it is easier for them to confirm bank balances at the aforementioned banks. Wetin bring wedding certificate matter ? .........LMAOWhat date were us scheduled for? |
billydragon:I will be going the online route. The account number will be included in the mail you will receive from the embassy when they confirm your interview appointment. We are to pay after booking.... I plan to print my account statement before booking.... make account statement no go fall below NGN 1.42M (6720 euros) |
ooluseyipa:Big chief!!! Yes o... I am also taking the online route. |
Cmanforall:Chief, use another browser e.g google chrome or Mozilla fire fox. |
@sirkezman @goskian and other peeps applying for RP... make una sharply send mail to embassy of Finland, the info I got before that interview date is usually 4 weeks after date of booking is true. I sent a mail to the embassy today and my interview date is 10 June 2015. For guys resuming in AUGUST abeg make una sharply go book interview date oo. Another info I think will be important is that the embassy recommends 5 banks for students 1. GTB 2. Zenith 3. Access bank 4. First bank and; 5. Skye bank |
Goskian:High chief Goskian, It makes a lot of sense to go that route. I think u might have to get a letter or a short term deposit certificate from the bank. Also draft a letter of explanation in your application and find a way of relating the fixed funds in your account to support documents relating to source of the funds that have been fixed. How far? you don book date for interview... hope u remember say na in 11 weeks time TUT they start orientation. At last I was able to push my SOA to 1.55M, so I sent a mail to Embassy of Finland, Nigeria today. I don't know how true this is, but someone that applied late last year informed me that the interview date is approximately one month after you request for a date from the embassy. So I don jejely send them mail today. I hope to complete my online application during the weekend. |
sureb0y:I suggest something concerning the sale of ur car... u see am? |
SailorXY: ... WICKED |
sureb0y:Bros no vex o.... this is only a suggestion. Lemme start with the car.... include a sales agreement between urself and the person that buys ur car showing the amount the car was sold, the name of the car etc. it should b signed by both parties and two witnesses. that should cover d 900K in ur account. For the remaining 1.1M u can pay in 200K three times a week for the weeks. You can also consider Adebasket's advice of withdrawing some part of d funds and paying it back into ur account. Make some payments in your name and others in d name of ur siblings or parents. This is only a suggestion o.... i dey finalize plan for my own fund lodgement sef...all d best bro |
billydragon:Bros... From my little and quick research.... both schools are highly rated in Finland so u can't go wrong picking either of them. Joensuu (lit. "mouth of the river" is a city and municipality in North Karelia in the province of Eastern Finland. It was founded in 1848. The population of Joensuu is 75,086 (November 30, 2014),[1] although the economic region of Joensuu has a population of 115,000.[6]Joensuu is a lively student city with over 15,000 students enrolled at the University of Eastern Finland and a further 4,000 at the North Karelia University of Applied Sciences.[7]............... From Wikipedia As of 30 September 2014, the population of Turku was 183,811,[11] making it the sixth largest city in Finland.[4] As of 31 August 2008 there were 303,492 inhabitants living in the Turku sub-region, ranking it as the third largest urban area in Finland after the Greater Helsinki area and Tampere sub-region. The city is officially bilingual as 5.2 percent of its population identify Swedish as a mother-tongue.[5] The business district in the city's economy is centred on the Port of Turku and other service-oriented industries. The city is also a renowned high-tech centre – the Turku Science Park area in Kupittaa hosts over 300 companies[citation needed] from the fields of biotechnology and information technology, as well as several institutions of higher learning that work in closely with the business sector. This cooperative element is seen as a particularly important factor with regards to the city's expected future economic development, as outlined in the Turku Strategy that is published annually by the city council.[citation needed] At least the following major Finnish companies have their corporate headquarters in Turku: HKScan, Teleste and Hesburger............From Wikipedia From the above extract from Wikipedia and the factors I mentioned above if I were you....... TURKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But be careful things might b different on ground..... I never pass Benin Rep oo |
billydragon:Which of the UEF campuses u dey bros?.... U can use Wikipedia and other online sources to read up on both cities. Pointers include the number of students in the city, the population of the city, industry presence in the city and the overall economy of the City. A city with a high population of students go dey very competitive for per time jobs. Also job go scarce for cities with little or now industry presence. |
sirkezman:Hmmm.... it was more of a message of grievance....But seriously they messed up my application to LUT. They claimed that they were unable to confirm my educational background the same stuff that was done by Aalto and TUT without any difficult. |
