Nice one OP. I think Akintola willliams deloitte is another company that should be put on blast like this. One Mr Adekola there never gets back to candidates after testing or interviewing with them. Theyy end up filling in spaces thru the back door. I think it's the big 4 firm with the worst HR, one would wonder how they became the best place to work in naija‎

Hmmmm...... Akintola Williams Deloitte do not recruit through d back door. When did u apply and also when did you sit for the test. I know a lot of peeps that got in without knowing anybody in the firm.

€31M not pounds..... that's around £23M. That's a steal for a bright prospect like DEPAYS. It is more expensive to sign a young player with a very bright future than an established player with 2-4 years of topclass football to offer.

Everton paid £20M+ for Lukaku
Wolfsburg paid over £20M for Schurlle after a not so good spell at Chelsea

....bottomline €31M is a steal for Depays. It might take sometime but he is gonna light up the EPL.

Lemme give u a brief on cost

You need to be able to raise 1.5M or get a sponsor to deposit 1.5M in ur account.

Test of english will cost btw 35K - 40K

You can write one out of TOEFL, IELTS and PTE Academic

Notarization of certificates will cost between 50 naira to 200 naira per page.

transcript cost varies per school

You also need to get an international passport if you don't have one already.

You need to send ur transcript and application package to the school..... i used DHL and it costs 13,400. So multiply that by the number of application you will like to send.

...So u need around 65K for pre admission cost for one program.

....After admission you will need the following
32K for insurance
67K to 72K for residence permit fees
9K to send ur docs to the finish embassy... i used DHL
other expenses....5K ( bank statement, scanning n printing cost)

....So u should b looking at around 110k for post admission cost.

In total budget around 170K for one program excluding cost of obtaining transcripts from ur University and sending to d school of ur choice.

Please ensure u have a way of getting 1.5M in your account with d required support documentation.

I hv read thru d thread and i v concluded plans to apply to aalto, TUT and LUT(if tuition fees nt introduced ). and to do a notary public in ikeja at N50 per copy. i v started preparation for ielts(bought study materials at british council, ikoyi) . application starts 1st December.

please, which month should i ask my school to send the transcript so as to get there by December considering delay and other factors and if Tuition fees is introduced, which country ll u suggest as plan B for me?

From my knowledge Finnish instituitions won't be introducing tuition fees anytime soon. You should request ur uni to send ur transcript immediately the application period starts.

You might also want to consider Norway and Germany. Although Norway requires around 2.7M for ur upkeep for its RP processing while Germany will need you to deposit around 2M in a german bank.

What course are you looking to apply for in TUT and Aalto?
I will b attending TUT by August. Aalto was my first choice nut i was not offered a place...the course i applied for Industrial Engineering and Management requires a First class in bachelor's studies.

The Transcript can only be sent with the certified copy of ur BSc degree which can be certified by ur University.

To be on the safe side and to prevent rejection of your transcript, I will advise you leave the sending of your transcript to be done by your University.

Before you even talk about transcript you need to do the following.
1. Search on www.studyinfinland.fi for schools and MSc programs that are offered in English.
2. Select courses/schools that you will like to apply to.
3. Visit the university's website, review and understand the requirements.
4. Decide on the Test if English Language that you will sit for. Pick one out of IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic
5. Pass the Test of English Language.... Min score required for MSc application for IELTS is usually 6.5 and for PTE 54 or 62.
6. Get all necessary docs required for your application, notarized/certified certificates (BSc degree and WAEC), motivation letter, transcript etc.
7. Certificates can be notarized at any high court in the country.... did mine for 70 naira per copy at Ikeja High Court.
8.Wait for application period to commence and ensure that you send all required documents to the school or UAF (if UAF us in charge) in good time.

Mine : Admission Letter, Passport, Passport photograph, Waec Certificate, Statement of Account(3months), Health issurance

Sponsor : Passport, Letter of Introduction, Statement of Account(6months)

Residence Permit fee for electronic application is 67K which you will pay to Standard Chartered Bank. The bank details will be sent to you when u book your appointment with the embassy. You will have to present the deposit slip at the embassy.

You will also need documents that will support the source of your sponsors income....pay slips, letter of employment, balance sheet and P & L statements of company, CAC registration form, etc.

If u have access to a scanner, set the scanner to "continuous scanning mode" or "build mode" then reduce the resolution......Tada!! You are good to go.

It should be sent by your school that is part of d requirement. I actually know someone that collect from his school and sent it himself. The trick is that, you need to fill in the name of ur school and the principal officer as sender.

Go to d transcript office at your school they are experienced with sending of transcripts.

Yes, you need to send 1 transcript for every program u are applying to. Even if u are applying to same sch.

So five programs/courses, five transcripts.

Also ensure that d envelop in which d transcript is put into is properly sealed and d back flap is stamped properly by ur University .

If u have enough funds...send ur transcript using a courier service provider e.g DHL, UPS, etc.

If u are having some cash flow issues.... send ur documents on time using NIPOST REGISTERED MAIL OR EMS SPEEDPOST.

Finland peeps no take life as hard as dem US, UK and Canada peeps.... all dem need na for u to prove say u get enough funds for your first year. Them no say a lot of peeps go find work and there is a provision for that in the residence permit ... 25hrs per week for per time work and no limit during the summer.

If dem want all does prove dem go ask for EUR6,720 multiplied by 2.

Na my observation be that and based on feedback from peeps wey I know wey dey FI. Finland peeps like documentation and logical flow of things.

1. Prove beyond reasonable doubt say u get enough funds for 1 year.
2. Provide all compulsory docs (health insurance, bank statement with EUR6,720, valid passport etc.)

If you read up some stuffs on migri website, you will notice that there is a 6 months period after graduation for one to search for job opportunities. E no b like UK wey wan dey sure say person go come back. I don't think migri takes the home ties issh serious.

travel insurance insures Ur property from any theft....or u in a situation there is an accident during Ur travelling or u r repatriated.
medical insurance covers u on all heath related accidents during Ur stay in a foreign land...please tell them health insurance...

It is actually health insurance.... made a mistake.
It is Clearly stated on the certificate.

Omo, there are no documents to prove source of income o. Na just word of mouth I get. My interview is in 3 weeks. My main concern is this source of funds parole. Truth is u might not get an appointment with the Finnish embassy until the next four weeks...and I'm quite sure by then..u should have gotten Ur passport back....so book Ur appointment and apply online for the Finnish visa...in about four to five weeks when u need to go to Finnish embassy..u should have Ur passport with u....delaying based on the passport thing isn't ideal ohhh
