Nice thread here. I have been looking into Uber for a while now as a side hustle but not as a driver but a partner. I intend to register my car on the uber platform and have someone drive it while my wife manages it. I am would like to read your experiences on such ideas as well as the potential drawbacks. pilot and xterra are SUV while the CRV is a CUV.

all vehicles are reliable, the CRV wins in fuel economy and low cost of maintenance as it shares engine and parts with a few offerings from Honda and acura.

I would pick the CRV for its practicality and mpg rating also drives like a car with good ground clearance.

the pilot comes in next with its 3.5L V6 for power and 3rd row seat foe additional seating room.

next is the xterra the best among the contenders in off road capability. has a 4 cylinder, V6 and V6turbo. reliable too but only wins in the off road capability.

the winner here is the CRV with its practicality combined with good fuel economy it would get the job done

Thank you op. Your analysis is quite helpful but Honda's K-leg issue is what is scaring me. I know the car would give you signs before breaking down but i have no knowledge about cars and i fear i won't be able to detect if a problem is developing. Also i am based in ijebu ode which has terrible roads and i fear may cause the leg to "tear" more often.

I am considering getting my first car however i am a fan of suv and after my own investigation, i 3 suv's have made it to the last draw Honda Crv, Honda Pilot and Nissan Xtera (all 2004 model). I hoping your in-depth insight on cars can help me make a decision out of this three. I want to know which is best in terms of fuel economy, reliability and low maintenance cost.
