Emoreni: Just for clarity: Team DIY solar The list for the setup from what I gathered from here includes 1. Delta 2 or higher grade 2. Jinko solar 555W or higher 3. Mc4 to xt60 connector (what thickness is recommended?) 4. Surge protector/ controller ( in case of lightening) Are these all that is needed for the solar setup? And how to mount the solar panel is my worry cos it's a rented apartment, I live upstairs, and also in the event of heavy wind hope it won't get blown off.
Please suggestions and corrections will be appreciated. Cc babatundehy oladele239 Hydronium Iamlammy twosquare Good one bro that you're making a move to be free from national grid wahala lol You have a great list up there I must say , for the power station that you intend to get you must first try to ascertain your power needs. That will determine if you should go for D2 or higher one. For the awg , you 10awg or 12awg. The lower the number of awg the better. To install the solar panel , it's better you call on a technician to help you. That was what I did. They will help you better secure it up there and they also know better angles to put it. You can DIY if it's convenient. |

Emoreni: Please what's the role of the mc4 to xt60 connector and how do you install it? That's what connects your power station to the solar panel for the purpose of charging. You can read up posts from this particular thread. |

Babatundehy: There'll be many more days like this, when the rainy season really hits, there will be days or even a whole week when the sun can barely be felt on one's skin, then a day's sun will not fully charge the device. You barely took advantage of the day's sunshine if you would have used the Delta 2 but didn't use because you wanted it fully charged and the sun wasn't really bright, you could have charged your delta 2 to maybe 45/50 percentage and then run your loads ( assuming load is somewhat close to the solar input you were getting, say 150/200), you could have had your refrigerator running, devices charged and fans working, you then shut the AC of the Delta 2 off by maybe 4pm or just before the sun goes down (you'll know when), so it charges faster until sunset and you have some battery juice for nighttime. My point, leaving to charge fully until the power station is loaded isn't the best way to maximise the solar energy, you can use for more hours by charging halfway or close and then loading it up. There was grid power all through this time of charging via rays so there was no need. I need longer backup during the night |

The D2 is a heavy duty Anyone here who has it has got a gem on his / her hand I decided to do something weird today because I had accidentally done it before and I was marveled!
My iron ( 2400 watts ) was left in power accidently when I switched to D2. Lo and behold e no shake one bit !
Today I used it to iron my clothes conveniently without any issues atall. My gen go beg me o because that's like the only thing that would have made me be remembering the gen small small and now D2 don handle am wella !
Monitored it on the screen and I saw about 1800 watts recorded |

Babatundehy: Does anyone have good information about a reputable, tested and trusted brand making lithium ion phosphate battery? I'm looking to buy one, 12v 100ah, the 12v 100ah Ecoflow branded battery on JUMIA is about 425k. There are other brands like odiple and cordi energy on jumia, and they cost 100k less than the Ecoflow's. I'm already thinking to go for the Ecoflow as I want to assume the BMS in that of Ecoflow will be better than that in these not-so-popular brands, I stand corrected 🫢, thus I'm putting this up here. I have read reports of the BMS failing in brands like c worth and even felicity, I definitely do not want to deal with that, I'll be waiting for your replies 🫡😊 Go for powmr you won't regret! |

Hydronium: Still Jinko? is that what you're using? how many watts do you get from it? Nope I'm using a 545 watts panel I wish I had just done the 600+ |

iamlammy: I wanted to get the Jinko 615w Solar panel when i got my 555w but people here said it wasn’t needed and the 555w will be sufficient as it will be over paneling but the 555w panel is not so bad for me. I’m not getting max input but i’m close. 360-390 average and 400+ on a good day. That's cool but imagine what 615watts would have done on a normal day. You'd max the 500 watts input no doubt! |
Phones › Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by oladele239(m): 5:54pm On Feb 10, 2025 |
For D2 just get a 650 watts panel if you can and save yourself the stress ! |

Honestly I could have just over panelled! Anyways I'm still very much learning a lot in this solar game. Over panelling will create a lot of room for maximisation of RV
Anyways we move ! |

mu2sa2: Just forget about the TV, it has likely packed up for good. I had a hisense 4k smart tv that had exactly the same issue as yours, took it to my reliable technician but he couldn't help, because hisense tv parts weren't in the market. That's how that beautiful TV got gifted out as scrap after only 3- 4 years' use. The screen will just crash for no reason. From my experience, I think the screen of hisense 4k tvs have a limited lifespan - maybe 3- 5 years. Worse still, no parts, unlike lg tvs & Co. Personally, I won't ever buy hisense 4k smart ever again. Op, don't waste your money by gambling with so-called repair, broken hisense 4k smart are problematic. Thank you |

Technology Market › Hisense 55 Inches TV Screen Issue by oladele239(op): 3:16pm On Jan 27, 2025 |
Good day dearest nairalanders
Please I need your advice ,last night we were watching the TV and the screen just appeared blank with sound gone... Two engineers I have spoken with told me it's the screen and one says the screen can be fixed at alaba with a machine.
The other said I should change the screen that he won't advice I repair it. The TV is 55 inches and the market price now is over 500k.
The one that wants to repair said it's 120k and I will pay after repair is done and certified working. I'm confused really because cost of a new screen is about 400k for the one that said I shouldn't fix ( that's not an option though because getting a new TV is almost this amount ) . |
