Your explanation is not clear
Is the power station in use as you're charging it huh

If your input and input have minor difference then it won't charge

For example is your output is about 250 watts and your input is let's say 230 watts , it won't charge until your battery depletes a bit

One can charge the external battery from the the excess power being drawn into the D2 via the AC outlets using an external lifepo4 battery charger.

Somehow, this works for me. At times when I'm out late, I can access my ecoflow app and control my D2 which is connected to the home wifi. So I can access all it's functionality and either turn it on or off, remotely.

I can even tell if there's NEPA light by the input voltage.

Presently, I'm out several kms out, and I just turned out my D2 which I deliberately left on.

Also, the only way to use the automation function is to connect the D2 to the Internet.

What rocks one boat might sink many....
As for me , I don't have any business connecting my unit to the internet.
I don't have time for stress biko

I may be the first to file a warranty claim on an ecoflow product here. Happy to report that ecoflow have replaced the faulty unit. They were so professional in resolving it. After trying a few things remotely, they offered to replace it. The Nigerian ecoflow service center was not really helpful, almost dismissive so I spoke to customer care in charge of Africa (South Africa). These ones were sympathetic and helped me almost instantly and ultimately directed the service center in Lagos to replace. So far so good.

Leaving this here in case someone needs to file a claim too with evidence (I sent a video explaining the issue). I must say, for their awesome customer service alone, I can boldly tell people to get their products without fear.

No it's due to bulk purchase from resellers.
You can't get it below 130k / 140k elsewhere.

I am really confused about the setup. I’m new to all these and I don’t know the length of the cable i’ll need. Two things I got right are the Jinko 555w solar from Fuoani and the 3m Mc4 connector cable from Temu. What else do i need and how do i know the length of the cable i’ll need?

Oga you need to ascertain how far the panel will be from your D2 to your solar panel. Try ascertaining the distance in metres. This will help determine how many metres of extension cables you'd need. It's that simple

Before April I am going to add an extra 100ah powmr lifepo4 battery to my setup.
I have watched a couple of videos of how many people have used external batteries to provide longer backup power for their power stations instead of buying expensive OEM extra batteries like in the case of ecoflow.

All that's required is a battery and an external charger.

Then you charge the power station with extra battery with an oring to xt60i connector.

This is very possible and realistic....

How long is your set up going to be huh

That will determine the length of the extension cable you'd need.

In my case I required about 12-15 metres , I got a good bargain on Jumia ( got a powmr extension cable - 15m 10awg for 61k came with an MC4 connector already fixed in ). No cheaper bargain for that length even on Temu or AliExpress.

Then you need to get an xt60 to mc4 connector ( I got a 1.5m 12 awg ) from temu for about 11k. If I had seen post earlier may be I'd have ordered 3 to fulfil temus minimum order of 30k for me. I ordered one for myself and one for a friend.

My setup is about 70% complete , just the connector I'm waiting for from temu. You can buy from a seller on Jiji if you don't have the luxury of time but I doubt if that's 12awg and the price is even like X3 of Temu.

I have advocated for a WhatsApp group for us where we can have issues of ecoflow power stations discussed first hand. No be everytime person dey come nairaland abeg. Even oyinbo pple get Facebook and WhatsApp forums for this power stations especially ecoflow.

Plus if you're ordering the panel on foauni, please don't waste time. That 555 watts is hot cake , it gets out of stock really fast. I was always on the look out to buy from them but got tired of waiting and bought an Eastman somewhere else although it was available at that same place but I preferred Eastman. Alas they restocked the very night I bought the Eastman lol
