Federal Government and Economic Mangaement Team chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has earned one of its most remarkable global economic credentials since inception in 2015 as the World Bank in its just released annual report on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) rated the Nigerian economy as one of the Top 20 Improvers in EODB in the world.

MSMEsClinic over 1,500 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will benefit directly from the first phase of the shared facility scheme being facilitated by the federal government
The special business name registration window of 50 per cent discount was granted by the Federal Government through the CAC to help to bring as many MSMEs to formalize their businesses (to register businesses at a reduced rate of N5,000 only from N10,000)
Business registration increased from 54,000 to 163,000 within six months of introducing the special window for subsidized registration costs.
Now business owners in Nigeria can now conveniently register their businesses online within 48 hours.

World Bank in its just released annual report on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) rated the Nigerian economy as one of the Top 20 Improvers in EODB in the world. He thereby saves hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who were going to die out of starvation. The noble action of the Vice President has been misinterpreted in some quarters even though he acted within the ambit of the law
It is five months plus and National Assembly are yet to pass the budget and given that the law allows the Vice President to release such funds in an emergency and. It was an emergency and it would have been suicidal to go through the national assembly and Section 43 of the BPP Act empowered him to approve the funds in an emergency.
The acting President needed to act and that was why he constituted the Presidential Committee which included Minister of fast Finance, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Minister of Agriculture, CBN governor, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, SSA to the President, Office of the Chief of Staff, SSA to the President Planning and Coordination among others.
Osinbajo only approved N5.8 billion as against the N33 billion peddled about in the media by some unscrupulous persons and agent of smear campaign against him.
Osinbajo has an oversight function in NEMA, as chairman he does not oversee the day to day running of the agency. Chairman of agencies are somewhat ceremonial.
