Well, I use 234001. I believe any will work, we don't really lookup postal codes in Nigeria, once the stuff gets to Nigeria address is KING! |
@4llerbe I kinda of like your humour, but really I think Windows 7 is far better than Vista. It comes with so much drivers that you might not need to install any for your laptop (like me for my Sony Vaio VGN-NR220E), it boots crazy fast and shuts down crazy fast too, even the hibernate is fast also. It does not asks those annoying vista questions, it is optimized for laptops and extends your laptop battery working hours (turned my 3 hrs batt time to 3:45 hrs). Most appealing of all to me, it is faster than vista (though not as fast as XP), has many wonderful cool features and works wonders with data transfer speed of more than 2MB/s on adhoc/peer-to-peer networking. |
@4llerbe Well with more than one OS I am not at the mercy of any single one, the only thing that can make me lose my data is if my hard disk crashes but never if my OS crashes. That is why it is far better to dual boot linux with windows rather than use VMware or Virtual PC. I think I will also learn more here, most of the hands on experience I have on linux is through researching to solve my problems and other people's problems, I must not also leave out my danger-trailing try-this-try-that inquisitiveness (it sometimes brings me more misery than fortune but in the long run I get better off). |
@Blackweaver You must be very good at linux. Though I am no longer a linux newbie but still an amateur. I currently quad boot Windows 7, XP, Mandriva 2009 and Kubuntu 9.04, I remember the first time I installed linux my windows crashed and the partition was irreparably corrupt. But now I have install linux more up to 30 times, about 9 times on my computer, I even have a blog on linux ( http://linuxforpro..com better viewed with google chrome). I have used linux to solve so many XP and Vista problem especially bluescreen and update hanging . How about being a guest blogger on my blog? I will soon go for the CompTIA linux + certification exam (would have preferred LPIC but I don't want 2 exam steps Certs or those that expire after 2 to 4 yrs, my CCNA has nearly become a burden) |
Well fados4sure, This is because you did not install a genuine Windows XP, probably the one installed is one of those sold in Computer Village, so whenever you connect to the internet, microsoft detects that your XP is probably counterfeit and tells you to report to them. In addition, your XP background picture will always disappear and when you boot, the counterfeit alert shows on your boot up screen. The only solution is to reinstall the XP with a valid and genuine key. I had to buy a genuine XP Service pack 3 from microsoft to avoid the problem |
In a BBC interview on Friday last week, Sanusi Lamido was asked if he will like to see some of the CEOs go to jail, his reply was "Yes, I will like to see some of them go to jail." BBC World business daily |

I am confused, is 15hrs pay day for a month for N1100 or 15hrs access for N1100? |
I am young and intelligent, I write lots of poem but I do not think I would like to work for you, if I do so it will be called under-employment except you will pay me per hour. |
