dreaH:It’s not compulsory to be in Abuja for everything. Authentication at the Ministry of Education (MOE) has changed, you don’t necessarily need to be physically present for that part anymore. The only stage that still requires physical submission is authentication at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). For legalization, the Spanish Embassy is in Lagos, so that part is handled in Lagos. So you can plan your process accordingly, Abuja is not required for all stages. TargetBoyExam:Most English-taught programs in Spain don’t strictly require IELTS. What schools usually ask for is proof of English proficiency, which can be a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter from your school or, in some cases, confirmation from the Ministry of Education. Regarding tuition, yes, there are expensive private universities, just like in any country. But there are also private institutions with moderate and affordable fees, depending on the program and school. For proof of funds, it’s compulsory this applies to virtually all countries. However, getting a Spain study visa is quite straightforward once you understand the correct documents to prepare and present properly. |
If you're currently looking for a country with a strong study visa success rate, here’s an honest update based on what’s happening right now: 👉 Bulgaria is currently one of the most reliable options, with visa approval rates around 90–95% 👉 Spain is still a good option, but approval rates are usually around 75–80% Bulgaria slowed down visa issuance over the past two years, but they’ve now resumed fully — and approvals are coming out steadily again. This simply means one thing: this is the best time to apply before things get saturated again. 🇧🇬 Bulgaria Admission Requirements For Bachelor’s: WAEC/NECO result International passport Passport photograph For Master’s: Bachelor’s degree Academic transcripts CV Personal statement General: Medical certificate English proficiency Bulgaria Student Visa (Type D) Requirements International passport Admission letter Proof of tuition payment Proof of accommodation Bank statement (proof of funds) Medical insurance Police clearance certificate Medical fitness report Visa application form Passport photos Flight reservation Why Bulgaria Right Now? High visa success rate (currently) No IELTS Affordable compared to most EU countries Opportunity to work while studying Less competitive than popular countries Honest Advice Every country has its season. Right now, Bulgaria is in a favourable window. Spain is still good, but more competitive. The key is timing and proper documentation. yusman14:You’ll upload your documents through the portal. The only area applicants usually face challenges is obtaining the verification letter from their school. If you need assistance or further clarification, you can reach out via my signature. |
Finli:It’s normal, no need to panic |
dasanchez1:Yes, I assist with Spain study applications, admission, documentation, and visa process. If you have questions, you can ask here so others can benefit too. Or you can reach me via my contact in the signature if you prefer a more private discussion. |
Donjay1356:Narrow it down on your Cv, like work, certifications, short courses and so on |
yusman14:even if you upload your transcript, your school will still have tj send verification to them that they issue the certificate and transcript thats where it becomes complicated |
BabaIbo:Bsc certificate and transcript re together they re not charged separately they will only charge your two documents not three thats Bsc certificate, transcript and Marriage certificate |
BabaIbo:Dont get yourself confused you dont need your waec since you going for a master program and fir your birth certificate just get attestation of birth Portugal dont accept birth certificate again ,get an attestation of birth and you do a token thats what they use for verification and for police report you dont need it for now because ot expires after three months and you dont pay for the verification so the only one you paying for the verification Bsc certificate and transcript Marriage certificate and for local government/state of origin...., your attestation of birth covers all |
BabaIbo:What re the six documents you want to legalize |
MrNice04:it might be hard for work visa route but not for study |
Olammi:I confirmed today at the Embassy of Portugal that they will now begin charging verification fees for BSc certificates and transcripts, similar to what is already in place for OND, HND, and marriage certificates. However, I honestly don’t think this makes much sense. How are applicants expected to keep paying these additional fees when: There are currently no visa appointment slots available at VFS Global Admission into Portuguese schools is quite strict and limited Even after going through all these processes and paying the required fees, there’s still no guarantee of securing admission and even if admission is granted, visa appointments remain unavailable From my perspective, the entire process doesn’t seem well-coordinated or practical for applicants. |

Marriage certificate cost varies by region and for attestation of birth is €20 per document just make sure you have a token because without the token they wont legalize it for you marriage certificate os always between 250k-300l |
freedomtours:I think there may be an error here you probably meant Portugal, not Poland, since Poland doesn’t carry out verification. Also, regarding NUC no longer verifying for BSc holders at the Portugal embassy, there hasn’t been any official memo yet. I’ll be at the embassy today to confirm this. |
I’ve seen many questions about studying in Spain lately, so I decided to put together a simple guide based on current information. This is not promotion, just to help anyone considering the route. General Overview Spain is gradually becoming an option for people looking at Europe because: Tuition is relatively moderate compared to some EU countries Some programs are taught in English It’s part of the Schengen zone There are pathways after study Admission Basics Before anything, you must secure admission. Typical requirements: WAEC/NECO (for undergraduate) HND/BSc (for postgraduate) International passport Statement of purpose CV (for master’s) Some schools may request: English proficiency OR Spanish language (depending on program) Student Visa (Long Stay) Common documents include: Admission letter Proof of funds (monthly living coverage) Medical insurance Police clearance Accommodation details Document legalization is often required. Processing Time Around 3–6 weeks in many cases Can extend to a few months depending on application volume Early application is always safer. Approval Chances Approval depends heavily on documentation. Generally: Strong applications tend to get approvals Weak financial proof or incomplete documents often lead to refusal So it’s less about country and more about how clean your file is. Family Option Students can apply with family members, but: Financial requirement increases Accommodation must be suitable Not everyone goes this route initially. Work While Studying Students are allowed to work part-time: Up to limited hours weekly Must not interfere with studies Jobs are not guaranteed, so plan finances properly. After Study Possible options after graduation include: Switching to a work permit Staying back legally if conditions are met This depends on individual situation and job availability. Important Points Avoid shortcuts or false documents Make sure financial proof is verifiable Choose your school carefully Don’t rely on “guaranteed visa” claims Final Thought Spain can work, but it is not a “shortcut route.” Like every country: Proper planning Correct documents Realistic expectations …will determine the outcome Tags: Spain study, student visa Spain, study in Europe, Schengen study route, international students Spain |
Hello everyone, I’ve noticed many people are actively looking for ways to study or work abroad, but the information online is either confusing or unrealistic. So I decided to break down some current and practical routes available to Nigerians. WORK VISA OPTIONS From what I’ve seen recently, these are the most accessible routes: New Zealand – Skilled & some entry-level roles (depending on employer demand) Poland – Factory, logistics, and skilled jobs Serbia – Construction, technical roles, and general labour Spain – Mostly skilled roles (especially IT-related) 🎓 STUDY VISA OPTIONS For those considering school routes: Spain Poland Qatar China Russia United Kingdom ⚠️ COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE From experience, most rejections come from: Wrong or incomplete documentation Missing important deadlines Poor understanding of visa requirements Falling for “too good to be true” offers 💡 IMPORTANT ADVICE There is no such thing as 100% guaranteed visa. Every process depends on proper documentation and eligibility. If you’re planning to start, take your time to understand the process properly or ask questions. I’ll try to answer based on what I know. |
chukgol:which document do you want to legalize because right now Portugal embassy in Nigeria is not the way it used to be because of appointment date and also which country is documents coming from? |
A lot of Nigerians are interested in studying in the UK, but many are confused about how the admission process really works, especially when it comes to cost, timelines, and choosing the right school. I’ll break it down here based on how things currently work, so you can avoid common mistakes and delays. 🎓 1. Types of Programs Available Depending on your qualification, you can apply for: BSc (Undergraduate) – WAEC/NECO holders MSc (Master’s) – For HND/BSc graduates MRes (Research-based Master’s) – For those going into research or advanced study Each program has its own requirements, so it’s important to a apply correctly. ⚡ 2. Fast Admission – What It Really Means A lot of people hear “fast admission” and assume it’s automatic. In reality, speed depends on: How complete your documents are How early you apply The school’s processing time With proper preparation, some applications can be processed within a few weeks, while others take longer if there are issues with documentation. 💰 3. Affordable Schools & Payment Options One major concern is cost. The good thing is: Some UK schools have relatively affordable tuition compared to others Certain schools allow flexible payment options (installments) instead of paying everything upfront However, not all schools offer this, and choosing the wrong one can create financial pressure later. 📄 4. Key Requirements For most UK admissions, you’ll need: Academic documents (WAEC, ND, HND, BSc, etc.) International passport Personal statement Reference letter (for master’s) Proof of funds (very important) Many applications get delayed because: Documents are not properly arranged Information is inconsistent ⚠️ 5. Common Mistakes to Avoid From experience, these are the most common issues: Applying late Choosing the wrong course/school Poorly written personal statement Not preparing proof of funds properly Rushing the process without understanding it These are the things that usually cause rejection or delays. 🧭 6. Choosing the Right Path There is no “one size fits all”. What works best depends on: Your academic background Your financial capacity Your long-term plan (study → work → relocation) It’s always better to approach it with a clear plan rather than rushing because of urgency. 📌 Final Note If you’re planning to apply for UK admission, take your time to understand the process properly and make sure your documents are correctly prepared from the beginning. If you’re unsure about your case or need guidance on choosing the right school, structuring your application, or understanding payment options, you can reach out through my profile. |
shabazz1776:For Portugal, it’s better to start early because most schools work with specific intake timelines, and delays usually come from document preparation rather than the application itself. For master’s, pay close attention to your admission requirements, proof of funds, and how your documents are arranged. Even small inconsistencies can affect the process later on. |
Olagoke2494:You don't pick a date you book for appointment online and on date of your appointment you go to the embassy to submit or you can submit through a proxy because the whole process is not a day not even a month process, although there's a way to submit without booking of appointment that process a different case entirely |
Olagoke2494:I will need to see the student copy to ascertain if it will be accepted at the embassy, the authentication of student copy is not an issue to Authenticate at MOE and MFA, the problem is the embassy |
