OP, you didn't Overclock the SoC you only locked it at its maximum frequency which it can get to based on the tasks you're performing. It'll help it perform daily tasks better but heavy tasks will still be the same.

You neither changed the power limit nor throttle temperature. The performance governor is the only thing you needed to change without sacrificing on battery life. With this setup when the SoCs temperature hits it's throttle temperature it'll turn off because there's no permissible frequency for it to scale down to.

The best thing you can do for a device like this is to lock them at base frequencies and use the power save governor. This way you get longer battery life for calls and texts.

This the most shocking. Without flashing a kernel, the SOT of the rom without gaming is 6hrs. Absolutely horrible.


But for me present SOT is worth it for miui12. It has blown me away with it's UI and customization. This is my first custom rom since 4 years now so I'm still a little excited.

My SOT before flashing inception. Even my hot 3 with 3000mah battery never had such a poor SOT.

Finally solved my battery drain issues by flashing inception 6.2 kernel. The battery lasts longer and miui12 which lagging is not buttery smooth like miui11.

Been using Xiaomi.eu for over a year now... Never seen anything like this. From your screenshots, it is apparent that something has been keeping your phone "awake" even when it should be "sleeping", hence the battery drain.. Probably a combination of core system apps.. Not sure. Wait for stable builds if a standard wipe, reinstallation or reboot doesn't solve your problem.....or..... you can join the AOSP wagon.. It's a pretty popular wagon, by the way!

That said, going through some replies after your post, I find it utterly hilarious that some persons have chosen to take this personal given our earlier disagreements on ROM superiority... Another bold testament that some people badly need to grow up, on a more serious note.

Xiaomi.eu remains the most stable & cleanest ROM ever!; that's not my opinion only; it is the opinion of hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. Can't wait for the next stable build.. I refresh links twice a day in sheer anticipation

As for AOSP roms, the number of complaints and problems I see on xda really scares me. Almost all of them have a major bug on rn8.

More like dark mode is more better on MIUI 12 than MIUI 11. That is why Xiaomi called it Dark mode 2.0 during MIUI 12 Launch.

I'm already seeing little bugs sef. The phone isn't as buttery smooth as before. It's a beta rom sha.

The only thing I'm afraid of is the anti rollback protection. I don't know if it happens on rn8.
