I usually don't do reviews even when I get a high end phone but I just have to do this.

I've used iPhones and Samsung phones. My last being the S20 Ultra, one problem I have always had was battery as I'm a heavy user and no matter what I did to conserve battery nothing just works. Mind you, S20 Ultra has 5000mah battery but it barely gets through the whole day. In fact the most screen on time I have gotten on it is 7hrs 30mins on FHD screen and medium battery saving settings.

After the sad battery experience I decided trying Xiaomi, I got Note 9s of 5020mah which has completely blown me away in terms of battery life. I have been trying to run it down literally but I can't. I have been surfing the net, watching movies still I can't run it down. I intentional said I won't charge since yesterday morning....... Guess what? I still have 45% battery left which will last me the rest of the day.

Screen on time is over 8hrs already meaning I can still get about 6hrs SOT.

Overall these phones don't compare to Samsung functionalities but I'm beginning to think Samsung makes wack battery or they fake the capacity.

Samsung s20 ultra has a bigger screen, higher screen resolution and double the refresh rate. Comparing both batteries is totally unfair to the s20 ultra.



Also the exynos version of the s30 ultra is bad. It drains battery like mad.

You're totally correct. What I do now is to sub for night plan on Glo,100 Naira for 5 days.

I've stopped using that glo plan because it's frustrating my life. Imagine depriving yourself of sleep to see 45kb/s speed at midnight.

Mtn is a disgrace. What you are complaining of has been happening for over a year. I stopped using my main mtn data sim for midnight plan because of this.


It's a very useless network . The worst part is the 500mb midnight plan is actually 420mb. After you use 360mb, mtn will automatically disconnect your network and throttle the speed. So you will have to connect and disconnect to use the remaining 60mb.

fortnight is graphically demanding, even new phones like the redmi note 9s a friend just bought, he was locked at 30fps. He hasn't tried with gfx tools though. My cousin uses spark 4, it didn't even launch.

The game is mainly for flaghsip or flagship killers.

Really wow, well looking at the Note 8 pro and the note 9s/pro, I don't think there's even an upgrade from the note 8 pro.

So right now, I better stick with and enjoy my Note 8 pro �

Rn9s has a better battery and a more power-efficient soc. It would also support various gcam and custom rom ports.


It would also play emulated games better than the rn8pro if that's what you would be interested in.

Helio g70 isn't better than sd 660 and 665. Neither is helio p65.

You know a brand is truly horrible when they treat 4G lte like a premium feature in 2020.

It requires unlocking bootloader and rooting.

I thought you had a custom kernel. You need Kernel Auditor to overclock though. At least that's the one I used last on an LG G6.

Nope, I just used 3c toolbox to reduce the cpu frequency of the powersaving cores to 1ghz.

But how do i overclock? I thought custom kernels were needed for that?

I finally managed to squeeze a 12hr SOT from the rn8 which is a miracle

The previous highest I got was 9hr 30 mins.

I did it by underclocking the cpu with 3c toolbox(root). I don miss root sha


Games weren't involved although i played COD for 30 mins.

YouTube is a video sharing site. It's common practice to want to see things first hand and that's the best place for such info. If I were to share screenshots of Camon 15 premier running Fortnite at 60fps would you believe it?

Pros:
The camera is very good especially with gcam

The phone is buttery smooth with multitasking. Apps don't hang. It's a 4gb ram phone that feels like 6gb.

The 1080p lcd display is beautiful.


Plays pubg, cod, pes 2020 without lag at medium settings and framerate.


The battery is ok for non-gaming tasks. You get an 8-9hr SOT.


Supports a lot of custom roms and gcam ports


Cons:
Stock camera takes mediocre pics at times

Online games can suck the battery with straw

Supports only usb 2.0, so u can't connect it directly to your tv through hdmi


Uses emmc storage.
