PhonesThis Infinix Hot Note Is Only N23,500. Will You Buy? - Jim's BIG Thing by Olaryeankarh(op):
Having being teased by JUMIA with the Jim's Big thing stuff, we now have the surprise. It's a phone; it's an Infinix! It's a HOT NOTE.
The Infinix Hot Note is a great device that promises great output in general but something spectacular about this device is the massive battery it packs (4000mAh) and it has support for fast charging. Fast charging will make your phone's battery charge very quickly.

The Hot Note is a phablet with 5.5 inch HD screen quoted at 720x1280 pixels. It has a 1.4GHz Octa-core processor manufactured by MediaTek and 1GB RAM to make things run well. For the camera, there is an 8MP camera which can take 1080P videos and a 2MP secondary camera on the front for selfie addicts and of course, those who make video calls.

In all, the Infinix Hot Note comes with the basic features a mid-range device should have. It is neat, slim and very light. The design and color variants are attractive too.
For full specifications, video and where to buy, see the source link: http://www.mobileraft.com/infinix-hot-note-x551-specs-price/

Now the question: Do you love this device? Will you buy it at all? Let's gist cheesy

PhonesThis Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Is FAKE!!! by Olaryeankarh(op): 8:00pm On Mar 09, 2015
[see attachment]

HOW DO I SPOT A FAKE SAMSUNG GALAXY (NOTE 4)?

Even tech enthusiasts are not spared from falling for many Chinese products posing to be a real Galaxy phanpium (pardon my gibberish). They look exactly the same vis-a-vis and if you are not well grounded with mobile revolution, you might end up using your new phone for months without realizing it is FAKE! The day you realize, you will know what exactly you have been missing – A big regret. Now, note these tips:

1. Be familiar with the original Samsung Galaxy Note 4 models. Traditionally, a Galaxy device should have the prefix ‘SM’ and then model number immediately following it on the box. SM-N910F is a correct Samsung Galaxy Note 4 model number; other network-specific variants can be in form of SM-N910P, SM-N910A and SM-N910T). If however, you see something like N910 only, you should know by now that it’s one of those clones you don’t want to buy.

2. Go into the phone’s settings. Select About Phone and you should see a Custom Build version of “i9228” as well as a Baseband version of “MOLY”. Anything other than this, it’s simple, KEEP OFF!

3. A fake Samsung Galaxy NOTE 4 will show you some Chinese characters (which I doubt you’d understand) when you power off the device and holding down the Volume down + Center Home + Power on buttons aftermath. Ordinarily, you should see ODIN download mode which is expected to display the original model number of the NOTE at the top....

More at: http://www.mobileraft.com/how-to-spot-a-fake-samsung-galaxy-note-4/

Watch out for phones with prices that are too good to be true. When you buy a fake/cloned device, you will end up spending more than budgeted on the long run.
Cheers!

SanDisk stuns us with a massive 200GB micro SD card which is the next big thing when it comes to storage media. 2GB, 4GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and then 200GB?

Anyway, official specs say:
- Can hold up to 20 hours of Full HD Video
- Transfers up to 12,000 photos in 60 seconds at a top speed of 90MB/s
- Comes with SD card adapter for MIL cameras
- Water-proof, Temperature-proof, X-ray proof & Magnet-proof.

....so they said.
This is a great little accessory but the price scares me (you too probably?). We hear it will be available this year from Quarter 2 and it will go for $400; roughly N80,000 when you hit your calculator @ N200/dollar.

If you use a device that worth N25,000 and you buy this SD card at $400 because you need to store every movie in this world on your phone, I leave your case to yourself cheesy grin grin

EducationHow Your Mobile Phone Can Help You To Score High Grades In JAMB by Olaryeankarh(op): 11:20am On Mar 03, 2015
The fear of getting good grades in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is expectedly increasing each year of the century and matters have gotten worse since we heard the news that everything which concerneth JAMB or UTME is going wireless (paperless in short). This fear unfortunately, has led many students to early failure even before taking the examination – it happened last year, the year before and seem to iterate itself each year.

Because UTME is going computerized in full and an average Nigerian student spends over 7 hours daily on his/her mobile phone, let’s connect the dots and find a way your mobile phone can help in scoring excellent marks in this year’s UTME.

Quick Advice

-Be yourself.
-Know your limits and maximize your reach.
-If you have failed before, calm down. It might just be fate!
-Believe you worth a great score and that you can get it.

HOW YOUR MOBILE PHONE CAN HELP YOU TO PASS JAMB

Tell me you have not used your phone for over 15 minutes today already and I’ll call you a liar. Although for some reasons (most especially battery issues), you might not have. The question is, what do you do on your mobile phone each time you pick it up? Just calls, text, chat, music, games, what? For serious students, there’s more to your mobile phone. Even the smallest of them can be a good calculator when you’re trying to find out the percentage profit or loss from a math question. SEE? Instead of burning quality time on excessive social engagement, you can use what you like to get what you wish (good grades).

Your mobile phone as a textbook:

The internet is a library of abundant information and cheats. Cheats I say? Yes, you are free to cheat before examinations. Depending on the operating system running on your phone, you can get a PDF reader to open subject materials you find online. Google is your friend in this regard! There are other document formats but you’ll find most in PDF. My point here is that, instead of reading a bunch of valueless status updates, tweets or chats, you can do some reading about one or more topic of your favorite subject without leaving your beloved mobile phone. The fun of it is that, you can listen to music or get something fun running on your phone while you do this. Just you and your mobile!

Your mobile phone as a Mathematical Set:

Don’t be shocked when I say your mobile phone can be used as a ruler. Almost all the popular mobile operating systems have kind developers that care much about students who are addicted to their mobile phones. There are lots of productivity apps that will help mathematicians get stuff done as quickly as possible; anytime, anywhere. While the pre-installed calculator may not have advance functions, I can bet Android, Windows Phone and iOS and BlackBerry have quite a handful of scientific calculators in their respective app stores. Go explore your store and see if that app you need is there. Should be!

Your mobile phone as a Literature Book:

At least I know Aldiko Reader for Android and Bookvise Reader for Windows Phone. These are great electronic book readers you can have on your most loved phone. While you are in the car, bus or somewhere alone, you can help yourself by getting familiar with the world of literature – obviously by reading ‘meaningful’ books that can help your vocabulary and knowledge in English language overall. Remember, no one can escape writing English Language in JAMB.

Your mobile phone as a Live Teacher

Google, Bing and Yahoo are your friends when it comes to finding something. A student once told me she learnt how to solve questions that involves Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy via the internet – Physics! Is there a topic you feel you’re not sound enough? Check the internet; some people have explained it there for you. It’s either it becomes more complex or extremely easy to understand! Today, there are numerous videos on YouTube teaching you various subject topics. Why don’t you find more of these videos instead of the latest music video (at least for now)? Also, you can talk to your subject teacher through the internet – thanks to that same Facebook and WhatsApp you make use of everyday! When something is not clear, take a picture of what you did and send to your teacher for clarifications. Cool right? Bet you never thought of it!

Wish you all the best!

Thanks to a folk over at XDA-Developers who has done something that might give you a reason to stick with your current Galaxy or whichever Android phone. Cool!
You don't have to get a Galaxy Note or the S4 to house that ripple and ink lock screen. It's now available for any Android 4.x phone on Google Play Store. What's more cool that cool?
And?
Your Android device does not need to be rooted to install 'Galaxy S4 Lockscreen'

If your device runs Android 4.0 and above, you can download and install the app if you wish to.

PoliticsHappy 53rd Independence Nigerians! Every Nigerian Should Read This Short Piece by Olaryeankarh(op): 12:17pm On Oct 01, 2013
53 years ago today, A great land of green pastures was set free. He became a man, he began to take responsibilities.
Things changed and events took place; Notable and Negligible, His people were loving, He was flowing with milk and honey.
Tragedy and set-backs recurrently disturbed His colony. Yet, He strived to give His people the best.
Soon, His people began to turn against themselves in discomfort and His friends began to see Him as a bad egg to the world.

However, a countable number of people didn't look upon Him as bad as they're generating all means to make Him great amidst all odds.
The one who was set free now became the one who sought freedom.
Corruption, Poor Education, Insecurity were his biggest challenges. Help Needed!

He's 53 today, a percentage of His people are celebrating him for greatness, others for mockery and disdain.
Nigerians! are we making a great nation?
Rub off the ink that stamps 'bad leaders' in your heart and let the great nation start from you.

Let's fight it together and not turn our back. Our youths should desist from getting bribe to vote for leaders without giving a second thought. Let us love one another and be in unity. The desperation for fame, money and power should be normalised and not excessively practised.

We are Nigerians, We are of the great nation Nigeria!

Happy 53rd Independence Day everyone!

EducationASUP Once Again Declares Nationwide Strike by Olaryeankarh(op):
Today, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) declared a fresh nationwide strike.
The strike initially started early this year, but the federal government still failed to meet the demands of the association for a period of 81 days, the union decided to place it on suspension and now it's back.
How true?
Well, it was reported that the National Public Secretary of ASUP, Comrade Clement Chirman revealed this information in Jos and added that the decision was made after the union's NEC meeting in Abuja.

The strike is said to begin fully on monday.

PhonesRe: BBM For Android Released + Download Links by Olaryeankarh(op): 5:49am On Sep 22, 2013
For users experiencing some sort of errors, I think BlackBerry has something to do with it. See message from them:

Prior to launching BBM for Android, an unreleased version of the BBM for Android app was posted online.
The interest and enthusiasm we have seen already – more than 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours without even launching the official Android app – is incredible.
Consequently, this unreleased version caused issues, which we have attempted to address throughout the day.
Our teams continue to work around the clock to bring BBM to Android and iPhone, but only when it’s ready and we know it will live up to your expectations of BBM.
We are pausing the global roll-out of BBM for Android and iPhone.
Customers who have already downloaded BBM for iPhone will be able to continue to use BBM.
The unreleased Android app will be disabled, and customers who downloaded it should visit www.BBM.com to register for updates on official BBM for Android availability. As soon as we are able, we will begin a staggered country roll-out of BBM for Android and continue the roll-out of BBM for iPhone.

Please follow @BBM on Twitter for the latest updates and go to www.BBM.com to sign-up for updates about BBM for Android and iPhone.

These issues have not impacted BBM service for BlackBerry.
