What the authentic hadiths do say is:
The Prophet ﷺ kissed the Black Stone during ṭawāf.
Reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
This establishes that kissing the Black Stone is a Sunnah during Hajj or Umrah if one can do so without harming others.

ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (رضي الله عنه) said:
"I know that you are only a stone; you neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissing you, I would not have kissed you."
Sahih al-Bukhari (1597) and Sahih Muslim (1270).

This hadith is important because it shows that Muslims kiss the Black Stone only because the Prophet ﷺ did so, not because the stone itself has any independent power.

There is an authentic hadith about the Black Stone's origin:
"The Black Stone descended from Paradise and was whiter than milk, but the sins of the children of Adam made it black."
Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who graded it ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ.

This hadith explains why the stone is black, but it does not say that kissing it erases sins.
